Issues:

Missing Information: Many of the stocks are missing Stock Dividends information , Stock Split information, Quarterly and Annually Financial Information. This are stocks known to have the information and I have seen it in the past on StockMaster . For some reason StockMaster is not displaying the information on a reliable way. StockMaster shows the information from time to time but for some reason it disappears. For example AT&T (T) today is not showing dividends or SEC Fillings but yesterday it was. How is that possible?


Brokerage Accounts: StockMaster description on StockMaster Store mentions compatibility wit TD Ameritrade and I don’t see it as an option on StockMaster .

Portfolio Reports: This report is missing all the useful information. 1. Current Positions: ( Symbol, Date Trade, Shares, Cost, Market Value, Average Price, Market Price, Commission, Gain, Gain % ) 2. Sold Positions: (Symbol, Date Trade, Shares, Cost, Market Value, Average Price, Market Price, Commission, Gain, Gain % ) 3. Total Dividends: ( Symbol, Date Dividend, Dividend Amount ) 4. Cash Transactions ( this sections has the necessary information already ) 5. Adding a total at the bottom of each section and each column.

No Apple Watch support.

I bought StockMaster’s regular version several months ago, and loved it. However, today i updated StockMaster as it recommended an update for bug fixes for IOS 11, after upgrading StockMaster crashed completely. I had to delete StockMaster , and download it again. As a result, i lost my entire portfolio. When i attempted to create my portfolio again, it asked my to upgrade it to the pro version.

This is extremely disappointing that now i am being asked to pay for the pro version just to restore the feature i had before, and to allow myself to have my portfolio back. I was looking for an email to contact the company directly, so I don’t have to write a negative review on the latest update and on StockMaster but could not find a contact either here or on the website. I hope they see it and find a way to resolve this issue. It’s not fair you have to pay for feature only to be asked to pay more because StockMaster crashed.

The ads on StockMaster destroy the whole experience. They take up the entire screen and completely mess up my iPhone for a few minutes. It causes everything to tilt sideways and not correct unless I mess with it for five minutes just to be able to close StockMaster . They put a lot of effort into creating a big headache for you if you don’t want to keep getting interrupted for ten minutes. I understand why they use ads but ads that do this to your phone aren’t acceptable by any means. It’s the worst ad experience of any app I’ve used in my life.

There are other things I can say about the user experience but the ads just make everything else irrelevant. I see in another review that someone who got the paid app is still getting the ads. I urge everyone to not reward the developers with money. Find a different app.

As a stocks holder these recent day I relied on real-time stock information due to price gouging I remember two weeks ago I was able to set up watchlist on StockMaster to get real time information on stocks I need now in order for me to add more stocks I have to pay a premium . Any other stock market app I go to has a free watchlist I see no reason why I should pay . That’s not my only problem StockMaster is also unorganized like everything is on one page and it’s hard to read the charts . And not only that StockMaster is bloated with full screen ads that won’t even close if you decide to . Now I understand that most developers and creators need to get paid somehow to support StockMaster . What I would recommend for them to do is lower there premium prices and make the whole app simple so that everyone can use it trust me StockMaster has potential I can see it but alittle more work needs to be done.

I have given up on StockMaster …the money and time I invested in it continues and the more I depend on it the more frustrating it is. I have gone several days depending on other resources (that consistently work without rebooting, clearing memory, etc) and feel much more relaxed. I have a 9 month old iPhone 12 Pro Max and no problems with any other app but this. The developer has shown me that 97% of the time or something StockMaster works, it feels like it works for me 3% of the time and crashes the other 97%. Now even the extreme steps like flushing memory or rebooting the phone don’t guarantee app stability. The developer seems like a stand up guy and I have appreciated his responses but the problem is far from being resolved.

If you are a hobbyist, primarily invest long term, or data isn’t crucial, give it a try because it will probably meet your needs. Otherwise you should be aware that aside from stability there is no afterhours data (except for last transaction) and without upgrading to real time data for $5 more a month more you really can’t depend on the information. Despite paying for lifetime, another $60 a year for data for an app that is unreliable is like using hope as a trading strategy! I am moving on and dumping this baggy.

Really wish I hadn’t been patient thinking StockMaster return policy was 90 days. Let my loss be your gain - there are plenty of other fish in the sea.

