Been using NetHomePlus daily for about a year now. The GUI is clunky and has several buttons that don’t even work on my Danby window AC. That’s not the worst thing though. I have this linked to Alexa to turn my AC on and off. I’d guess about 60-70% of the time, she comes back with “sorry, AC is not responding” and I have to ask several times to get it to work. This may not be NetHomePlus ’s fault though.
However, another huge annoyance is that I’ll open NetHomePlus regularly and receive “account verification failed” and have to log in again. This happens about once a week and is incredibly annoying.
If they even left the GUI alone and clunky but it at least worked consistently, I’d have a much better opinion of it, but as it is, it’s not dependable enough to ever trust.

When purchasing my Bosch mini-split I assumed that it would have a reliable HomeKit enabled solution. Sadly, it came with this hardware and application. I’ve struggled with this application for over a year and while they’ve given it face lift, not much else has changed. Painfully slow to login and connect, many times not connecting at all. It cannot control all modes that are available and there’s no Siri or HomeKit support. I expected so much more from Bosch, especially for the price that I paid to upgrade to have these features.

I have my kitchen AC scheduled to turn off at 10:30pm EST but at least half the time it does not. I’ve been using NetHomePlus for a year and it has been this way the whole time. Could you please fix the issues with schedules. Seems I’m not the only one who has this same problem. This issue still persists. It’s 10:36pm EST and the AC did not turn off. Please fix! Still waiting for this to be fixed!
by Rey.Martinez
I really wish that Tech Support would fix the issue with an update for NetHomePlus because it will not shut off on its own. I have a daily schedule comes on at the same time every day and it’s supposed to shut off at the same time according to the schedule. But I have to manually shut the unit off it will not follow the schedule. Please fix. Is there anyway to contact Tech Support?
by SebasFZ
Devices keep going offline every couple of months. To fix the issue, you need to add the devices again, really annoying. Not sure if the issue is the hardware (ac unit) or software (app).
With the most recent app, the re-installation process never finishes it gets stuck at 99%. I figured out you need wait like 10 min and then close NetHomePlus . Once NetHomePlus is restarted the device is online again. In previous version this didn’t happen.

App is junk. Absolutely no memory of schedules. Ive tried deleting all schedules, deleting unit from app and reinstalling, even deleting NetHomePlus but it keeps converting back to who knows what schedule? Its 40* out and I definitely dont need my heat pump on a/c! But each time i try to add new schedules, or not even not run any schedules at all it keeps going back to cool. The only thing that works is to delete NetHomePlus and to not even use NetHomePlus at all! If you’re buying a mini-split for its smart app capabilities, this is not it! Look elsewhere. At this point NetHomePlus is useless!

I’m surprised how Apple allow an app to be in the AppStore with zero support channels, you can’t reach the developers, they don’t give you any mean or way to reach them. Nothing
I added my splits AC to NetHomePlus and added a schedule to it. It was working as intended but one day the schedule disappeared from NetHomePlus .
Now the AC turns on and off based on that schedule and I can’t modify or even delete the schedule.
I removed my account completely from NetHomePlus and the schedule still run. And I can’t reach out to anyone to help me in my issue
I’m really frustrated how this company gives zero Fs about support
by Irritated-2021
Scheduling is buggy. Some times it works but some times, it remains on (wasting energy). Sometimes, it comes on with proper setting (temp and fan speed), sometimes it comes on at wrong temp and full fan speed. This is highly irritating since this type of issues are unheard of with traditional programmable heating/AC units.
And as many have already called out forever-LED on is super annoying as well.
by Dmlherc
Why can’t I create groups? Why can’t I turn off the LED from app? Why is does it require internet? Simple basic stuff is just not available. I shouldn’t need to hit the internet to interact with my LOCAL hardware. I should be able to turn then all off and on in groups and change modes and degrees. And it’s obnoxious I can’t turn off LED from app because every time you turn a unit on the LED defaults to on. I’m writing my own at this point and deploying it in my k8s pi cluster.

When you are logged in and use the iPhone app to control the heater, it works fine. I do wish it had control over the light on the unit. However, you have to log back into NetHomePlus almost every time it is launched. And even though I created a schedule to turn on the unit at 7:30 AM every morning, it does not turn on.
by MuMrj
Ive been using NetHomePlus for a while now and i feel that they need to use HomeKit or the new standard “matter” to make using the ac easier of the end user and make the developers focus on other things.
by Holdinggrudg
App support is not working or at least I can’t read the Japanese writing. Everything has been working great until the last update on firmware. Schedule disappeared but still runs in background and comes back for 1 minute after refreshing device then disappears again. Other than that, great app. Thank you

We still need the led light to turn on/off function in NetHomePlus , just like on the remote.
The schedule settings still buggy. Some days it works some days it doesn’t. For example if I schedule it to turn on at 1pm on the weekdays it only works on some days not all of them.

