Im an elementary school teacher. The videos are great. The tests are a little too difficult and some are only a few questions meaning grades get low very quickly. I had no idea this subscription was $30/month. For simple videos this is very pricey. It makes me sad that my kids can’t use this because it’s already cost me a $100 for a few months and with thanksgiving and now Xmas holiday I don’t use it. I’m a single mom

I’ve been using Studycom for a few months now to obtain college credit. This truly is great for all types of learners! I didn’t think it would work well for me as I typically learn by hands on or interacting with an instructor. But I’ve had great success with this program! And I must say that the tech support is pretty great too. They corrected an app issue within days of being reported. The videos are awesome and the short quizzes at the end of each really help me to retain new knowledge! To the teachers: Thanks for the hard work and great material! I’m definitely going to continue paying for it until I’ve gotten all the credit I can since it’s much cheaper than traditional schools.

My style of learning. The videos are straight to the point and explains concepts in a digestible way. You also get the videos transcript. If that isn’t enough the material is also broken down in small units that you can read. After each unit you can take a short quiz 5 question quiz to test your knowledge. You also get 10 free questions that you can ask subject matter “experts” - who answers your question within the day. After you burn through the 10 free questions you can RE-up each question would be $4 or buy a package of 10 for $40.

I used this tool as recommended by a Florida teacher to pass the Biology FTCE.

It was a MAJOR part in my success.

Here’s what I did:
-Watched videos/ read text and took quizzes until I got 100s on each one.
-Used a guide book as a general pointer of what I needed to study in the field of Biology.
- Took book diagnostic tests (about 5 times)
- Took online exams that mimicked the FTCE exam
- Got a teaching mentor and a good mental well being support group.

At times I thought this tool was TOO in depth and thought I was wasting my time.. thinking there’s no chance that Okazaki fragments would show up on the test.. guess what- they sure did!

This tool saved my bacon.

I used it on a weekly basis (4-5 days for 1-2 hours)

It took me 6 months of prep, having had a 5 year gap between my humanities degree and no studying in between to pass the first time.

Invest in yourself, invest in this tool :)

I have really enjoyed being able to study on the go. I listen while cleaning, driving and more. However, I wish there was a way to listen without my phone screen being on, I wish that I could leave Studycom and come back where I left off, but the section within the chapter restarts. I wish I knew sooner that retaking the practice exam gives new questions, I thought it was like the quizzes that repeat the same questions..and I’m doing US history 2 and one of the lecturers sounds as though she has a speech impediment which I’m not judging but makes it difficult to understand what she’s trying to say.

You can view excerpts of the information available which may be enough for if you’re just looking for certain information, but to view anything in it’s entirety or to take a course you have to sign up and pay $60 a month for unlimited access and you can cancel at anytime. I was disappointed seeing no in-app purchase in apps the description.

Was very excited about this opportunity because everywhere I turn I’m getting money squeezed out of me for this process of getting my credentials. Our family isn’t poor but we don’t have all this money to dump into study material to ensure I pass my exam. Thought this would be a good chance for me to learn and practice. Was nice until I tried to take the practice exam and found out I could answer 1 question before being asked to subscribe! $299!!! Jesus! That’s more than it costs to actually take the test. Why is every book, app, and study guide so expensive! God forbid someone tries to succeed who doesn’t have endless amounts of money! Very disappointed!

I really hate giving such a low rating but any app who has a broken link to cancel a subscription is a scam. I finally found a place to report a problem with the link and left this note: I actually really like Studycom and may have used it again if needed but if I can’t cancel cause the link won’t work then no way. That’s a crap way to keep someone from cancelling and will force me to dispute the charge with my credit card if I can’t cancel.

I was then sent an email saying they would cancel but also had this attached to it (direct copy from the email from ‘Maurice’):
‘We would appreciate civility on communications as a common courtesy for all parties. We will give consideration on this one but any further communication with horrible language and approach will be deleted and blocked. Thank you for your understanding.’

