Muse Cam・RAW Photo Editor Reviews

As a photographer/cinematographer, I shoot in RAW. The only thing is, is that when I import a RAW image from my DSLR, MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor freaks out and slows to a point where a slug could loop the world twice by the time MuseCam loads an image. I have to edit JPEG for now. Oh well.

On a brighter note, I am still giving MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor 5 stars. By far the best image editor out there. I had MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor before the update that makes you pay for the curves, and I did pay, because they are worth the $4. The HSL sliders and the Tone Curve tools are such advanced tools for an iPhone. I can give any image the signature orange & teal look in about three minutes. I highly recommend MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor to beginner and professional photographers alike. Come on, does the $4 kill you? It's the price of a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Get over it. Upgrade.

A camera app that shoots RAW with an auto mode AND has the most powerful RAW editor in iOS?

Is this Christmas or what?

If you've bought RAW camera apps and couldn't see the point, I'm with you. I've wasted money on a half dozen confusing RAW camera apps and a few underperforming RAW editors as well. I'd pretty much given up when I stumbled across MuseCam. It makes shooting RAW as easy as using the built-in Camera app and has the largest set of RAW-specific editing tools I've seen in iOS. I'm really looking forward to shooting with MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor on my iPhone and editing with it on my iPad.

The only negative is the severe lack of help. You won't find it in MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor nor on the dedicated site. (Search is NOT your friend in either. I just found a lot of template pages on the site filled with greeking.) Most camera functions are fairly logical, but I spent an obsessive few hours tinkering until I figured out the depth of the controls for the camera and RAW editor. Now that I got that down, MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor definitely gets 5 stars.

This is an OK app, nothing special over other apps. I don't use it because every time I open a photo it ignores any cropping or work I've done prior to opening that photo in MuseCam and automatically reverts to the original image. Sorry but I do not like that. It's like starting to work on the image all over again. I imagine that there should be some illogical logic behind it, but MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor should not disregard prior changes to the image, it should be the choice of the user. I look around MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor to see if there was a setting I could switch to prevent it from doing this, but no luck. For that reason I almost never use MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor.

To top it off I purchased some presets and bundles and they are not loading up. I deleted MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor and reinstalled it and restored purchases, the wheel just keeps turning but nothing happens.

When I first started using Musecam it was impressively great. It really pushed the iPhone’s camera to its known limits and I regularly found myself using it to take photos. Over the past few months however, it became increasingly unstable on my iPhone 6 running iOS 11.4.1 and at this point it just continuously keeps crashing on launch. I just went ahead and removed it from my phone because it became completely useless. From other reviewers I’ve seen who are experiencing the same exact problem, I see no point even trying to contact the dev’s as they’ve made it nearly impossible to reach them and at this point I know they are aware of this problem but haven’t even tried to fix it. If they ever get around to patching it and making it usable again I’ll redownload it and rewrite my review.

I am beyond thrilled about this camera app- I was looking into seeing if there was any way to make my iPhone camera even better - and I read about this type of camera app , found this one , and it literally takes HIGHER quality pictures than the already high quality iPhone 5 . They are more clear - I could tell by taking a pic of something really small and the details using MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor were much more clear vs the regular camera picture of the small item . I know Mg review is rambly but it's completely 100 percent my experience and I am beyond happy to recommend MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor to anyone interested .

Whether you're shooting little point and clicks or high-grade cameras, MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor is the universal platform to finish out your photos. I've had MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor for 2 straight years now and have tried to add more editing apps to, but I have realized two things with that
1)There are no other free apps that give you such a range with your pictures.
2) MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor has everything included already.

On a side note, it is pleasant to be able to utilize MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor without having any adds pop in your face and the template MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor uses, looks professional.

I’m not one to write reviews on apps. But this one really makes an exception because it is truly a great photo taking AND editing app.

First of all, it’s free which most apps similar to this one aren’t. And yet they’re not even as good. MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor works great for those who are just beginning as well as those who have already been in the industry for a while. I would honestly pay for MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor if it came down to it. No matter the price because it’s that good. (Please don’t make us pay even though I would) What I’m basically saying is that MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor works wonders!