Still facing the dividend issue of no dividends appearing when clicking on a stock like aple or mmp but they show up for a stock like aapl. Before releasing the next version please test a variety of tickers that are known dividend payers otherwise this issue will never be resolved.

Please fix asap and just as an opinion the whole redesign of StockMaster seems to not have been vetted and/or tested before removing StockMaster version prior to the redesign which was working very well. This has been close to 2 months and the same issues with the new version are persisting. Please consider bringing back a stable version of StockMaster and only release new versions that have been fully tested and are known to work because a user should never have to question whether or not to download an app update because of lack of testing/instability issues especially without the ability to revert to the previous version.

I would have given StockMaster 5 stars, I have been using it for over a year and love the futures view, which would have been nice to learn how it works, but no info anywhere. Lately, I found my battery my starter to degrade very quickly. After looking at apps that use my phone specially at night when I have 90% and wake up with 20%, I found that StockMaster is running background activities. It was only StockMaster using 100% of battery. Another issue, they started to force ads every time you open StockMaster . The add will run for over a minute and no way to skip it. Like really? Every time I open StockMaster , you show me over a minute ad? I know you need to make money, but there is smarter ways to make money and show ads. Sadly, I deleted StockMaster due to these issues.

StockMaster has been pretty good thus far… For being mostly free it has quite a bit of features and signals to go off of, however, my biggest issue is that a lot of the alerts I’ve set up for securities during after hours seem to randomly go off….for no reason…

For example, say I have alerts set up for AAPL for $135 and I configure this price alert twice - one for regular trading hours and one for extended trading hours - the after hours alert will go off for no reason, and perpetually (if I have it on repeat), even when the security isn’t anywhere near the price alert. This has happened to me on numerous occasions over the past few months, and at random intervals. I’ll often have an alert queued for weeks before StockMaster decides to just set it off out of nowhere. That’s a little frustrating.

I’ve been using it almost two years as a Premium user ($$$) and it has been great but after yesterday’s update (7/31) now I am getting ads! I have restored my purchase several times and killed and relaunched StockMaster to no avail! I still get ads. Read on below as to why this 5-Star app is getting rated 4 stars.

NOTE: There is absolutely ZERO support and NOWHERE to go on the web to get ANY kind of tech support for ANY kind of problem. Hell, I don’t need any support. I just need to be able to send a message that they have a problem that needs to be fixed. You can’t even do that. There is no e-mail address if any kind to send anything. Complex apps like this should have stellar developers who regression-test their apps before releasing a new version. If you don’t have ANY way for a customer to contact you this is even more important!

It’s amazing to get this on our phones – so it’s not surprising it’s not perfect. The main bug seems to be in the real-time reporting of a single index, the DJIA. As measured against the live bug on CNBC, every once in a while (maybe once a month) it doesn’t track the Dow at all for up to 45 minutes total. That is: the Dow fluctuates say around +50 to 80, but StockMaster just stubbornly sits at say +55 or +80; the chart is also affected, tracing out a flat line (then amusingly, when the bug is resolved, “catching up” with a huge jump up or down to the correct price…). But again, I’m just quibbling: 99.8% of the time it works just great.

I just downloaded the updated version but the previous version was pretty good. The News doesn’t really seem to work all that well and that’s disappointing as that’s a pretty big factor in a stock price. There’s a lot of other good information just a tap away. The ability to look at stock options and crypto prices are a couple. Probably the best feature is using the charts, which show some earnings and analyst upgrades/downgrades. Update: Charts aren’t working in recent days. It just shows the same price for multiple days. FYI - StockMaster reads your text messages and listens. It will create notifications and news based on conversations.

I have used many stock/portfolio performance/tracking apps and this one, by far, is the best out there! There are many apps that do various things well & I used multiple apps at the same time in order to help me get all of the views I needed. That is no longer the case with StockMaster! As I used StockMaster more and more, I found myself discarding the alternative apps. StockMaster has met all of my needs.

Additionally, the support I have received has been stellar! My questions are always answered timely and thoroughly!

