App still needs some work.

WeBack itself presents itself nicely. The issue is the not so great experience in general. Here are issues I found:

- Setting up a new device was horrible and not seamless. I had to restart the new device process 10+ times because it kept getting stuck on “registering to cloud services”. It eventually went through after white listing and turning off all security features on my router. I have never had to do that for a device. After it synced, I turned everything back on with no issues connecting.

- App would hang on certain menus in the new device process. It would only show a white pop up and no error or indication of something wrong.

- The map feature is nice but could use some quality of life features. Such as being able to erase parts of the map for remapping.

- some of the menu text and interface is overlapping on the side menu.

- WeBack hangs when backing out to the main dashboard, or even selecting the device you added. I have a fast wireless router and speed so its not an internet connection issue.

That is pretty much all i have for now. I hope these issues can be resolved as i love the device but WeBack control is not a great experience.

Same as everyone else

The vacuum itself is great, so let’s just put that out there first.

The issue is the software and app.

1st I had trouble setting it up like many others. Once it finally connected it wanted to update the software as it was clearly very out of date. It would be nice if it did this automatically along with the initial setup…issue is I’ve tried over 10x and it will never successfully update so I’m using the ordinal software 3.something when it’s now on 6.something…

2nd, WeBack is laggy at best. I don’t have any other apps that lag like this one and hang on for every function and screen. It’s not a huge deal but shows a lack of development

3rd, WeBack features most notably the mapping is really just for show and doesn’t teach the device. It creates a new map every run and makes the same and new mistakes every time it runs.

Many other robot vacuums in the price range offer more advanced features and I would be very happy to see these become part of this one…that being said, it might be pointless since I can’t get the vacuum to update its software anyway and having an updated app that can’t control new software features would be just my luck 😅

Little better

Before the last update, the map function was basically useless. Had to clear the map every other use which was a hassle because I have 1 room I don’t want the vacuum to go into. The recent update is better and the map seems more stable but it just randomly reset on me. You’re moving in the right direction, developers, but still have a ways to go

A complete joke

Not only is WeBack a complete joke the whole tesvor robot vacuum system has got to be questioned. While the vacuum itself works fantastic, keeping it on WeBack or even getting WeBack to recognize it is nearly impossible. I went through the process 10 times without success. I opened my app the next time and there was my vacuum. After setting up schedules, identifying personal information and then closing WeBack , when opening WeBack again the vacuum was no longer listed and I went through the process another 10 times without success. Don't waste your time. The only way to control the Tesvor robot vacuum is with the provided remote. Finally, the chat icon for support doesn't work. And if the developer is going to suggest I delete WeBack and reinstall, that doesn't work either.

Worthless

WeBack is pathetic and essentially garbage. It claims to link to Alexa/Google, but only has one command - turn on/off. Shark had multiple including a locate command. The process to link the robot to wireless/internet was near impossible and tedious, spent at least a 1/2 hour maneuvering my phone/modem/robot vacuum to the right spacing so it would connect to the “ROBOT-XXX” network. The badges/alerts don’t work so you have no clue when it gets stuck. Everytime it does get stuck and is restarted it starts the map over again so who knows of it does remember where it’s been. I guess the Chinese only know how to steal/hack into computer programs, they certainly have no clue how to write them. Will probably return this vacuum and go back to The Shark.

Easy set up, neat map, but wish map would persist

It’s not the most polished app I’ve ever seen but it is really cool that you can see the real time position of the vacuum and the area it has covered. I only wish that the map it generated would be shown all the way up until the next time the vacuum would run. This way, I could check to see what area was covered each day anytime I happen to remember to look instead of needing to remember what time it should be finishing up and having only a small window of time to catch it before it is erased.

Need to develope

Device are excellent, but software has some requirements. actually, one of the most important thing Customers wanted .. easy, practice, should be push only button for room.. not all of house. so, With a new updates, you can add a new features.. ,
1.step, choose the room on the map,
2.step start to clean the room..
One more thing, I advice save and record of the virtual zone. feature re configure of map rotation (horizontal or vertical)

Now my vacuum is rouge

I’m fed up with this being server based only, instead of allowing the phone to store map data. 4 times in the last 6 days, my vacuum starts at 4:06am. I’m sick and tired of this so I’ve switched it off so if it tries to leave dock it will turn off. Half the time my vacuum doesn’t even leave the room despite the door being open. They need to make the data local, or get their crap together and do proper server maintenance. They never answer support requests. Terrible terrible company. I need to find something else that can work with my vacuum.

Buggy, doesn’t refresh properly

While the hardware (the vacuum robot) has its problems, I am only focusing here on WeBack .
- my scheduled times often disappear
- it shows the robot offline, I have to remove the device then re-add it to make it work
- the status of the robot is completely out of wack, it I’ll show charging when my device is cleaning the house, or cleaning while the device is charging. Also why isn’t the battery meter more accurate?
- when will it add a map of the areas it vacuum so you can have a real-time update on what’s been vacuumed ?

