Winnie: Find Child Care Nearby Reviews

I am a father to be and had no clue what to expect. With one post on this app, I could connect with other fathers who are in my exact same position and I got tons of great advice that wasn’t shared with me by doctors and books. There is advice on restaurants, kid friends activities. You never have to share your name. You can choose to post anonymous so you don’t put your name out there. Winnie has it all. I think it’s a must have for new or even experienced parents.

Winnie is great for searching daycare and preschool options near where we live and seeing the options on a map. I also find the reviews by other parents and the links to the licensing sites very useful. It’s convenient to be able to message the child care providers too. The community forum is useful for getting information and thoughts from other parents.

I just want to take the time out and rate Winnie 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. As a first time mom, it is so useful. In a span of 15 minutes I found several great parks, great advice, clothing and childcare needs. I don’t have a lot of moms my age as friends (31 yrs old). Most elders in my family teach old school way and my best friends don’t have much in common anymore these days. I’ve been trying to figure everything out on my own :( But Winnie guides me. Thank you

This is a great app to find information on local child care near me. My states website does not provide nearly as much information about the child care providers as this app does. I love that it focuses on licensed care so I feel much more comfortable knowing the options on here are more legit. It makes browsing for care SO EASY! The forums and parenting advice can be pretty helpful too!

Winnie was really disappointing after I went out of my way to download app,upload a picture, write my profile I find out that it lists maybe 1/20th of the things in my area. I was looking for more like an event calendar first of all, for kids events throughout the city on top of that when I searched for parks with water features and splash pads and centers for kids they didn’t even have a list of what I already knows exists. If I went by Winnie alone and was new to the area completely I wouldn’t even know about the stuff that really is around seems like they need a lot more content contributing

I use all the features of Winnie on a daily basis. From finding an emergency park to stop at when sitting in traffic with antsy kids, to asking for and sharing advice on the forums. It's a social media site just for parents/guardians. Everyone is very friendly, helpful, and respectful of one another, and without judgement!
It's a mom's (or dad’s or grandparent’s or nanny’s) best friend!

I love the new news feed options. Being able to pick my own topics is great, I have a toddler and don’t want to see questions and other posts about babies or older children.

Customization is great in any facet! I use this app to find new fun places to take my tot, and I love to share that info using this app also. Keep it up!

Winnie has a lot of promise and, in theory, it should make a great app one day. But many of the suggestions have misinformation (e.g., mislabeled category, business closed, incorrect address). You’d think a user could easily update the info, but it has to go through some review on their end. I live in a small town and I found the information inadequate. I could easily find the same info with a Google search. Perhaps in populated areas Winnie has more utility.

I wanted to use Winnie to help me through parenthood..give and take some advice from other fellow parents. One of my big concerns is vaccines and every time I posted on the subject it never went through. I finally contacted them and they pretty much said that's too controversial to allow. Funny because there are so many other topics that they allow there were some find controversial too. Anyway I posted something new on another topic and my message wasn't tagged/posted again! Its ridiculous. This is the third time I have a serious issue with them filtrating questions, comments.

I LOVE everything about Winnie! Being able to find great parks, activities and fun for the kids in our community makes planning our day so easy! I love being able to read parent reviews of places and even seeing photos! This is a great tool when I need to get out!

I mainly download Winnie to use the playground and other location search features, and I found them to be pretty immature. They need a lot of work.

Lots of playgrounds nearby are not listed, and the suggestions for restaurants that would be good with kids seem to have no particular rhyme or reason – great places nearby for kids were not included, and average classy restaurants were ranked highly.

I acknowledge that it is hard to get this kind of hyper-local info right, but I think Winnie overpromises what it can deliver.

It’s a good app for single parents who need help or advice to improve life and kids but would have been great if someone can actually communicate with another privately on dm. Please I will want the technical team to look into this thanks.

I love Winnie. You can answer questions to other parents , and respond to their questions too. The topics are interesting! It’s been a big help for me since I don’t have that many friends that are parents . It’s a great way to communicate on parenting topics ! Thanks so much for Winnie

I like Winnie a lot but I’d like to warn a lot of you moms out there, be warned that a lot of times using Winnie to communicate with the daycares or facilities is only good if they ever reply. I requested information from nearly 10 different facilities and nobody sent me a singly email or message via Winnie. It’s been over a month with multiple request and not a single reply.

I use Winnie to find classes and activities to do with my 15 month old daughter. So far I have used the maps to locate parks and it’s pretty decent but I would like if there more pictures about the park . So far I’m trying to explore more of Winnie has to offer .

I love the this app community. The sharing of struggles and ways to deal with them when raising our little ones is an unbelievably valuable resource. I learn something new every time I open Winnie . I just wish I found this earlier.

This is one of my most used apps. The forums are a great resource for advice on life, especially parenting. The childcare search has been super helpful in researching providers, especially when we were moving to a new area.

Love this tool! I've been trying to find something like this related to child care, and this is the first thing even remotely related to finding real answers to child care questions for parents!!!

Have really enjoyed Winnie always looking for options for my 4 1/2 year old and this app and it’s users provides insights I haven’t been able to find with other apps.

If you are a parent (especially a new parent), i HIGHLY SUGGEST Winnie! It’s great for asking questions, looking up new/fun places to take the kids, even places to eat with changing tables or where kids can eat free. I’m telling you ‘this app’ has it all for us parents, don’t miss out.

As an early adopter it's been amazing to see this app grow and develop to suit the needs of the modern day parent!

The forums are a wonderful place to connect, ask for help, or even just vent. The directory has been updated and it's even easier now to find new places and activities to explore. Most importantly, the searchable database for preschools and daycares is an absolute GODSEND (only available for the SF Bay Area but could probably be expanded).

I find myself opening Winnie almost every day and have gotten some great advice from the forums!

I'm delighted to share my positive experience with the excellent preschool my 3-year-old attends. My child absolutely adores her teacher, and it's heartwarming to witness their special bond. The preschool's nurturing environment and engaging activities have truly fostered her growth and development. I couldn't be happier with the choice we made for her early education.