Let’s be realistic. There are plenty of stock market apps one could choose to select. You do not need to choose this one, certainly one has options. Yet this app, hands down offers the widest range of data and potential stock analysis at a baseline level any non-broker needs. Company financials, charts, news, and even a social media-esque community tab where tons of users share and discuss info related to the stock you’re looking at. Should you buy or not, price caps, growth opportunities. Let’s be realistic, it’s a mobile app. If you are looking for trendy stock articles and insights ... Yahoo is your friend. If you are looking to incorporate this with say an E-Trade account or Fidelity account plus your already premeditated research and strategy. If you want to quickly consider a full set of data in real time, on the fly, with ease. Then look no further than this app my friends.

StockMaster changed the way I trade completely! So much crucial information on here that’s unavailable on other charting platforms. StockMaster is gold! Thank you to the creators!!!! The only thing I wish is that on the 1 min time frames the MACD would appear right at market open instead of 30 min later. It would be so amazing if the creators could make it so we see pre-market data on the chart live! Also create more filters on the stock screener such as sma cross overs and unusual volume (5-10x) screener. Other than that keep up the great work!

I’m an amateur investor, and I love StockMaster. It’s my go-to source of stock information, and it has everything I need and more. As I use it, I find new features and new info that I did not even realize were included. It’s quick and easy to look up a stock and get the whole picture. There’s a concise summary of each company, so you know exactly what industry category it falls into, and what products and/or services it offers. I don’t like the ads, but there is only one that is quickly disposed of, and it seems a small price to pay for an excellent app.

I’ve been using this for a mere month now.

I do not use it for anything besides tracking the stocks I own through my broker.

It is extremely fast, and has real time data. It lets you customize your commission when you buy/sell stock. I like to put my commission in up front so that I can see the true value of my portfolio. I have been an incredibly active user of this with the stock market going up and down. Once you get using it it becomes very familiar. If your ok with closing out of an add every once in a while when you open up StockMaster , this is the perfect one for you to track your position on your portfolios individual stocks.

I believe this is my 5th year with this app. StockMaster has so many features and applications. In order of most used, Charts, Summary, Financials, Discussion.
I can’t say enough about the features available in chart settings. My preferences are the line/OHLC, Period/5 on the 2yr and 5yr weekly; and and period/1 on the 3M, 6M an 1yr daily charts. With a variety of moving averages. The MACD visual representation is the best I’ve found.
I am a long time student of O’Neil teachings of chart patterns and bases. The clarity and accuracy of the charts helps me recognize these patterns. Over time I have tweaked setting, background shades and colors of price and volume to those I am most acclimated with. It is for sure my go to app. Thanks to its developers.

Was the best stock app out there, and I've used many. The tools it offers are great, but they recently added incredibly obnoxious full screen ads that load whenever you first open the program. These aren't normal full screen ads either, which are bad enough. These are the worst ads I've ever seen in an app. Basically as intrusive and pushy as the ads on porn sites. Most won't let you click out without a fight and many load poorly and freeze up your phone. Within a week I went from an addict compulsively opening StockMaster every chance I got to not using it at all. Just another great creation ruined by some b school genius trying to maximize profit without any consideration of product quality.

So, I’m fairly new to trading and investing. I do most of my investments thru Fidelity (for long term and day trades) and Robinhood (for Options trading)... but both are limited in stock news, info and alert set ups. So I mainly use StockMaster for news alerts on my stocks as well as setting up/down alerts on my stock prices. Since I still go to work during trading hours, I can’t depend on large system platforms like TD’s Think or Swim because I can’t install it on my work computer. StockMaster is a perfect stop-gap for those issues since it allows me to see what my investments are doing in real time with great charts, metrics and alerts - all on my phone! The big guys could learn a thing or two from this app. 👍

I know StockMaster does a billion things I don’t understand, but the one thing it does and does well, is give me real time customizable price alerts ...for EXTENDED HOURS! No more staring at my screen from 4AM-9:30AM and then again from 4:00PM until 8:00 PM, afraid I’ll miss an opportunity to sell the news. This is the most game-changing app out of the 5 dozen on my phone. It’s literally the most valuable app, that has saved me thousands of dollars. Just this week, I sold SGLB at $7.30 pre-market. It never traded near there during regular hours. I made so much money because of that alert. This is the best app that has ever existed. I didn’t even remember what I paid—it doesn’t matter. If you trade stock, you need StockMaster in your life!