Better than nothing, as I can remotely control the AC. The geofencing thing is kind of cool, except that it is CONSTANTLY using the GPS unless you force quit NetHomePlus , and I don’t trust that they are doing that responsibly or ethically or efficiently, since other things I use geofencing with don’t do that.
It’s crazy that it isn’t HomeKit compatible. Why have a separate app that tries to copy the Home app interface? Just let me use it in the Home app!
Also, it now keeps resetting the units to Celsius instead of keeping the Fahrenheit preference I’ve now set many times. This is a new problem, but it affects both NetHomePlus and the AC unit’s LED display.
I also hate that I have to sign in each time. I guess that is part of China surveilling me. I don’t have to do that in Ecobee or any of my other home control apps.

I really like NetHomePlus and it could be so useful. One of the things I like the most about it is that I can schedule when my mini split comes on and turns off. However, while the scheduling program will turn on the air-conditioning, it will not turn it off. I have messed with as many of the settings as possible and the air conditioning unit remains on. Nonetheless, I can still turn it off via NetHomePlus . I just wish it would actually turn off like it is supposed to so I don’t have to mess with it.

NetHomePlus works great for me with a senville unit. In fact I didn’t have to do any of the AP mode stuff when adding it, NetHomePlus just found my unit.
The only thing I wish it had was a comfort zone like some of the other apps I have seen where you can leave the unit in auto temp and auto fan and tell it to stay between 70-74 degrees.

A very nice app. Using it for more than a year and it is surely much better than many similar apps I earlier used.
by Fastawdtsi
NetHomePlus is great, actually. I have zero complaints. The developers have done a fantastic job keeping NetHomePlus current and working.

At first when I was trying to set up my air conditioner to to control it with NetHomePlus it gave me a little problem to connect but after I Connected it is working just fine
by Frespi29
App works as intended with no issues or bugs. The best part is being able to turn my AC on when I’m leaving work and taking my commute. By the time I’m home my house is nice and cool.

NetHomePlus was never great and I often found the air conditioning units off-line or missing scheduled timers. But most days it functioned. After the latest update, the timer (now labeled as schedules) will not turn any of our air-conditioning units off. The schedule for turning them on occasionally works. But the "off function" on the schedules is completely broken. I scheduled a number of "off" timers and none worked. They have to be manually turned off which makes the scheduler completely useless. If this issue is fixed I might update the review.

Every time I try to configure my window AC unit in NetHomePlus , it always tells me that it is unable to configure my unit and to power the unit off and try again. I think I’ve tried 5 different times. I go through all the steps, following everything the setup tells me. And always when it is down to the last few configuration %, I get the error message.
I would really like to be able to use NetHomePlus and it’s functions, but that’s not possible for me.

This is the first app review I have ever given and it is because how strongly I feel about how terrible NetHomePlus and system is. We spent far too much money for this to barely work. With NetHomePlus , it is far too difficult to reconnect the unit back to NetHomePlus once it has disconnected. Which is far too many times than I believe it should. If it were a simple button to click as “turn online” would be a different story. You basically have to reboot an entire new unit all over again, every single time, which seems pretty sad. So instead of clicking simple buttons like clicking something “online” when you see that your unit is “offline” should be easy enough. But no, they make it annoyingly nearly impossible to make the unit back up and running with NetHomePlus again. Saddest app I have ever encountered.

NetHomePlus experience is incredibly disappointing - it’d take someone with introductory iOS development experience less than a week’s work to make something light years better than this. My issues:
- I’m logged out of NetHomePlus everytime it closes
- Everytime I login (which is every time I open NetHomePlus ), I am prompted to agree to the “Terms and Privacy” which is utterly annoying.
- It’s seriously not hard to integrate an app with Apple HomeKit these days... get it together Guangdong Meizhi Compressor Co., Ltd.
- If I only have one AC registered to NetHomePlus , let me set it as default and just open the view for that one system when I enter NetHomePlus ... I don’t need to choose it every time I open NetHomePlus . o
Otherwise, the main control view is pretty okay!
Just please stop making me login and agree to the terms every time I open NetHomePlus ... that’s ridiculous. It’d be cool if you could integrate this with Apple HomeKit, but... that’s probably an unrealistic expectation considering how disappointing NetHomePlus already is (which shows the devs don’t care about improving the user experience).

NetHomePlus is stuck in portrait mode, which is useless on an iPad Pro with an attached keyboard. App shows up sideways and uses only 1/4 of the screen. At least allow it to rotate! Also, the new temperature control that attempts to copy the temp control of Nest is poorly designed, difficult to use, and needs to be updated. At least have some buttons for temp up and down on the side. The previous temp control was much easier to use. Have some originality versus trying to copy the look of Nest, and make it functional please. I hope this review is useful to the developers.

NetHomePlus is obviously not ready for prime time. Does not give proper information as to what’s actually going on, does not fully function the unit, and does not properly indicate what’s happening with the unit a lot of it is guesswork and less you’re standing right in front of unit and can see the display you don’t know what’s going on. Highly suggest the programmers learn the phrase looks like it works and works like it looks.

Ever since update the machines won’t power off on its schedule for some reason. I thought I needed to reinstall NetHomePlus so I deleted it and reinstalled. Tested from last night to today on a long interval. Also tested on short intervals to power off and back on. Nothing! Have them at a business and like to turn them off over night but it seems I have to be spending energy while I’m not there cause now the schedule is not working for me. Please fix or let me know how to do it. Thank you.

