Seriously just downloaded this 3 mins ago. Wasn't even been able to input the values for one loan before being ambushed by three separate instances of annoying advertisements. Thought this was a good app based on overall reviews. I was wrong. Should’ve sorted the reviews by the most recent. Then I would’ve seen all the reviews of others complaining about incessant ads too. Bottom line: Uninstalling now!

I could see how this could be useful but honestly there are a significant amount of ads. I understand ads maybe necessary and for that I typically am okay with tolerating them.

However, I have to watch an ad everytime I want to save a new loan so as a new user of LoanCalculator if I want to put in all 15 of my student loans in at once I have to watch 5 mins of just ads (each ad is 20 secs). It is either this or enter in the same numbers 15 times every month when I want decide how much to overpay my loans on their due date which may change month to month...maybe I am missing something.

Unfortunately, I deleted LoanCalculator for this reason.

I tried to figure out what the interest and payment would be on a $13,000 loan with interest. The interest was less than a $ even on the first payment and only a few dollar over the total loan. I’ve had several loans and they just do now look like that. More interest in the first months and years and the less interest and more principle as the loan is paid down.

I’ve used LoanCalculator for several months. It has been great for figuring out how much I will save based on how much additional I pay on my loans.

More recently, it’s been updated to show an ad every time the numbers are changed. This becomes very annoying when changing values slightly to see what payments I can make. I’m not against ads, but showing one every 4 seconds is too much of a hassle to be useful, so I am now deleting.

Pops up ads when you try to calculate a loan make this on usable. I was unable to dismiss the ad, and it seems like you just have to wait for a crazy amount of time, like at least 30 seconds to a minute.

I’m sure if you were willing to pay three dollars or more for in app purchases to get rid of the ads it might be a perfectly fine app. And I might have been willing to pay that, if the free version hadn’t been so unpleasant.

I downloaded the free version first, I liked it a lot then I upgraded to no ads, then I paid for the full version after few months LoanCalculator completely shut down and When I open it it has no functions. Very disappointed, they just took my money and without any notification LoanCalculator just stopped working. I’m really thinking to open official complain against them with App Store the only thing stopping me is I don’t have time.

Installed this because it was the highest rated app in the category. Sometimes I think that’s just a self-fulfilling prophecy with the store promotions. Anyhow, not a pleasant UX. Lacks basic features such as setting the loan origination date and is riddled with ads and it’s not just an ad somewhere on your screen but the type that you have to watch before getting your amortization table. Ended up installing another app with far less reviews and it is much better

LoanCalculator is pretty simple and does want it advertised. I realize it’s free, so I don’t mind ads. But these are incredibly intrusive and hard to clear. Freezes and blocks the screen making me watch a 45 second commercial, then after it’s hard to clear. Overall not a keeper

The developer really wants to show you ads, above anything else, he/she needs you to see ads!

I’ve never really seen an app so poorly designed so that you can’t even evaluate of this can be helpful or worth buying. LoanCalculator needs to do what it says it will do first and foremost! LoanCalculator doesn’t do that- it starts with a message about enabling app tracking (don’t do that), followed by immediately showing ads and then more ads. They also don’t give you enough information on the paid updates to make a decision.

Great advertisement delivery method, poor calculator.

I have been using LoanCalculator for years and on a recent update now LoanCalculator shifts up after you input the loan details and it makes it difficult to edit. I was closing LoanCalculator completely and restarting now I have found I can click out and back in and get editing access again. This never happened until recently and feels like a glitch as there is no logical reason for it. I guess I will have to go find a better one that isn’t broken… disappointed because I like LoanCalculator very much

I haven’t really used LoanCalculator much so I really shouldn’t be writing a review yet. I will change it if necessary though. So far I’ve noticed that there is an option for an extra payment per pay period. When you add a dollar amount in that space and then go to the chart which shows principal and interest payments; it does not calculate your extra payment with your principal each pay period.

But there seems to be a bug where I can no longer make changes to the loan data without having to jump to a different screen, then back to the main data screen. This is a new issue and I can’t seem to figure out how to get in touch w support. Otherwise LoanCalculator has been great for years, but this frustration may lead me to use something else…

I’ve used LoanCalculator for years, buying commercial property, and everytime I need to calculate a payment when buying or looking at a property, a stupid ad pops up, and stays on there for what seems like several mins , I wish I could just pay a fee and not have the stupid ads….

I love LoanCalculator and refer to it with all of our financial decisions, as I sit at banks, at dealerships, etc. I use it to negotiate deals and depend 100% on it.

But, I just can’t seem to find a way to report an app issue so I have to leave it in this review.

Here it is: I filled in all fields of a loan and even the extra payment field but when I click on Schedule, it does not calculate to include the extra payment amount. It doesn’t tell me why either.

LoanCalculator is fairly useful, but it needs more like a reset button for the main screen and an input for down payment amount and trade in amount for another car. Other than that, LoanCalculator is ok.

Thank you for this calculator. It’s a very friendly device to help you make big decisions because you see the results in the Pam of your hands so quickly.

Fastest way to approximate a loan payment and has the nice feature of showing how additional payments will affect the remaining term.

It was within pennies of my car loan payment. My HP calculator used to be off by a few cents too.

My dad got this for me to find out how much money I would need to save for a Dodge Charger and I’ll just say this has really helped me improve my life I would really recommend LoanCalculator

Same issue as everyone else. It shifts up and is no longer usable. I assume everyone using this is in finance. Annoying to have to switch screens. Will be using something else. Loved it up until now. Hope they read our reviews and fix it.

I needed an updated version of this kind of app. With that said, LoanCalculator handles everything I need it to!! Way to go developers by making a simple version of LoanCalculator FREE!! Keep up the great work, thanks for the FREE APP!