The nicest thing about StockMaster was that it could import your portfolio from your financial institution and sync up so you can see your portfolio value changing in real-time plus you could analyze your portfolio in 20 different ways.

With the latest update they’ve now remove the integration and portfolio management so it’s fairly useless to me know. Earlier I used to open StockMaster 10 times a day. Now maybe a few times a week since that was my biggest use.

It’s sad when features are removed. I don’t know why but bring it back and this will me star stocks app again. Otherwise one can use any number of other apps available.

I have StockMaster on multiple devices including 2 iPads, iPhone and I occasionally use the browser website. They are synced through the cloud so it makes using it across platforms simple and easy, however, it seems to cause issues as well. When tracking my portfolio my ipads show different gains for individual stock even though all parameters are the same. Even after recovering from a backup created on an iPad the iPhone seems to resort back to an incorrect daily and unrealized gain for an individual stock which causes the portfolio to be off by several hundred. I've tried contacting support via website with no success hopefully a review gets their attention!

The biggest issue with StockMaster is maneuvering up and down the side bar to select a stock, if you're in the vicinity of an Ad, it launches even though you didn't click on it. The other issues are full screen Ads on start up, that repeat and are difficult to click off, and news feeds for stock selected that are mostly garbage solicitations, and a real waste of time.

Still is one of the better Apps out there to view your portfolio in, only wish they would handle the Ad situation better, by doing like most free Apps do, run them in the lower window only (which where they currently are).

Upfront: I’m not a day trader or short seller. This is a great tool for regular investors like me who want a single mobile source of information to quickly get the latest prices, metrics, news, charts (great!) and trends. I can watch prices in real time and access news to see why a certain stock might be popping or tanking (as others have mentioned, evaluate sources - Seeking Alpha, watch out!). Detailed data about expense ratios, etc. help me evaluate investments and set goals. It has also frequently helped me notice buy and sell opportunities on the fly that I can then execute through my brokerage accounts.

this app is probably the most robust financial application I've seen in App Store! While it can be a little buggy, it is still on my short list and I would recommend the upgrade to the premium app. In the latest upgrade I noticed the charts have additional functionality. Love it! There are some bugs with the candlestick colors predominantly showing red. Also, the expiration dates for the options chains are incorrect, the dates are Thursday expirations when they should be Friday and I miss the EV EV/EBIT financial ratios. All in all still one of my go to applications mobile or otherwise!

It is a wonderful app. Far beyond my need to check a few mutual funds. However, presently (after a recent update?) when opening, it shows the Home screen and then immediately closes. So, for now, it is useless. I hope you look at it and fix it soon.

Soon after writing this, StockMaster is back and performing as usual. It may have been an issue with the ad that precedes the Home screen.

I'm using the free version for now along with Robinhood, yahoo finance and StockTwits to keep costs at $0 while I grow my accounts. Free version has everything you need to get it done. News, Summary, Alerts, Scanners, different studies, discussion board, notes and more!!! I plan on purchasing premium version down the line for additional chart settings. I have been using it for a year daily and only issue I have in countered is discussion board has failed to load twice. Get it, use it, you won't regret it! Good luck to ya!

Great app!! Pretty much works how you want it to. Connects to several major broker accounts. Customizeable watchlists. Easy links to news that is related to each specific stock (probably the most useful feature). Easy links to balance sheets and financials for each stock (if available).

I wish (maybe there is and I havent found it yet) there was a way to plug in what stocks I have and what price i got them at.

Has a virtual portfolio so you can play the stock market game.

I have not seen this app for $29.99/year. Where can I find that? What I saw said $199/year.

Canadian stock prices froze at approx 1:33pm on Wed April 19th.

I have been a premium member for a year and very happy with the app. Today I turned Stock Master on and the app looks like it changed setting and lost most of my stock positions. I tried reinstalling but didn’t help. From the looks of previous comments, it looks like this app is unrepairable and no support.

This is second time it had crashed and nothing shows up when I click on the app????

I am having problems with the chart settings with some stocks. Resetting all settings doesn’t fix it. The charts only show a few bars over the screen even if I change the interval. Please help
