Content great, service terrible
Love the shows and quantity but the performance of the app and even the website is terrible. The app feels cheap and not up to the standards of even basic apps these days. The app crashes constantly. Using with chromecast requires constantly disconnecting and reconnecting to watch the next episode. I also cannot chromecast downloaded episodes to avoid buffering or crashes. The app should easily be able to let you continue watching from where you left off. Not only does it not show you where you left off but it defaults to the most recent season. Why wouldn’t your watchlist and favorites be the first thing you see? Instead it is the networks shows they are pushing. I shouldn’t have to navigate through multiple menus every time I want to watch a show. The website also seems to almost slow to a halt during peak hours which means for all those $10 fee’s they aren’t using enough servers. The website also consistently crashes or has a network error despite my internet working fine. For this type of monthly fee the app and website should be flawless. I really expected much more for the premium price.
Good content, terrible execution!
I never review anything, but I’m tired of putting up with the issues. I have an iPhone 7plus with 11.2.6 update. First, why is the Sign In button so small and out of the way, but the Create an Account so large and centered? Once I sign up, I feel second class. For $10/month! Second, why is My Favorites hidden in the menus, and why does it always auto populate with shows I haven’t watched or favorited? It should be more prominent on the main screen and actually do its job of saving my couple favorites. Third, every time I try to read an episode description, the screen jumps down and I have to try and find the description again. Fourth, the screen NEVER rotates once I play. I use the physical volume buttons on TOP, because when i try to use the screen volume, the screen darkens out and I miss the part I’m trying to listen to. I have to hold my phone in the orientation I want it to play just to get the screen rotation I want. For $10 a month, I expect much better than this! The content is good, but the player is broken!
Love the idea of the app. Actually was pretty excited to use it. I’m doing the 7 day free trial and had thoughts of keeping it permanently, but the app freezes a lot on the iPhone. Also while using the chrome cast future. I have to close app down and reopen it just to watch next show.

This app like most has room for improvement but is an amazing advancement for hunters to be able to have a Netflix type app for hunting shows. Red Arrow is by far my favorite show! Thank you very much to the developers of this app! This is the first app I've ever had where the developer has responded to me more than once on my reviews. I had a issue when subscribing and the developer responded with a solution. I contacted customer service and received prompt and professional help. I asked about an Apple TV app and received a prompt response that it's coming. Well worth the subscription fee! Strong work guys, keep it up!
Love this app
I originally downloaded this app about a year ago in 2017 and it was still very new reguardless of how long ago it came out it had a ways to go I tried using it and it never worked..a year later I downloaded the app and tried once more and it evolved, the only bad thing was if you clicked out of the app to respond to a text or something of the sort it would make you re log back in. Now to this date November 12th 2018 they have corrected that issue and it is a dream watching tv series and tv shows right from my phone. Wish it was a little cheaper monthly but it’s still pretty nice.
Terrible - Kept faith for way too long
I was an early adopter of this app and their subscription. I’ve been holding onto hopes that it would get better for years now. It has improved, but slowly and not remotely up to date with what a user should experience in an any app. UI is clunky, glitchy, and sometimes things just plain don’t work. The exit “X” might not be there and you may be stuck in a show. You may download content the day of your flight, and then once in airplane mode, you’ll be unable to view it with an error message saying you haven’t logged in in 30 days so they need to verify via logging in. I travel constantly and would estimate that this happens 75% of the time. For a long time I thought it was my older phone causing the issues but after upgrading realized it’s simply a bad app that if it wasn’t for the incredible content I would’ve ditched it long ago. I’m sure the individuals behind it are great at their jobs and nothing against them, however I would strongly suggest re-allocating the phenomenal amount of money spent in marketing this service to developing an easily usable, reliable, and proper app that serves the customers you already have. I have cancelled my subscription, today.
