Hello my name is Natalie. I am a mother of 2 ages 4 and 5 years old. When they are sick taking their temp is no easy task there's looking for paper or if none writing. The temps in my arm to keep track of them. It's just crazy and my kids are getting impatient because they already dont feel well. I was lucky enough to be part of a social testing group called influenster that lets you test products that match up to certain surveys you take. I was matched with this very thermometer whichever me tell you came just in time! My daughter had suddenly came with the flu over night and having a thermometer that links to your phone and every time you take the temp it reads it and stores and let's you I put the symptoms is every moms best friend . We already naturally have our phones with us or our child is playing games on it so access to the phone a snap. I grabbed thermometer used the Bluetooth connectivity and took my child's temp and there it displayed the temp and showed me through out the day what the different temps were and at what time I even emailed with the option to
To my husband her almost chart so he can see her temps it's great for sending to doctors or saving for the next visit letting them see how the child been feeling
I'm a huge fan and recommend for those moms that need a fast way to take temp and keep organized

I wanted to off set the poor reviews with my actual experience. The thermometer and VicksSmartTempThermometer interface appear to be accurate and working well for me. The person who wrote that values can't be entered manually didn't read the very easy to understand FAQ section that explains how to do this or maybe it wasn't available at the time of their review. The only thing missing from VicksSmartTempThermometer right now is the manual. I was hoping it was actually there under the heading "Manual" so that I didn't have to keep the small paper foldout that came with the thermometer. Hopefully, this will be added soon in an update. Setup was finished in about 1 minute. VicksSmartTempThermometer even shows how much battery life is left. My battery life shows 82% even though I just purchased this. The thermometer didn't come with one of those plastic strips - that you remove upon first use - that would decrease battery drain before use. I gave VicksSmartTempThermometer and thermometer 5 stars because it does what it says it's suppose to and appears to do this accurately.

I was very excited to receive this thermometer from Influenster for testing purposes. I am a very busy mom of a 5 and 3 year old boys who hate their temperature to be takin but love to play with my iPhone. So when I combined to good with the bad the results were amazing. I linked the thermometer up with the Bluetooth on my phone after I download the Vicks SmartTemp App and the boys had fun watching their temperature rise on VicksSmartTempThermometer . It reads quite quickly and is very accurate. VicksSmartTempThermometer also keeps track of all the boys readings in their own personal profile. Couldn't ask for a better way to stay organized when we live such a busy lifestyle. And now that my oldest just stared kindergarten it seems like he is catching everything under the sun so when he's feeling a little under the weather we grab our new Vicks thermometer to find out if we need to take a dose of Tylenol.

I appreciate the overall simplicity VicksSmartTempThermometer provides.
I am a blind individual. It has always been a chore to tell my temp. I had a thermometer that had differing audible beeps. This was to let you know an approximate of your temp. However, then I would need sighted assistance to know actual temp.
Along came the smart thermometers. Great idea, which provides the blind community it's independence.
I first purchased a much more expensive unit from Withings. Couldn't even activate the thermometer. VicksSmartTempThermometer didn't work with a screen reader... So I couldn't even finish activating my account.
Along comes the Vicks Smart Thermometer... VicksSmartTempThermometer is completely accessible for a blind individual to use. Not only that; I didn't have to open an account... Then build a profile. VicksSmartTempThermometer just has you start a profile.
Building a basic profile and activating my thermometer took less than 5minutes to complete. Then was able to take first temperature reading.
I can now follow my temp when not feeling well... More importantly, I do not need to bother someone to read a temp for me when running a fever.
Highly recommend to those in my blind community... Easy setup with directions already in VicksSmartTempThermometer . You can't go wrong!

I love the concept of VicksSmartTempThermometer. I really loved the individual profiles so you can keep track of multiple temperatures. It seemed like every time I tried to take my daughters temperature it would start and stop before I was ready so I think all of the readings were inaccurate. I got frustrated after a couple of attempts. I think it has great potential but seems too inaccurate right now. I received this product complimentary for testing purposes.

1st: having to give a star for this crap is one star too many for this useless thermometer! took temperature 5 times in a row and got completely different results each time ranging from 95.9 to 98.7 and all that within 15 minutes.
I then used a classic mercury thermometer twice in a row and both times I got 98.9.
If a fever thermometer cannot give you accurate readings well then it's just useless, plain and simple, no matter how nice VicksSmartTempThermometer is; the thermometer does not work.

after reading all the wonderful reviews on here I thought that maybe my thermometer had been broken so I returned it and purchased a new one.
The same happened.
I just took my temperature orally 5 times in a row again.
Every reading was completely different. I got temperatures from 97. 5 too 100.8. (!!)
I honestly do not understand these good reviews of the product. It is totally inaccurate and 100% useless.
Sure, VicksSmartTempThermometer is nice and shiny and looks good but what good is that if you're trying to find out whether you've got a fever or not and instead of an accurate reading you get some random readings that have nothing to do with your actual body temperature.
Very, very frustrating.
Advice:
DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP FOR IT IS A WASTE OF $ and time with a dash of extra annoying.

I received this thermometer free for testing purposes from Influenster. VicksSmartTempThermometer is a very useful app and it actually makes me relieved that I can track temperatures and not have to remember what the highest temp that was taken. It is extremely easy to use and/or figure out. I love that there are multiple profiles so that you can remember the whole family's temperatures. I am a mommy and this definitely helps me during the most stressful times which are sick times. With VicksSmartTempThermometer I can easily answer the doctors/nurses question easily and accurately about my families symptoms and temperatures. I like when you take a temperature it tell you how severe it is based on the child's age.

