Contact Sugarmate Diabetes Tracker Support

This was / is my go to app for checking my BG. All the data I need is right there. Sugarmate has been my faithful companion for the last 18 months or so. BUT a couple of months ago it started crashing, screen locking up ALL THE TIME. I log my insulin dosages in sugarmate rather than the dexcom app, but the operational issues with the app now make me consider switching to another platform. I really REALLY was hoping this situation would be resolved with the last update but I didn’t see any improvement even though the app was described with the somewhat meaningless action of “bug fixes”. It won’t be long and I’ll try something else, which I really don’t want to do but the app is now wasting too much of my time to keep going this way. My two star review is a combination of what the app is when it works properly - 5 stars, and what it is in its current state - 2 stars at best.

I was skeptical at first, having the Dexcom app already, thinking the two would be the same. However, after reading other embers of my FB groups having Sugarmate and liking it, I thought I would give it go. I can always delete it later... Not gonna happen! Totally love this app. I’m able to track everything I need to in one app. It’s able to connect to everything it needs to get as much info as possible. I am in love with the info tiles on the HOME screen. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star rating is because you do have to be slightly technologically intelligent to connect it a Watch or another device. It took me a little bit of time to get it to work, but now that I’ve got it set up, works great. And the readings showing up on my watch face are more consistent than the straight actual Dexcom app. Love it!

The app has really gone down hill. It has been crashing more and more. I finally got to the point where I uninstalled and reinstalled the app to resolve the issues but the app is back to hanging/crashing again after 24 hours. The app is totally useless at this point. I would recommend not updating if you haven’t already. I’m running 2.6.9 on iOS 12.4. Update: I narrowed the crashing and unresponsiveness down to the Apple Health connector. I have a *lot* of data in Apple Health that Sugarmate has to import. I reported the issue to the dev along with a stack dump from the app and the issue now seems to be resolved with the v2.6.11 release.
