Amazing! Until it’s not.

The first night I had the little cube camera I downloaded Eyeplus and bought a subscription for a week. The setup worked easily once I got close to my router and it remained connected to the WiFi when I moved the camera into my office. There were several motion triggered events that recorded into the cloud and everything was working perfectly and then Eyeplus suddenly said my camera was disconnected and to reconnect it.

No matter what I do it will not reconnect. I’ve tried plugging it in to power and resetting the device but it won’t reset to where the blue light blinks so it can be paired to WiFi. NOTHING will make the light blink. I even let it run the battery down completely, then recharged it and turned it on and held reset button for 10 seconds multiple times. The blue light won’t blink and therefore the device will not even go through the pairing process correctly.

The camera is clearly defective and for the $25 I paid it’s not worth the hassle of returning it. Too bad I got SUCKERED into the one month subscription.

If you are looking for a good solution just go to Walmart and buy the D-link camera for $30. No subscription required and it emails you the recordings.

This this app app and camera is a waste of time and money.

Event recording not reliable.

I had the hardest time trying to get event monitoring to work. After several times changing the configurations, deleting Eyeplus and reinstalling Eyeplus , I finally got it to work correctly.

Recently I got a notification that there was a new version to install. After installing it I can’t get event monitoring to work again. It continually records to my SD card instead of recording just the events. I know I have everything configured correctly. Very unreliable and frustrating!

Before you can even view your cameras, you have to watch ad of 30 seconds I mean how dumb is that you could be getting robbed and you won’t know because you gotta wait and watch an ad that’s the way they do so people can pay to not have the ads, but if you notice it’s a ridiculous amount that they want money wise just to remove that feature

Recent updates made it worthless

This product is nearly unusable with the latest updates. It randomly shuts off Eyeplus (asks if we still want it on but we use it while we’re sleeping) and the schedule on / off doesn’t work. If you make a change to the schedule, it just goes back to the default times. We use this for our baby monitor, but it’s now worthless. Do not buy this product.

Update is awful

With the new update I’m not able to zoom and the continuous monitor feature pauses after 5 mins and makes you tap the screen to resume. I hate it and wish they would go back to the devious version or give options to continually monitor. I use the cameras as a baby monitor and can’t hear her cry if I’m not watching and un pausing the camera. I purchased a years subscription to the cloud and now I’m upset! I’ve emailed the provider and of course there has been no response!

Not to happy

Bought one and was happy could rewind and I liked how notifications were sent when movement. So went and bought another one , after that the first one stopped recording saying I have to pay for cloud service for it to record .. so I put my sd card in to record to that and it keeps kicking back saying there is no sd in device and won’t record. So I got suckered into paying for cloud service.. well they charge 6.99 and then you get another charge to your bank for an “exchange fee to convert to their funds”?!?! Ok well I just went and paid again and it won’t let me rewind like I used to be able to do.. how do I access the recording that I am PAYING for and why can’t my sd card record why am I forced to pay for playback services?!?!

Extremely buggy

I used to love these cameras but I will not be renewing my cloud subscription when they expire this time. It’s constantly flashing in night mode so it gives false motion alerts and it is constantly disconnecting when trying to view the cameras. Very frustrating!!
Update: somehow my account went into auto renew and they were nice enough to refund the money when I realized what happened.

Eh...

I love the cameras. I have 2 of them and was very pleased with everything up until this week. I’ve had them a little under 2 months and now they both keep going offline and I have to reset both the modem and router. Now I’m having problems with Eyeplus . Used to could log in whenever but now when I’m home I can’t log in over my WiFi, I have to turn off WiFi on my phone to be able to log in.

Won’t play right

I originally purchased 2 and loved them. I ordered 2 more within the month and am going to have to return these I guess. The service keeps stopping and when you try to go back and watch a video- it goes from one time to another with a blank period in between not recording even though there was people in room and activity. It did not perform as needed today and that’s not reliable.

Was happy, not so much now

First got the device a few weekes ago and it worked great. Went on a long vacation and it was fantastic. Now my video Playback will not even load. It says my device is not connected to wifi. Troubleshooting is prehistoric with only option to readd the wifi. Not happy, hope they have a update with a lot of fixes soon.

Nice cam. Software/support not so much

Cams have very good fidelity have great sensitivity, very good night vision and are super easy to set up. The software frequently lags badly when accessing the feed, recent update literally took a month to get it to work on 2 of my 4 cams and forget about trying to get an even minimal amount of support..it is completely non-existent.

Won’t connect to WiFi

The camera works great connected via Ethernet to an Ethernet-to-WiFi bridge, but it will not connect directly to my WiFi network. It keeps telling me “WiFi connection failed”. I tried many times. I verified that the 2.4GHz network is active. It may not like the length of my password (28 characters) or the fact that I’m using WPA2, but I’m not wanting to disrupt my network to try a shorter password.

Needs local time and better password field

Eyeplus as functional as expected but there seems to be no way to change the time stamps from Beijing time

Also the password field has different characters available when you’re setting up your account versus when you try to login so you can’t actually type special characters that you may have used when setting up your password

Fair app

Not crazy about Eyeplus since you can’t use it on windows PC. Also the camera has sound and motion detection but the camera doesn’t move automatically to the sound or motion and this could have been put into Eyeplus as well. App is easy to use, easy to set up and I like the feature where you can use the camera on a shelf or as a dome. Has a lot of room for improvements. And the developer should shoot for making theses changes ASAP. The more the camera sells the more money he makes.

It good but

I love the camera and Eyeplus I just wish I didn’t have to pay a fee in order for it to work correctly. $6 a month isn’t a lot but I don’t need 7 days of recordings I have a card in it. Now that I am not paying for it Eyeplus doesn’t want to work the same and It says it is not connected often.

App to buggy

Eyeplus has to many bugs, it hangs up and freezes during setting. The interface is cool just need to get the glitches handled, and stop slowing down the features because we haven’t purchased a plan.

Good camera, but...

I really like the option between saving to the cloud or SD card. The only issue I’ve really run into is there seems to be no sound. I bought 2 cameras and neither have sound for live or playback. Oh well, still gets the job done and records when it senses sound like it should.

Super cool,just a question about recorded videos

I like this software upgrade ,however i’ve a question:why the audio and motion are the same color in the “play the video” section? I liked the old style version before(orange=motion and blue=sound)-My IOS is version 12.1, but in my laptop(chrome) don’t have that issue. Thankxs a lot!, -ric

I like the new and most recent updates

Keep the great job guys; im going to order more cameras i have two. If you guys continue making updates to maintain Eyeplus running good...; i promise i will get more cameras and i will pay for the service, fix the live view it freezes while watching on my ios or computer. If you guys have different cameras let me know

Great App!

My husband and I love Eyeplus! It is so convenient to keep our eyes on our dogs throughout the day while we’re at work! We ended up paying for the 7-day recording from the cloud service and were so glad we did! Sometimes the service will go offline for a minute but will alert us when this happens (it’s our crappy WiFi) but will pop right back! I only wish I was able to get Eyeplus on my computer so I wouldn’t have to pull out my phone at work when I wanted to check the camera.