First they scam you with an inactive cancel system then they send an email insulting you. I liked the material and may have used it again for my kids if needed but NO WAY will I do it now. Using the word crap won’t even cause a g rated film to lose its rating.

I been taking classes for two weeks now, trying to finish so I douhave to pay much, but this is a set up. Write many emails trying to contact someone and when they answer with an email no one give the answer I ask for. Everyone give the same answer and don't really help with the questions Im concerned. When I ask for a call back 3 times never call back. I been talling them that I'm struggling with the course for two weeks and no support respond. THIS IS A SET UP. They take two weuto review a test, not even Harvard takes this long. It's a set up so you don't finish the class in one month, and keep paying the membership. I'm very disappointed, Im a mom with 3 kids with no money and time to loose. This is sad and unbelievable.

Criminal Justice says there are 107 (or so) chapters but I can only see 11! Navigating is convoluted and not very simple. I should be able to toggle back and forth easier than I can. I think you need to have more input from people who aren’t the developers so you can find out where to make improvements. Also I gave you guys my credit card because I need the help. But I was never told what the cost is up front. It just says free trial...You can do better. I might cancel this if I don’t see improvements within the30 day time frame which would be too bad because I have two kids who also enjoy using Studycom!

This is the ultimate best education app I’ve found. You can look up basically any class - from high school to college and also it has specific Uexcel courses and Clep - if you’re testing out for college credit. They even have a chemistry certificate course.
I can’t tell you how invaluable Studycom has been for me. The lessons make everything extremely easy to learn and study for.
I can’t recommend this enough for people .
Worth the money? Oh yeah.

I am only 4 classes away from my bachelors from being finished and I am sad I did not find this earlier!!! I could have saved sooo much time and finished school early.

At least 3 of the 4 are in this program. I am ecstatic because the videos, progress checks, and simplicity of Studycom makes me so happy. I love Studycom. Comprehension and learning this way is wayyyyyyyy better than any of my college courses.

I was unsure about spending the money on this without being sure I would like Studycom or that it would even help me better understand! I’m using Studycom to prepare for a final exam. The lessons in it break everything down I learned in class, and read in my book, and helps me better understand everything!! It is so worth it and I just wish I had found Studycom much sooner

I have used Studycom to help me with my teacher certification exams. And I find the content to be extremely helpful. The breakdown and quizzes and spot on to maintain information.

However, I find the visuals to be extremely stereotypical and racist. When discussing negative and abnormal behaviors, the characters are usually Black and male. When discussing normal and positive behaviors white characters are used. We are in a time where this cannot be accepted anymore. I also believe that there should be diversity of characters used throughout the courses.

I really enjoy using Studycom. One of the best features is that you can download videos to your phone and listen to them or watch them while you’re on the go. I will connect my phone to my car and listen to the video lessons while I am driving to and from work. Studycom connects to your online account so when you open Studycom and login, all of the courses that you selected online appear automatically. Great app.

The exams and study guides have a lot of information and can be very helpful. They have videos and reading for all different types of learners. The problem is,
A) it’s expensive
B) Studycom barely works

Most of the time during a quiz I have to click on answer submissions multiple times. The placement test is finicky, and often runs into errors and cannot save your results. This is fine on the computer because you can see the correct answers prior to the test and learn from that; from the phone app, however, this is problematic and results in a big waste of time.

If you know that you study different from others and need to use pictures, sound, and video this is an amazing study guide. All 23 chapters have modules throughout the chapters and quizzes after each module. It’s the audio, video and reads for me!!! This is a Life saver. The reads, video lessons, quizzes and exams are organized just right. They are short and keep you moving right along the chaptersz

I am a college kid that is always busy and on the go. Studycom makes it easy for me to study while I’m in the gym or car ride home. It is really proving to help me understand the knowledge I need. The software is also super easy to navigate through which nowadays is a problem for older adults. No matter you experience with technology you can excel in studying using Studycom.

I purchased this to study for my PE CSETs. However, I quickly discovered that there are many lessons I can incorporate to Google Classroom for my History, AVID and PE classes. This is especially great for distance learning! I wish it wasn’t so expensive, though. My principal agreed to purchase it for me until she found out the price. Once my CSETs are over, I will sadly discontinue my subscription.

