Maybe I am sensitive because of all my hours programming, but what a mess this software is. They sent me an email about logging into my account that was incorrect in several ways. The email even says what to do if you don't have email, LOL. The site requires filling in those disastrous captchas, and then gives an error saying it didn't work at the end. That I should call them. But, they only work the phone line during business hours. So what good is the website? It is hard for me to believe that it is so hard to make a registration work nowadays.
Cannot make an appointment for covid vaccine. Can’t tell if they have me registered.
I have attempted to sign into NorthShore connect a number of times and have even called the help line and spoke to someone there ... Not much help. Nothing seems to work...There always seems to be a problem with the User name or Password which i have corrected a number of times. FYI, i am 93, and my wife is 92. Both of us are under medical care for cardiac Atrial Fibrillation ... I assume we will just have to wait until something happens!! ( BY THE WAY, MY HOME PHONE NUMBER IS 224-261-8196 )

I guess I’m somewhat old fashioned, but I would still like to talk to the doctor when test results indicate that there are new significant health concerns, instead of receiving cryptic messages through the app containing misspelled words, medical terms that require Googling and warnings like “URGENT- see the first available cardiologist!” Imagine getting that message and having all weekend to sit around and ponder it because the phone lines are closed until Monday!
A simple 5 minute phone call saying “here’s what we have learned and here’s what we need to do next” should still be the norm when circumstances merit it. Maybe once they figure out how to bill for it, the personal touch will make a comeback.

Using NorthShoreConnect to communicate with my health providers’ teams is a challenge!
Despite having used it on both PC and cell phone platforms, many of my providers at Northshore don’t receive my messages despite them showing up in my ‘sent’ folder. Have communicated with a number of Northshore’s so-called IT Help Desk teams, the issues persist forcing me to call and wait endlessly to speak to my health care team.
Very irresponsible for a major health care organization to have such shoddy community technology in 2021!

When a medical app/records site can’t support a person changing their name, it’s a problem.
People change their names for marriage, divorce, and identity alterations. The majority of WOMEN will do this at least once, many more than once in their lives.
This system assigns user names as first and middle initial with last name - and then no changes allowed. My reward for being a loyal NorthShore user from the beginning, is that 11 years after a divorce (and six years after a new marriage) my log in is still my ex husbands last name. I can’t update the user name to MY LEGAL NAME. My doctors get messages from me, or send me reminders, and the user name isn’t even my name... that’s confusing for everyone, and just stupid all around.
Do better NorthShore. Fix this.
