I had no trouble setting up my blinds on my iPhone 8 and my wife’s 10R. It works perfectly and I really don’t use the remote anymore, just my phone. What I would like to see is the ability to move blinds up or down the list so I could prioritize them. Right now you can’t, the order you install them is the order they appear in a list format and it cannot be changed. Also, you can only set schedules for each room and not each individual blind. I’d like to see that changed. I don’t use Alexa, Google, or any voice controlled devices, just the apps that come with the hardware for my home security, lights, etc. I would hope that Neo works to improve their software over time, that’s why I gave it 5 stars, because although it needs some better functionality, it does work great and was easy to set-up and install each blind.

NeoSmartBlinds is fairly straightforward. Unlike the Google version that lets you use commands like “open” and “close,” the Alexa version has you say “on” or “off.”

It would be much easier to remember “Alexa, open bedroom window.”

I also had a conflict with the Lutron app. The Neo app seemed to take priority, and it had a preset room called kitchen. When I asked Alexa to “turn off the kitchen lights” she would now say something to the effect of “kitchen does not support that.” I had to delete the kitchen from the neo app.

I have used NeoSmartBlinds and controller for over a year and it has been extremely reliable. Improvements and enhancements have happened regularly such as the addition of Siri Shortcuts. Google assistant has also improved. Kudos to the developers.

I have been in touch with an excellent technical expert from NeoSmart Blinds (NSB) who provided a thorough and detailed assistance in the programming of one of my shades in the living room of our house. I got the new shade as a replacement for the one whose motor broke about 3 years ago. After I received the new shade, I called NSB technical support and fortunately Khalil picked up my call. He helped me pair the new shade with the remote controller and program the new shade to operate in unison with the other 4 old shades in our living room. Many thanks to Khalil, the 5 shades now close and open all simultaneously at the scheduled times. Khalil was great at telling me detailed instructions over the phone, especially since the NSB app is not exactly very user friendly. He stayed with me the whole time on the phone and never once did he show any irritation with my many questions. He has a gentle and reassuring voice and has excellent telephone manners. Khalil has amazing listening skills and overall customer service skills. What I appreciate most about Khalil is his detailed knowledge of the hardware (the shade), as well as the software app and was able to direct me to the correct screens of NeoSmartBlinds . Khalil is a great asset to the company and a delight to work with as a technical support person!

I needed help with my installation of a home automation hub and the response I got when I contacted customer support was beyond excellent!. Shawn spent a lot of time with me and made sure that everything worked and that I understood everything that I needed to know. Everything worked out great and I am a really satisfied customer!

I was struggling to figure out how to get this set up. To get it set up and properly working I called customer service. David was fantastic and so helpful. He walked me through it and after that it’s been working great! If you call definitely speak with David!!

My wife recently purchased new blinds for our bedroom and I could not get them to pair with the hub. I reached out to support and they responded quickly. They helped me pair the new blinds. Now with the automation we can close/open all 3 blinds with a single command. Again, support was awesome.

I am absolutely secure in recommending this company and their product/app.

I had some trouble getting my storm shutters to pair. Through no fault of NeoSmartBlinds , or the hub. Of course I was disappointed.

Customer service to the rescue. After a few emails back and forth, and a 41 minute phone call, they walked me through it from beginning to end. Even got me connected to Google Home, AND answered all of my questions, and others I didn't know to ask.

If you're automating your home, please support this company. They really make you feel like you have a friend.

I had a great deal of difficulty setting up Neo smart blinds controller(You need 2.4GH Wifi. I had to turn off the 5GH wifi in my Orbi). Shawn Marosek was very patient and walked me through all the way to set it up finally. I sincerely appreciated the support and help!

The application works well and has no real issues. Blinds work well and works with Siri Shortcuts.

The in app settings don’t allow to update or change the account email, but I contacted customer support via email and they responded and helped within 24 hours.

Super easy to use app. I have other vendor apps and by far this is the best one. The help desk is exceptional. Not only did Shawn answer my question, he gave me suggestions to improve the way we use the product. Very consultative approach vs treating me like a transaction. passionate about what he does and he makes a difference!!!

We’ve had Neo Smart Blinds for a couple years now & have been quite happy with them. We recently ran into a challenge with NeoSmartBlinds , which is in the process of being addressed. We called the company & a couple hours later, Shawn got back to us & helped us troubleshoot until we resolved the problem—thanks!

Haved used this for several years now and it keeps getting better. Have four rooms under Neo control.

One tip - if you find that some rooms don't always fire on schedule, add a second matching command 2 minutes later. I've never had a fail in the last two years with this approach.

The Neo Smart Blinds was a bonus happy discovery when I found out they work with my Alpha Motor controlled blinds. Now I no longer need to find the remote control or click several buttons to get to the right blinds. Everything can be controlled from the convenience of my phone. Also allows me to set schedules to auto open or close blinds for day and night. It syncs with Alexa and Google, even better, since I can get Alexa to do all that work with voice command :). When there was an issue with one of my blinds not connecting back to with Alexa after a recharge, I sent Neo an email and they called me back in hour, solved it in a sec. Great service, user friendly app, great functions. A game changer for a lazy person like me!

I can't overstate how much I love NeoSmartBlinds and the accompanying hardware. I have 10 motorized blindster blinds around my house and wanted to find a way for years to control them on schedules instead of the terrible RF remotes. NeoSmartBlinds works really well and I commend the developers for their work.

If you add widget support I would be over the moon. My smart garage door and lights have widgets which really bring them to the next level, and if you can add a way to put a few blinds in a widget that would make it even easier to open and close blinds on demand.

The Google home integration works for now but sometimes I don't want to, or can't speak commands.

I change Internet providers and my blinds stopped working. I tried for three days to do this on my own, however I could not reconnect them. One call to David and my blinds were working in less than five minutes. He knew just what he was doing and was able to guide me through the process quickly. I am so thankful.

i have been using neo smart blinds / hub for the last 3 years and the hub model i have is CR-300 and it is very very reliable. works perfectly with alexa. i also have to mention that the customer service is abosolutely world class...Sean helped me to fixed an issue I was dealing with for weeks and he was able to resolve it in 10 mins! great product with great people.

We really wanted to be able to control our new blinds (4 of them) from our iPhones. The NEO Blind controller was a perfect solution. The setup for the controller was smooth and easy.
The surprise was how easy it was to connect the individual blinds to the NEO controller. Just push the button on the motor in the Blind and confirm it on the NEO APP.
The integration with Alexa worked right out of the gate. Just need to remember at this time Alexa only knows OFF and ON, soooo “Family Room OFF” is all blinds down and “Family Room ON “ means all blinds UP.

I run a window treatment company and have tried so many different hubs. I am confident to say Neo smart blinds has the best features and the easiest hub to set up in the market. And it supports the majority of motor brand. The best part is their technical support is fantastic.