Could be much better

I wish there was a way to change what percentage to make the vacuum go back to charger. Currently it goes back at 20% but uses less than 1% to get there. Wish I could change to 5% battery. Also I wish there was a way to rotate the restricted drawing. Or freehand draw or something. Feel free to contact me about these ideas. I can totally help out. As a designer and engineer I know some things

Latest update ruined the app

I’m constantly being kicked out and it refuses to accept my original account. Original account also would delete my vacuum from the list And I would have to connect it again. To the point where I couldn’t login with my credentials. Had to create a new one and connect the robot vacuum. Now the robot vacuum has disappeared from my account again. Can’t even control it anymore. It’s acting really erratic. What’s up!

Stopped working

App has suddenly stopped connecting to the vacuum. Says “Updating” but that’s been going on for several hours now. WeBack when it works is just okay. The other reviewers have expressed the deficiencies of WeBack. No need to do it again. I have not been able to get it to link with Alexa but that’s not very important to me. App should work better than it does. I am beginning to be weary of apps that ask you to sign up for only marginal utility.

App doesn’t save map

I wouldn’t mind all the other flaws if it would just remember the map - after a few hours vacuuming, if it gets stuck or momentarily restarts, the entire map of where the vacuum has been is wiped out, so it starts all over doing the same spots in your house, meanwhile ignoring parts it hasn’t done yet.

Pretty good at what it does

I like that you can set custom schedules and zone control. But if I can make one suggestion, please allow the user to orient the map to more easily set zones. Right now WeBack shows my house diagonally which makes setting areas awkward.

Just wrote a review

So I complained because WeBack didn’t work well. And to be fair it doesn’t really. But if you can’t control your robot disconnect it and reconnect it. It probably needs an update and for some reason you can’t give it an update unless you do that. Now it works fine.

Bad software updates

The latest update broke the start button (doesn’t actually start), adding or removing zones (reverts to old zone after I click finish) and regressed object detection (it errored out on hitting the side of the couch). These are all features that worked previously. Please rollback to a previous working build.

Alerts not working

I have all notifications turned on, but do not receive any. I have to manually check WeBack to see, for example, the vacuum is stuck, which defeats the whole purpose of being alerted when there is an issue. I know I need WeBack to install updates, but if it weren’t for that I’d just use the remote control.

Don’t bother

The robot vacuum is just ok but WeBack is useless. You’re going to spend more time trying to get it to work than you would have done if you did the vacuuming yourself, and then once you get it to work it’ll lose connection and you have to start from the beginning to get it connected again. And the vicious circle starts over. DON’T USE WeBack .

Works perfectly fine

Actually I don't know why WeBack got 2.5 as of mid May19?! This is a good app for their vacuum robot cleaner and it does the job pretty easily without any kinds of problems! Very straightforward

Cannot scan QR code

What’s going on! If your going to have an App then it must work. Collect our data and move on. Get your app to work or remove it.

Easy set up

This works 100% easy set up and update of the firmware on my robo vac. Follow instructions and not a single problem. Setup with Alexa was simple and straightforward.

Not an option

If your product has a smart wifi feature with WeBack consider it obsolete. It won’t connect to the wifi and it’s not a user error. The system is severely underdeveloped. My product works without WeBack but it would have been nice to get another product with a remote vs WeBack (dis)functioning one.

Possible Data stealing

I purchased a HEPA filter unit controlled by WeBack but after being required to enable location services and enter my personal wifi network password directly into WeBack I’m fully convinced the products designed to work with WeBack are just a front for WeBack to steal data. Use at your own risk!

If I could give 0 or negative stars i would. 9 out of 10 times this won’t connect to the robot you’ve added or it will display some error message. Then if it does decide to connect, there is a massive delay (like 1-2 minutes) before the vacuum robot will respond. Better off buying a roomba

Stopped Working

After about a month of use, WeBack stopped working. I just get an error message saying network unavailable. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling and still get the same error message. So now I have a robot vacuum that I can’t control the cleaning mode at all with. What a waste of $!!!!

Connectivity issues

Unable to connect to my WiFi thru WeBack because my WiFi password contains a character not present on their given keyboard 🙄 would have been nice to know before expecting app control for the product I purchased

The app can not access my Wi-Fi anymore.

After the first time using WeBack can not access my network anymore always shows the network is unreachable . But the first time was OK… so now i can only use the Remote controller to control the robot. And there is noway to fix the network connection…

Unable to register an account

WeBack is buggy. I can’t even create an account. I tap register and put in my email or phone number and it tells me to “input correct email/phone number” no matter what I type in.

I’m trying to create an account, but the graphical verification code is not working and I don’t even know how to get the code because it’s just a bunch of letters and sometimes it takes three letters. Sometimes time is it takes four letters. I’m not happy with this app.

Hi, i bought Mamibot exvac880 and this produci is full of bug. Map are erasing or faill scans map. WeBack app is very bad can't save map, sync is very bad. Map non stop scanning and making scanning map over scaned map. I miss saving maps in app. I have new We Back app. Thank You. Best regards, Dominik