Great concept. Buggy App
Love watching my fishing shows when it works. But the app is not smooth and today it’s asking me to re verify my membership - and it won’t play. Yet it still manages to very efficiently bill me. The content is great. The App and web site really need some polishing to work right. Very frustrated with it today. **Update 5/7 - I spoke with the rep at the company and they efficiently resolved my billing issue with iTunes and the web site. The app is working much better now. I need to learn how to use all of its features, in particular the favorites part. I wish it tracked what I’ve already watched much better. At this point I still think it’s not as slick as it could be but I love the content and I would give it a 4 star now that they did a good job of fixing my issue.
I have been wanting to get this app for about 9 months now but still haven’t pulled the trigger. I have read a bunch of the reviews and it doesn’t seem like the app experience has gotten much better. With all the issues they seem to be having, there is no way I am going to pay $10 a month. They might have $10 a month worth of content, but with everything I am hearing, it doesn’t seem worth it. If they took responsibility for their failures and didn’t put the burden on the customers then I would gladly sign up (ie: lowering the cost until they put out a quality product, or reimbursement to their customers). Either way, I am an eager future customer waiting for a quality product to support.
Needs a overhaul of the App
When I pay for an App, I expect more. I have a Login and Pay my $10 a month, but instead of offering a large Login button from the beginning it asks me to sign up, all a while remembering my Login info. Second, it doesn’t maintain my favorites, and I have to look for them in the menu every time, this should be located at or near the top. Finally, I downloaded shows to watch offline, but they won’t play(I get sound but the screen goes black and unresponsive, and end up having to close out the application.) They need to completely overhaul their application in a format that not only is easier for subscribers to use, but makes it worth subscribing to begin with.
Finally! The ability to watch downloaded videos on my iPad
Earlier - The app has been updated but there is still no ability to watch downloaded videos in the app. It works fine to watch content online but downloaded videos cannot be played. Today - the latest update finally fixed whatever was stopping me from watching downloaded videos on my iPad when offline! I enjoy this app a lot when I’m online. Now I can take episodes with me to watch on my iPad’s larger screen!
Great app, but could be improved
This app has a lot of good content and has worked fine for me. The only improvements would be that it needs the 10 sec fast forward / rewind buttons. It’s difficult to skip ahead or go back accurately with the current method. Also I wish the app would recall where you left off in an episode. If you close the app, you must find and reselect the program / episode and try to scroll back to the point that you stopped watching. Which brings us back to the first issue. Overall the app works pretty well.
Downloaded content never works
They are super slow to upload new content months after new episodes are on tv. I mainly got this to view offline content every download will not play. With no connection it just says label. Once I have a connection all the text that says label changes to the downloaded episode. Update - emailed support as they asked. No reply tried to download shows today. They download but as soon as my iPad is in airplane mode the icon changes from the show to just the word label again. Letting my subscription expire the whole point of having this app was to download and be able to watch them in airplane mode on flights.
Don’t waste your time
I signed up for the free trial thru iTunes, and I couldn’t not gain access to the content, it kept sending me to the sign up screen. When I contacted customer support, they just passed the buck, saying it’s iTunes platform problem, after reading other reviews, I feel this is their platform problem that’s been going on for years. At $10 a month you would think you would have better service, boy I was wrong. They wanted me to uninstall they reinstall, all this for a free trial, don’t get me wrong Pigman and Meateater are great shows, but not worth this headache. Guess I’ll stick to watching meateater on Netflix.
Cobalt Phoenix had a spot on review. The content is great but the app has never performed correctly. Now when I try to download a show it gets to completion and crashes and never downloads. That just one of the many issues with trying to watch videos, not to mention the numerous user friendly issues that should be addressed. I’ve been a paid subscriber for 2+ years. You’d think by now that the major bugs would have been worked out. I’m and IOS user with a 6+.
Great content, but the player...
Great content but the player doesn’t have a built in 10 or 15 sec rewind, so if you’re watching a How To and want to see something again it’s not as easy as other video apps to go back a small amount. That’s why I’m giving less than 5 stars. Should be an easy programming fix, so I’ll up it to 5 when that’s fixed.
