For an example a low battery notification will pop up and it will kick me out of the article i was reading. Also, when i’m scrolling the thing will jump the direction i’m scrolling and that’s really annoying. The most annoying part is when it kicks me out. I have to find the article all over again and it takes me forever.

Can you fix this? I can see people complaining about this too.

The news portion of Apple Stock app has completely DISCONNECTED from the News app - i.e. Stock app doesn't know what periodicals I am subscribed to, and any saved or viewed news articles in the Stock app are not reflected in the Stock app - i.e. there is no way to save (or see history of) business news articles that I read in the Stock app. Also, doesn’t sync with other devices.

There are plenty of stock quote apps. There are plenty of news apps. The value proposition of Apple News app and Apple Stock app was to have integrated consumption and viewing across all Apple devices. At one time, I looked forward to buying a new iPad or computer, but why be confronted with such a glaring omission, misfire, and headache on a daily basis?

I feel like the this app app is lacking so many easy modern features that it hasn’t really changed at all in years. Why is there only one watchlist to be able to track tickers? Stocks updates at random. Getting after hours data is buggy often and sometimes only shows for a few tickers. There’s no way to manual refresh as an option. Customizing the news sources would be a great. The list goes on…I just hope Apple will take steps to make Stocks better and not feel as stale as it have been for years.

I just started using the iOS and Mac OS this app app and I'm surprised by how polished it is. Everything syncs across devices (as you would expect) and clicking on a stock or fund gives you up to date news about that specific stock/fund .

Today's a good example where everything pretty much dropped (S&P 500, NASDAQ, VIGAX) but the Dow was up 71 points... in the this app app, clicking on the Dow brings up a bunch of news telling me exactly why

This is a helpful app though the news feature now just gets in the way if you don't subscribe to Apple News+ because otherwise it acts like a pop-up ad to sell more subscriptions whenever you open a news link.

The older version of Stocks allowed automatic landscape view of charts just by rotating the phone which is also missing in the current version.

Took me a while to realize this was a standalone app in Stocks Store vs included in the iOS releases. However, with the iOS 15.2 upgrade, it gained some features and broke some.

The business news / top stories section at the bottom disappears. You can get news on each symbol, but not overall market news which is what I would read first.

Also scrolling through a list is now a bit jump - I believe this happens when prices update. It loses position and leaves you in another part of your list instead of where you were when scrolling.

Otherwise, this has always been my go-to app for this app and related news. Please fix these bugs!

Basic app where one can customize a list of this app and view their evolution over several intervals of time. No charting tools. This is the decent part. The terrible part is the “news” attached to the main screen of Stocks . Every other story is an opinion written by a person with socialist /communist /anti-white views blaming all the evils of this planet on the white people. When Apple will include news in Stocks and not communist/ anti-white propaganda, will use it again. Until then …. deleted.

Really not happy with the stock app lately. Whenever I open Stocks anymore the latest finance articles from like the Wall Street Journal, Barrons and others used to come up and helped me understand what was effecting our economy. These no longer come up as an option. Only current market prices come up. Don’t understand why I don’t get this anymore? If these are no longer going to be on Stocks in my opinion it take you from a 41/2 star app to a 2 star app.

I’m also experiencing the inability to scroll current market news w/o hard reset or opening the first item on my list & swiping right, but now Stocks hasn’t updated market prices since 12/23. Please fix the bugs. Stocks really is a handy tracking tool & has always been a 5-star for me until very recently. Thank you!

I have iphone 12 and after the 15.2 update I’m experiencing all sorts of bugs including problems with scrolling, and then app crashing after a very short period of time. It is no longer stable. Please correct asap.

It’s fine, does it’s job.

It would be really nice to be able to create a portfolio in Stocks that mirrors my actual portfolio with Schwab. Being able to see that info quickly without having to open a slow banking app and verify with FaceID would be great, and would create an opportunity for some more nice first party this app widgets as well.