The latest update made it so that in dark mode, I can’t see the name of the unit I’m looking for or its status. Just get rid of dark mode, why don’t ya?
Constantly, constantly loses connection with all my units. When it’s connected, it’s great. But I can set it up in the same room as a super powerful router in the morning & see it “offline” by evening. Once it’s offline, it refuses to connect again so you have to delete and go through the whole setup all over again. So annoying.

Installed split unit in workshop two months ago, and I’ve been running on “heat” mode. The good news is that the unit keeps chugging along on its last setting so you don’t have to worry about freezing. However, if it loses the internet connection, it doesn’t regain it automatically. Presumably you can reset it with the remote, but I’ve been unplugging and replugging the dongle which works. other issues are that the presets don’t reliably start up again after regaining connection, and you can’t dependably stay logged in so neurotically checking status is a pain.

Unlike some others apps that i have previously used this one is stuck in the environment that is 3 or so years old. Nowadays you are able to login once and stay logged in as long as your phone is password protected. Here you need to actually type in password every time you need to perform an operation. Aldo, you can’t login with the face or a fingerprint. On the top of everything, if i have multiple units i get kicked out if my wife wants to operate a different unit. One have to be able to use multiple devices at the same time.

I have an air conditioner upstairs in my room and in my grandma and grandpa‘s room and I’m forced to be logged in with Grandpa‘s account and then one time when I went in it to turn on eco it said failed could not find this account then when I hit OK it told me to enter password and I don’t know Grandpa‘s password so please allow at least two devices to be logged in at once because when Grandpa logs into mine it logs his out and then went I went to Grandpa login I get logged out please at least take away re-entering passwords or allow more than one device
by Shepdean
The only annoying thing, you have to shut it down completely by swiping out every time you don’t use it. Otherwise it will ask you to enter your account password every time you come back since the session is expired. Fixing this and adding a Face ID identification would be a nice improvement.

The setup was fairly easy because it’s more or less the same as setting up a Google chromecast device. I’m able to control everything from my iPad , turn it on, off, timer, humidity, and the dryer function.
I’d give it 5 stars if NetHomePlus layout as it’s stuck on portrait mode, no landscape available.... so it isn’t optimized for iPad , although it works just fine as well.
So, for those who may have trouble, just create a logon and password, activate it through the verification email you get then move to the next step which is to enable the wireless mode for the dehumidifier (if you bought other products it’ll obviously be something else) then selecting the device then scan the QR barcode with iPhone/iPad camera then the trick is to disconnect your phone or tablet and connect it to the temporary dehumidifier WiFi broadcast name before being asked to fill in your home WiFi network name and password. It works on old 2.4 GHz frequency only, not the 5Ghz.... so be warned ! Activate it in your modem if you must !
Good luck to all.

I have been using this application to control my air-conditioner for the last year and it has worked very well. The new upgrade is even better. I now have it linked to Alexa and it interfaces great. I wish they could developer an IFTTT applet or a way I can turn the A/C on or off at an outside set point or an indoor set point. Good job so far!
by Ralphenit88
Nothing special but it does what it is suppose to do. I can control it while I’m at work or can turn it off when I’m in bed from my phone. Sometimes it will log me out but all I need to do is log back in. Wish it had Alexa or Siri compatibility
Just rubbish! Clunky, some features just don’t work, have to sign every single time, and why do I have to set the eco mode every single day? Why can’t it be scheduled. Wish I had of chosen a different unit as this WiFi option was important to me. Unit itself functions great in our garage, but the app leaves a lot to be desired and fixed.
Its been a pretty good app UNTIL the recent update.. where it was taking a few seconds the connection now takes a very long time.. my wife still has an older version and it opens fine.iPhones 11 Pro max with 14.7.1, will update iOS. Overall its unusable with the current version fw.
Schedules doesn’t work for me.
Just installed this weekend, the "Schedules" does not work, I can set it, but does change the temp .
App open and Close after 3-6 Sec can't change Settings this start after the last app update is the a another app so can control my aircondition
I got this error . Invoke interface error, Please first login SDK and the use interface What is wrong
Usually it works well but sometimes it doesn't turn on or off the device according to the schedule I programmed on the app (being the device online ) and I don't know why.. I'd apreciate a solution for that. Thanks.
The new update looks fine but, it sometimes work very good but it's far from being a good app. It's a paradox that you an use only this app to control so many devices with so many brands. I wonder why a good developer doesn't take action and make a good and stable app. A big downside is that the schedule doesn't work at all, Off function is totally broken and the On function functions only when it wants.
Hi guys, ac was often offline. After a lot of tentatives i read somewhere the following : set on your router the channel as manual no automatic. With triste settings i solved tlthe offline status issue . Ciao
I had to install the app because the remote control wasn't working. The app doesn't work much better. The fan for the heat doesn't respond properly. Sometimes when you turn the heat down and see the numbers go down you can comeback 10 minutes later and its back to where it was. I feel Very sad for this purchase..
I can not log in to the application with the account to control the air conditioner
can't login on my account
Can't login
