elGrocer: UAE Grocery Delivery Reviews

Whenever I place an order it’s never on time the delivery time on elGrocer has no relevance, what is the point of displaying items if there is no stock? Frequent cancellation due to lack of stock, and no point of ordering, 3 days of the same order , what has store to do with this ? Is your app or company reliable ? I understand once a mistake two day’s in a row is this a company ? Isn’t this just a delivery app? What are you showing if your items are not available? What delivery times elGrocer gives what is the reliability? If all you do is postpone ? I had the same conversation yesterday with another rep , is this the reason you start a new conversation to apologize the next day? To top it off elGrocer finally says delivered for items that never reached me, I was home the entire time waiting for delivery 🤣🤣🤣🤣 what a waste of time.

I ordered for my items through this application from Sharjah Coop. , I ordered 4 days ago , it was late one more day after the order scheduled and when the employee called to prepare the order , he found many items not available as in the order !!! How is that ? Sharjah Coop. updated their offers yesterday and all my items was there.
Unfortunately no proper answer from the live chat about the order status, if they informed that for sure it will get delayed, I won’t be upset. And after the delay , the items not available in stock , why the offers still shown in their application then.

Whenever i place an order its always later than whats written on elGrocer . The last time i ordered they called me 8 times one after the other to ask me if i want the delivery on the time mentioned or a few hours later. Another time the driver calls me an hour later and tells me to send him my location through whats app. Isnt the reason elGrocer is there so that they know my location directly. When talking to customer service , there is no compensation for their behaviour. USELESS! There is no coordination between the market and elGrocer . INSTASHOP IS BETTER!

I ordered from M&S Food. The delivery never arrived after one week. This didn’t surprise me, what was unfortunate was the lack of reliability of the chat assistant. They kept telling me the delivery was on it’s was after checking the order number, 3 times it was confirmed. They then cancelled the order 7 days later. I contacted them again, they offered to re-submit the order. It was obvious M&S wasn’t going to complete the order but for some reason the chat assistants couldn’t figure this out and kept making empty promises. Disappointing

I stared using elGrocer few months ago and now I find it much easier than calling and getting the wrong things on phone. The phone gets me super frustrated 😀😀

Probably the worst and most inconsistent service I’ve used. They have an amazing selection, and they trick you by saying they’ll deliver it within 24 hours. But that’s not the case. They deliver days after the promised time, they substitute items without consulting. Customer service doesn’t respond to any communication, and the phone number doesn’t work. incredible waste of time, you’re better off waiting for other delivery services.

First time I ordered about half of what I chose was not available. Also a few mistakes as for example bringing me about 5kg of tomatoes when I ordered 5 single tomatoes. I insisted on trying elGrocer once more and they called me insistingly to tell me a lot of products were not available and to ask for my address which is in the order form in the first place. I will erase elGrocer. Definitely do not recommend.
Try Kibsons on-line instead, they are great!

Please make sure to educate the team to check the expiry of the items and the item itself yo avoid any opened items to be delivered to the customers.

This is by far the most reliable home delivery service in town and their customer service is top notch! Highly recommended 🍫🍊🍏

Ordered on 2 April. Delivery slot allocated to us was 11 April, which is fine given the circumstances. 11 April came and went with no news. When I contacted you on 12, 13, 14 and 15, you said you will expedite the delivery of our order. We still have not received it, however on your app you now ask if we are happy with the delivery!!!! On elGrocer it now looks like you delivered but we have not received anything!!!!!

elGrocer usually displays items with photos that don’t represent the product, their inventory is almost not updated (after you order, you get a lot out of stock), no online payment and delivery is not guaranteed on the given times. Customer service chat is one person who keeps telling you to be assured will provide & deliver as copy paste sentence without actual action.

I was quite happy with elGrocer and the experience given the circumstances. But in my last order, the driver did not bring me my items correctly and I paid for them. The customer service team kept stringing me along and never replaced the items I didn’t receive. Not worth it to be honest as it seems they are dishonest and do not value the individual as a customer:

The most bad experience I tried ever, I ask to deliver my items between 7-10 they call me 11:30 pm to check the location , I ask to make it next day because it was sleeping time , next day they side you will receive your order between 3-4 and in the end they told me your order canceled and we can’t deliver it any more.

3 of 4 times, ordered items not available and require replacement or price increase!

So what's the point of ordering in this platform?

Consumers could order competitor online portals and apps directly and didn't find any advantage of using this platform.

I’ve been using elGrocer over a year and the way these guys make shopping experience more easy I loved it.

elGrocer never updates to say when the driver is en route and the driver never shows up on time. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Almost to the point where I will no longer use your service.

Gives options for larger supermarkets and I love the “shopping list” function.. makes my life easier!

More than 1/4 of items you order will be “not available”. elGrocer will crash unexpectedly. Delivery time will never arrive on time . Customer service is a joke! Joke of a company save yourself !!! Do not make a mistake and use elGrocer . If I could rate it zero stars I would . Very disappointed.

elGrocer is worst, they came collect money in cash, but never bring my items, talking through elGrocer for last 2 weeks, no answer, no result, they even dont have phone number or email address, all the information they have are incorrect, dont order from them

Many wrong items. My experience with this app is extremely bad to the extent that they sent items that I did not give consent to. Every time, I make an order. I must be notified that I have to make a replacement. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to use elGrocer. Absolute waster of time and money. And as mentioned above worst customer service ever.

amazing customer service and amazing fast delivery. they are very helpful and always keen to resolve and satisfy the customer needs. i would recommend elGrocer for anyone who wants to order groceries that will arrive in no time.