Very good app for getting your basic stock and bond information with graphs that are easy to adjust timeframe on. One irritating problem has started recently. When scrolling through the watchlist it frequently jumps ahead a number of positions. It needs to be fixed.

While scrolling through my list of this app, the place I am at often jumps to a different area. This is new behavior and it’s only been happening in the past few months. It’s very annoying and I feel is a bug. Therefore I am giving this a two star rating instead of a five star rating. If this gets fixed, I will change it to a five star rating.

While scrolling many a times it drops frames thus landing you way far position or back position. Even with slow scroll sometimes it lands you back a few pages/scroll. Other big missing feature is that it does not allow you to reorder the this app in the watchlist. This is very basic.
Rest all Stocks works fine. I would rate it higher if the two big critical issues are fixed.

Been using Stocks for ever and love it but since I downloaded the latest software version when I scroll through my this app it jumps around. Extremely annoying! Please fix it so I don’t have to find a new app.

It used to have all the stock news now since the latest IOS update the stock news disappears and have to shut down my phone or delete and restore the stock app but it will only stay on the screen for a little while then it’s gone again. Never had this happened in all the time I’ve been using it until now. Please fix it!!!

I use this app every day. however I have found that there is a serious graphing error that keeps me from trusting the values indicated in the graphing. one must ensure to touch the graphed history to get actuals since the values do not align with the values indicated on the graph axes. there is an obvious software error which is not assigning the axis values correctly.

Stocks used to be my go-to all the time until the last iOS download. All my saved & well organized ticker symbols got wiped out. I don’t even see news articles, either. Basically it’s unusable. I never had this happen before with any other software update, so why now? I also looked online and apparently many others are complaining about this problem. What’s the deal Apple?

Recent had updated Stocks ; somehow, Fond changed Smaller that not friendly for senior reader, for rolling down and up to read no more smoother and stable, it jump to other line.

I would like old vision better, if there is possible reverse back?

this app app super jumpy after updating iOS to 15.1. Like other recent reviews say, Stocks jumps ahead while scrolling for a few seconds. This bug makes it very hard to concentrate on stock prices, and I’m forced to backtrack and attempt to recall what I was analyzing and planning before the distraction. Please fix. App was silky smooth before the recent iOS update.

Remember back when Apple didn’t allow users to delete any apps from their iPhones and everyone had a Junk folder with this app and Compass and Voice Memos and Tips? Good times.

I’d like to be able to set alerts when this app go up or down a certain amount or hit a price target.

There are several Apple apps where I use a superior 3rd party application but this app is a great app. The people that delete Stocks typically don’t invest so how are they qualified to leave a review if they don’t follow the financial markets?

I think Stocks needs an update or a new patch. Every stock I buy ends up red and I never get to see the satisfying green color. Hopefully the next update can fix this issue or I may just switch investment apps.

With the advent of Apple News it makes no sense Stocks continue to be separate. It’s sources are customizable like News, and it doesn’t connect to any of my brokers (who’s apps I actually use). There’s nothing useful about Stocks, even the widget. The only good thing is the UI/design.

It would be awesome if we could add the quantity of owned shares per stock to see how our investments are performing. Or set price drop/jump alerts. Maybe the ability to tie in a price drop alert to our stock buying service app via Shortcuts.

If I could make separate/multiple watchlists it would be perfect. As it stands, I have to use Yahoo for that.

I am watching my particular this app. Then suddenly it skips to another stock for no apparent reason. It is frustrating when I’m viewing and then lose my place from where I was on the page.

If you’re not using Stocks you’re not serious about your financial future.

I would like the ability to compare performance of different this app over time in the same chart and see how much an investment would‘ve grown overtime with reinvested dividends, similar to how the charts on Morningstar work.

Having issues after upgrading to ios15

It’s a decent app for watching tickers but I wish it at least had candle sticks