I discovered a new camera with MuseCam. Works good for me. So much an improvement over the regular camera function included with you iPhone. MuseCam gives you so many controls on the photos you can take with iPhone. This is an unbelievable transformation of my iPhone into the realm of creative applications. Its a free download. A number of creative filters are available for a fee. These filters will help you to convert your ordinary shots into fine photographic images. Try MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor. You will not miss the regular camera function.

This is my favorite editing application for about a year, and I recently purchased the pro kit. Since the application update a day ago I can no longer use it on my iPhone which is on the ios11.1.2 update.

MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor opens as normal, allows me to select pictures, but none of the presets changes the picture being edited. I have gone through all the usual troubleshooting of deleting the application, rebooting the phone and downloading the application, but still it does not work.

***Application developer had this fixed and updated quickly. Love it!

I am a recently-retired photo journalist of over 40 years. I have waited, patiently as possible, for an App that will allow me to combine the very best of both. This is it. I seriously doubt the auto-filter-laden collection of digital photo editing apps i have purchased over the past several years will see much, if any, mentionable use as of today. Many thanks from a very appreciative lifetime shooter.

After the latest update MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor stopped working all together!

I have been using Musecam for months, however the last update froze all actions within MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor . The sliders can be moved around but the image will not change. This is particularly frustrating because I paid extra for the Curves and HSL.

I would have given a one star review, but I cannot. When it works, MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor is stellar and has been my go-to photo editing app for a long time. I am only leaving a review because of how much I dislike not having access to this platform. Once MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor is patched I will happily leave 5 stars.

Edit (they fixed the bug in a day and it is once again the best photo editing app on the market)

I've been on the hunt for a good photo editing app since I got an iPhone last year and I'm glad I did because I think I finally found it. MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor is definitely a MUST for anyone who wants the ease of editing pics on their phone and still manage to be pro about it (bc I'm def not 😂). I love esp. that there's a history button to see what changes I've made and the various ways to manipulate a pic, esp the portions where you pay. Def worth it if you want to go the extra mile with your pics. Still working out kinks with MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor, but so far so good 😊👌

I love MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor , and think that it is totally worth it to buy the split toning and curves.

The only thing really is not being able to use the volume buttons to take photos. Drives me crazy. I also wish there were tutorials, for example when I started I had no idea how to use curves. Now, I would enjoy to know what the option on the very right of the camera is, and what the various options are.

It's hard to find the perfect filter for a photo, but MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor will make that 100 times easier. It saves the edited photo on MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor , so you can choose if you want it on just MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor , or on both the camera roll and app. Also it doesn't ruin the original photo, so you have the original photo and the edited copy. *Definitely worth five stars*

As a teenaged hobbyist with my first real camera, MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor made it so simple to pick a filter, and immediately have a gorgeous image. Now that I'm a more advanced photographer, I love being able to control the wide array of image settings to get that perfect picture every time. One of my all time favorite apps, and clearly the best photo editing app out there!

MuseCam is a better thought-out, more intuitive and more soundly logical UI/UX than any other imaging application I've used, and I've used or tested over 100 mobile apps for advanced function image-editing. It's robust, handles memory allocation well and it's tools approximate large industry standards. Phenomenal application in anyone's hands using iOS.

I actually prefer MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor over VSCO if I’m honest. I think the photo editing options are absolutely amazing! Sadly, recently I have been editing photos in it and not even a minute of me being in MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor , MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor force closes :( its quite sad as I paid for the extra features as well and I can’t even use them! :( hope you guys can update MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor soon and fix this bug!

A wonderful app for editing pictures with many options for editing pictures, and i love the ability to create my own custom effects its the reason purchased the tool kit, however MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor would be great if you would increase the intensity of your effects and filters but I still highly recommend MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor for editing pictures.

I give this 3 stars. It's a good app that allows you to unlock the potential of the new camera system, but has a bunch of in app purchases required to really make the most of it. I hate freemium apps so if that's an issue for you then you will be annoyed too. I would rather know up front what the price is. Aside from that, it works well with no crashing or glitches. I wish there were easier ways to undo or reset settings.

I have only been using MuseCamRAWPhotoEditor for a few days now but I really like the camera it takes better pics than any of my other ones. I'm still figuring new things out every time I use it. I will probably pay to upgrade because I'm that impressed with it.