Why do I need to open both my app and computer to assign my son his classes for the week. Each and every class assigned to him should be listed and put into the proper category, the program should also know what class is next and be easy to assign I spend hours going around and around on your dashboard to find the classes I assigned the classes he completed the classes he needs to complete the upcoming week it really should not be this challenging to assign classes This will be the #1 reason I leave your program

I love the program and what it offers students :)
But when I downloaded Studycom on my iPad Pro, there was a blue line (quite thick and very noticeable) across the screen which is making it impossible for me to use it.
Since the iPad is my main gadget, I’d really like to run it there. Is there a solution?

I pay $60 a month for this and it’s crap. Studycom won’t let me submit grades, I have to constantly update my password, the keys are very sticky, but the worst part is that I emailed them and heard nothing back. I called NINE TIMES, got a “real” person 3 of those times who transferred me to someone in technical support. That led to the instant VM to leave a message and they would get back to me. I left 3 messages and finally got an email back wanting more information on my issues... I explained again. I have not heard back. I am contacting my bank to dispute the charges. Too bad.. it’s a great concept.

First I was hesitant on paying for something I was not sure about but Studycom is very helpful when you need to understand something visually or quickly. I would give 10 thumbs up but I only have 2 :) Thank developers Studycom has been my helper on long and hard working but still studying days! Helped get my assignments in on time too!

The courses for test prep are fine. The lessons are short but give you what you need. For math, i prefer Kahn Academy because his lessons are simple, to the point, and don’t make me feel like a 5th grader...for free. HOWEVER, the free 30 day trial for Studycom/website is NOT free! I was immediately charged $59 the day i signed up. Based on other reviews, I’m afraid to ask for a refund right now for fear I will be locked out of the content. I do still have a test to study for. Wish i had read the reviews first. DONT ADVERTISE THAT SOMETHING IS FREE WHEN IT IS NOT!

Not all of the video lessons are visible in Studycom as compared to the website. For instance, under my 1st chapter in the Integrated social studies, only the first 6 lessons are viewable. There is no scroll bar to scroll down and reach the rest of the lessons on Studycom . I have to actually use the official internet website to access the other video lessons. Can you guys fix this? Contact me if you have questions about what I’m referring to. For $60 a month, this shouldnt be an issue.

I recently signup up for the 30 day free trial. Instead, I was charged $60 for a membership. When I emailed customer service to correct this, I was given some automated response about canceling my membership. Although I was given a refund, I am now locked out because I "canceled".
Do not advertise for one thing, if you're not going to do it.

They have the worst customer service. I’ve tried talking with people to get this straightened out, but have not received a single response from an actual person. The only thing I receive is a cancellation email.

i tried to get a free trail because i was looking up information for my homework in science right... well while i was watching a video, it paused and told me i had to get a free trail and so i trie fro get one but no it had to ask for my email, phone number, credit card info, etc. it’s scamming an if you think that asking for credit card information is gonna make anyone get this your wrong. also, i saw that having an account costs $40 a. month. that is the most ridiculous thing i’ve seen probably ever. this is probably worth not even $10 a month am pushing 4 times that is just flat out stupidity.

I have the most recent update and it has been crashing during my quizzes. It freezes then crashes. It’s messing up my scores!!!!

Other than that it’s pretty wonderful. My only tip would be that you could watch the video while scrolling through the notes. You can scroll through the notes when the video is paused. Would be nice if you could toggle between full and not full view to scroll through notes.

I used this to study for DSST exam prep and it is an excellent source to study. Loved the way the chapters are broken into lessons. It is a great and affordable source to study for the college credits.
Just one thing if it had explanation for wrong answer choices in the chapter exam it would have made it easier to understand the wrong choice.

I have been using this now to study for the AEPA exams for teaching. So far, the lessons are informative, but the quizzes could use some variation. If you are taking the quizzes more than a few times the answers become repetitious rather than learned. With that said, Studycom is very easy to use.
