Using this app to communicate with my health providers’ teams is a challenge!

Despite having used it on both PC and cell phone platforms, many of my providers at Northshore don’t receive my messages despite them showing up in my ‘sent’ folder. Have communicated with a number of Northshore’s so-called IT Help Desk teams, the issues persist forcing me to call and wait endlessly to speak to my health care team.

Very irresponsible for a major health care organization to have such shoddy community technology in 2021!

I guess I’m somewhat old fashioned, but I would still like to talk to the doctor when test results indicate that there are new significant health concerns, instead of receiving cryptic messages through NorthShoreConnect containing misspelled words, medical terms that require Googling and warnings like “URGENT- see the first available cardiologist!” Imagine getting that message and having all weekend to sit around and ponder it because the phone lines are closed until Monday!
A simple 5 minute phone call saying “here’s what we have learned and here’s what we need to do next” should still be the norm when circumstances merit it. Maybe once they figure out how to bill for it, the personal touch will make a comeback.

When a medical app/records site can’t support a person changing their name, it’s a problem.

People change their names for marriage, divorce, and identity alterations. The majority of WOMEN will do this at least once, many more than once in their lives.

This system assigns user names as first and middle initial with last name - and then no changes allowed. My reward for being a loyal NorthShore user from the beginning, is that 11 years after a divorce (and six years after a new marriage) my log in is still my ex husbands last name. I can’t update the user name to MY LEGAL NAME. My doctors get messages from me, or send me reminders, and the user name isn’t even my name... that’s confusing for everyone, and just stupid all around.

Do better NorthShore. Fix this.

When scheduling appointments through NorthShoreConnect , a drop down calendar would be better than a daily scroll. Having to go through six months to get to the date I wanted is not patient friendly.

Also, the screen asking for the appointment type-established patient yearly exam had redundancy when you have to fill in a box stating what the appointment is for.

What I was really looking for was consolidating all my health & medical data in one place. Though NorthShoreConnect claims it can, it doesn’t. Besides, lab results and vitals are only presented in a report format. I’d prefer a graph to follow a single detail’s peaks & valleys accompanied by an overall overview report that includes advice on how to best improve myself & what to avoid.
I was hoping NorthShoreConnect would sync all vitals & labs to Apple’s Health app. That would’ve been the best. It doesn’t, & even though my doctor claims the’ll eventually get around to that, I personally doubt it. I don’t believe I’ll be hanging on to NorthShoreConnect much longer.

I used to think that NorthShore Connect was great. However, ever since it updated in the fall of 2021, I can almost never send messages, frequently cannot access my after visit summaries, and have found multiple other glitches. I need to use NorthShoreConnect to communicate with my medical providers, but it is not very good for that anymore. Please fix the bugs!

NorthShoreConnect has improved, but my biggest issue is that I need to be connected to WiFi to log into NorthShoreConnect , if I’m just in my cellular network, the log in spinner just keeps spinning. As soon as I’m on WiFi, I can get it. I feel that my personal cellular network would be more secure than a shared network.

Otherwise, most of the features I use are in NorthShoreConnect now.

It would be best when getting results that it be in more explained on reasoning. Also when scheduling Lab work it would be nice to know more detail around the type of test and why some testing needs to be at the hospital and not at the labs located nearest to the patients

For everyone unable to log-in, you have to be on wifi (if seems). I thought it was a bad app, or an update. As soon as I tried it with wifi it worked and I logged on!

I think NorthShoreConnect is pretty easy to use but it’s missing some features. One that’s been bothering me is that I can see my inbox to read my doctors messages but can’t see my Sent box to see what I emailed them. Is this something that can be added? Thanks!

NorthShoreConnect is pretty easy to navigate and very functional. I use it for the whole family and manage all the data.

My only contention with it is that you can’t clear items from the to-do list. Kids see a pediatrician that doesn’t use NorthShore Connect, so every time I login there are a ton of bright red notifications I cannot clear. There needs to be a way to snooze and/or clear them.

Northshore connect has been the best medical app that I have used. Thanks for being progressive and allowing strong communications to happen for both parties. Hope we can email information to each other in the near future.

I love using NS connect! This is a much faster way to communicate with your doctor for non emergency questions. All your health records are at your finger tips. Easy access to test results, Covid-19 info, billing, medications plus more. Check it out, it’s really easy to navigate.

I love that I can schedule my doctor visits, message my doctors, view my test results, pay my bills and also act as proxy for my Mom. I never talk to anyone anymore just use NorthShoreConnect or my PC!

It’s a great way to communicate with your medical team. Most doctors, or their nurses, respond the same day. I have had to wait several days for one doctor, but that’s unusual. It’s way easier than trying to get through to the phone call center.

Signed in yesterday after a few years and very easily was able to reset my password to gain access. I emailed my doctor last night about few questions and got a call from the nurse today at 8:30am with answers. So simple and effortless. I also made an appointment with my doctors, which was also easy. Love NorthShoreConnect.

I absolutely love NS Connect. I can email my doctors and my primary gets back to me with in usually an hour, other doctors see 24 hrs. I love I can make my own appts., reschedule or cancel without waiting on hold to do this.

NSC system has given me a platform for better management of my health issues. Access to information regarding appointments, medications, examinations has assisted me in maintaining better health for me. Thank you!

Dr Patel has been absolutely excellent doctor credit has been an awesome Doctor Who is definitely taking care of me to the Atmos and Dr and Carrey first and Nurse practioner Sandra heal they all have taken care of me quite well and I feel very comfortable being in the hands of my staff they are an excellent team I’ve had excellent service and I can’t say anything more but they just been completely wonderful for me thank you

Everything from billing to electronic copies of paperwork, results, follow ups, “homework”... It takes the guesswork out of everything. To be fair, I give credit to the doctors, too, who see results from a separate visit at a different location and follow up with a note acknowledging they’ve seen it and providing more insight or assigning additional tasks/appointments within NorthShoreConnect . It relieves a lot of stress and minimizes personal legwork and time chasing information down.

I did not appreciate being woken up by the North Shore Health app at 4:30 in the morning to receive a notification that my billing statement was available!!! #FAIL #ANNOYING

If you download NorthShoreConnect, be sure to turn off sounds notifications or else they will send nonurgent messages in the middle of the night.

NorthShoreConnect was great for a few weeks but I’m finding the last few weeks it just doesn’t load. I don’t know why it doesn’t connect to any servers but I can’t even log in. I enjoyed having the capability to send direct messages to my doctors, set up appointments etc. as opposed to constantly being on hold but this just doesn’t work anymore so I have no reason to keep NorthShoreConnect.

This new version is a nightmare. You need magnifying glasses to even be able to see or read what is presented.
It took me over 40 minutes to “sign in” with the misleading options to start looking at your personal account. I cannot believe how horrible this is. The last system was PERFECT. Always responded in comprehensive way and ALWAYS easy to interpret your medical tests and reports.

PLEASE GO BACK TO OLDER APP VERSION.

It’s a bit buggy and slow to get your results. Often need to reload the same page a few times until you see your info.

But the BIGGEST flaw is that they do not allow export into Apple Health app. This should be standard in health info systems and allows one to track your own data forever. Please bring this feature and export into Apple Health like many of the other modern providers have already done.

NorthShoreConnect allows the user to pick a calendar type when you save an appointment to the iPad Calendar. It allows you to switch from the default google calendar to a different one. But as soon as tapping the option, NorthShoreConnect crashes.

Only works when connected to WiFi. Doesn’t work over network connection.