I've been using this thermometer and app for several months now. I received it from Influenster for testing purposes and it has been a useful addition to my medicine cabinet. VicksSmartTempThermometer works pretty well, doesn't crash, and is easy to manually enter anything you need. It keeps a great record. It does struggle with communicating with the thermometer from time to time which is why I can't give it 5 stars. Since the corresponding thermometer doesn't display anything, this can get frustrating when you're taking your kid's temperature multiple times. I love that you can enter in medicine dosages and you have a clear record of everything so you can reference it as needed. Overall, a great app!

I love all of the options I have with this thermometer. One tool can do oral, axillary and rectal temps, eliminating the need for multiple thermometers. It can also track temps over time and record when medication was given to help track frequency of dosing. Easy to use and with so many extras, VicksSmartTempThermometer and thermometer together are a dynamic duo.

I love how quickly it produces a reading and the colt coding to help tired, frazzled parents translate what the number means in terms of fever severity. This tool provides important data regarding fevers, all automatically recorded and easily accessed n case of need for reference, which is really handy for a long-term illness and any reporting one may need to do to a physician.

I received this product for free to give my honest opinion. I Absolutly love this thermometer. I am able to keep track of my 3 toddlers temperature when they get sick and can get notified when to give the next dose of medicine. This is very handy when you go to a sick doctors appointment and they ask what how long your child us been sick and symptoms and temperatures. I love this little device so much! It really has made things a lot simpler for me as a busy mom who works from home goes to school full time and cares for 3 children under 4 years old.

I love this thermometer and app. It stores my entire family's temperatures and allows me to input symptoms with each reading. The readings are color coded so you know if the temperature is normal, mild, or high. For the kids my preferred method is under arm. I've compared readings with other thermometers and this is accurate. The readings are very quick and even my squiggly 14 month old can stay still long enough. Only downside is there isn't a display on the thermometer itself so it must be used with VicksSmartTempThermometer . I received this product free for testing purposes.

I received a Vicks Smart Temp Thermometer free for testing purposes. As a mom, I love that VicksSmartTempThermometer stores temperature data, including when and how I took the temp. The oral reading is tricky, any movement makes it hard to get an accurate reading. And the data does not sync to multiple devices - so if my husband wants to use the thermometer, he also needs VicksSmartTempThermometer and the data is not available to me. It’s easy to use, easy to set up profiles for each family member. The ability to share data or have it store within an account would make it a 5 star app.

I received the product for testing purposes from influenster. I am a mother of two children and if your like me, when both your children get sick at the same time you are constantly checking temperatures and writing them down on paper. Well now you don't have too. When using this product you can take child A's temperature and place it in their profile. Then you can take child B's temperature and do the same. This thermometer is a life saver!!!! I highly recommend!

I received this product free for testing purposes and all opinions are my own. The thermometer itself is easy to use. It has nice design that isn't bulky. As for VicksSmartTempThermometer , I love that I can input all of my family's info into it. It keeps track of the temp, syptoms, when they had their medicine and when they should get it next. It really is a great thing to have if you have multiple people that are under the weather. As a mom of 3 I definitely recommend this product!

I was excited when I received this thermometer. I got it for free to review. I loved VicksSmartTempThermometer and cordless functionality of the thermometer, as I have another thermometer that's iPhone compatible, but requires a cord.

Unfortunately, I found this thermometer wasn't accurate. I tried it on my toddler when sick, and myself to determine it's validity. Compared to the other thermometers in the house, it was a few degrees less every time.

I'm hopeful that the thermometer I received was malfunctioning, and that it's not a representation of the majority of these thermometers. I've had other Vicks thermometers in the past and have always been pleased. This one just didn't cut it.

I love this new Vicks SmartTemp app. It records all the readings you want & for each person separately. Let's you keep track of symptoms & all the info you need to share with your dr for you or your family. It has definitely made my life easier in this way. The only things that are a little annoying is you need VicksSmartTempThermometer to use the thermometer & you have to activate Bluetooth each time. Would be helpful if you could authorize it to automatically activate the Bluetooth feature. Otherwise I HIGHLY recommend VicksSmartTempThermometer & thermometer!!

I absolutely love this thermometer...I went to drug store to get my sick daughter some Motrin for a fever...my thermometer is old and outdated so looked at this contemplated on it. And the price is not bad at all considering all it does...I read the reviews and they are mixed reviews so I decided to write a good one because you really should get this it hooked right up to my iPhone and keeps track of all fevers it's just something you should consider if you need to get a thermometer

I received this thermometer free from Influenster to test and give my HONEST review on. I have two kids. Boys, at that. I love how easy it is to keep track of their fevers when their sick and having everything right here on my phone so I can refer back to it. I also love that I can write down when they've had their medicine, and track if their temps have gone up or down. Truly if I hadn't gotten this for free I would've bought it. So easy to use. I'm a first time mom and the one thing I was told most often was to make sure I have a reliable thermometer for my family. I love how easy to use the thermometer and app are. I can measure our temperatures and keep track of everyone in our family. This is such a great idea and makes it very useful when I can show the Doctor the data. I highly recommend!

My 5 year old got sick Saturday. I received the Vicks smart temp thermometer from influenester to try out not to long ago for free. This was first time I had some sicklings. I loved I could monitor her temps, medication, set reminders, and do the same for multiple kids. When I talked to doctor I was very informed and not oh crap when did I do this. In the middle of the night I knew when and what I had to do it was in one place!
