Cannot read tiny gray instructions so cannot even try it

2024-04-28

The very first page says “secure your account” that’s the only thing I can read and even that is too small. There are smaller gray letters underneath that are impossible to see due to contrast issues. I am unable to stretch the image to read it. Why are you filling the page with a useless picture of an airplane instead of with larger, darker, important words for how to use it?

Not working

2024-04-21

I have downloaded RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions now not both of my phones and every time I try to make a call it says connecting and then a “unexpected error screen” and when I’m given the option to contact support the button doesn’t work.

Please contact me to solve this issue, thanks.

You have to give callers a new number to call

2024-04-12

This service doesn’t work with your existing phone number. Rogervoice gives you a new phone number folks have to call. That wasn’t clear in the description and I had to pay for an apparently non-refundable month of service to find that out.

Cannot use roger voice

2024-04-21

Edit: it gets better. Transcriptions are still inaccurate and there's a few bugs in RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions that still haven't been sorted.

There's an issue with number register. I did type in confirm number and still won't let me use due to device error. I tried with tech support.. Tech was helpful but couldn't get it to resolve. And they gave up i guess. I still waiting on reply.
All I did was uninstall and then reinstall using same number and phone to register but app denied me access. *Reason for uninstall because RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions keeps forced closing on its own and won’t allow use.** Can't access roger voice therefore I can't enjoy its features or paid subscription services. I paid for the service and now It's no use for me now. And I’m one disgruntled user!!!! Stay clear of this. Don’t waste your money

Almost perfect

2024-04-21

It’s really good, the free version of course. The paid version not so good, every time my gramma calls under the $29.9 a month with the assigned number somebody unknown calls her back saying that somebody called that number.
It’s really annoying.
So she is not using the number that RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions assigned to her, the way we got it working is that if somebody calls her regular phone she hangs and then calls back using RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions until they fix that issue of calling random numbers.

Update: we decided to cancel the service and remove RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions , it took almost two months to get a vague response.

Extremely welcome app, albeit buggy!

2024-04-21

UPDATE: RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions is too buggy and it’s getting worse. Use InnoCaption, which is free and the quality of transcription is superior.

As a deaf person, RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions dramatically changed my life!

There are a few bugs however:

1- no way to paste a number directly in dialer
2- when someone is speaking fast, transcription will occasionally freeze up until they stop talking. Then a few seconds later the entire text of the conversation will show up.
3- sometimes the transcription does not scroll automatically, worse it resets to a particular position forcing me to constantly scroll down to latest text while someone is speaking. This is rare however.
4- on an iPhone SE (2016 model) RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions is near unusable and does not open in time to answer calls.

No one is there to help

2024-01-02

When I need help I need it right away - using a telephone is because something is urgent- and it takes several hours before someone gets to me… and their system is always complicated for me to find the dialogue , my request… nothing is easy with Roger Voice

Eh

2024-05-29

Download RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions since I have hard of hearing and was very hopeful that I can have subtitles in my calls. I’m fine if it’s not 100% accurate which I can fill in the gaps on my own. But the thing is I can’t use RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions when I RECEIVE calls. Unless, there’s a way and I need to make some changes. But as of right now I’m giving 2 stars because of that reason.

Only Works for Outbound Calls

2024-01-02

Have subscribed for 2-3 months, worked ok then not (still am subscribed for now). Can’t receive any calls, just hangs up on them with a phone routing message and they call my regular number and complain at me where I can’t understand them.

Updated interface only has about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of space to read captions, terrible with fast scrolling automated telephone systems “press 1 now.”

Scrolling keeps jumping back to the middle or top so I have to keep pulling it back down to try to keep up with what’s being said.

I keep asking myself if this is really working and worth $30 a month. These are back-end problems, so it’s a joke to tell me to contact customer service but they probably will anyway.

translations and disconnects

2023-05-17

Translations aren’t that great. Sometimes I have to ask called party to repeat themselves because nothing made sense that came across on closed captions. Also the last three calls I made ( using up my pre-paid minutes) were disconnected before I could respond with pressing 1 or 2 ....

Useful App for Hearing Impaired people with Speech Ability

2024-05-19

RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions is a great tool when it comes to speaking with people over the phone. In fact, RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions helped me land a job since most of the interviews were through a phone with recruiter. Before RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions, I had a tough time landing a job since it was difficult for me to speak with the recruiter unless it was an in-person interview.

Note to point, the live captioning is not perfect and some transcripts can get lost in the conversation. But I believe the developers are hard at work in closing those gaps. There are a few bugs like any other app. I am hoping for the best to come out of this so we can speak to people over the phone with more confidence.

It works really well!

2024-05-19

It’s a great app and the transcription is pretty solid, not perfect, but fast and mostly accurate. The only suggestion I have is that there be a setting to allow the “speaker phone” to be on by default. I think many people using this are hard of hearing, but not necessarily completely deaf. Just like close captioning on TV, to be able to hear the audio but I also see the words goes a really long way. My father who is older (90) and hard of hearing has a very difficult time remembering to hit the big + sign and then recognize the gray speaker icon and then remember to hit that icon so it turns green to then hear the sound of the other person. If there was a simple toggle where you can decide if the speaker is on by default or off by default, that would be great and it would get five stars! Thanks for all the work here!

Works pretty well except a couple of things

2024-11-09

RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions transcribes quickly and does a pretty good job with translation. Of course it isn’t perfect but definitely close and helpful. I use it to talk to my wife who has recently had full hearing loss.

There are a couple of issues that I have encountered.

One problem is that it is sometimes difficult to get connected taking several attempts which can be frustrating.

The other most prevalent issue is RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions sporadically jumps up to the top of the conversation causing you to have to continually stroke up on the screen to keep it to the active part of the conversation.

Outside the fact that it discontinues the call if it doesn’t hear conversation, it has been a big help and allows others to call her and have a conversation.

Thank you so much!

Great app

2024-06-02

This is a godsend for anyone with hearing difficulties and the transcriptions have worked very well for me. I left off one star because RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions doesn’t allow pasting in phone numbers even tho the prompt clearly says ‘dial or paste’ a number. This is a significant flaw as it effectively requires you to share your contacts with the server (or manually write out the number somewhere else and enter it in by hand). Still, RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions otherwise is near perfection. Thank you!

Receiving calls

2024-07-22

I can call and it works fine but when I get calls it doesn’t connect and I have to call them back

Very Clever App

2024-01-04

Love RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions. Really helpful talking with my brother who’s hard of hearing. Texting is fine, but being able to talk is way better. Also feels more private than the traditional TDD. Thank you for making RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions!

Good but annoying

2024-07-22

It is annoying that it has you rate every call. But it works well.

Amazing

2025-04-30

I’m so happy to be able to contact my sister and other family members. My hearing is really bad. Hearing aids don’t help anymore. You have been a blessing to me and all those who will be able to use it. Thank you.

May God bless you.

This is a miracle app

2024-07-01

I am so thrilled with RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions. My father is very deficient in hearing. He has the closed caption phone but the lag time in translation is not acceptable. RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions transcribes in real time. No lag in conversation. It’s amazing!!!! It brings me to happy tears that my father can still keep up with us now!!! Thank you Rogervoice!!!

Upgrade procedure

2025-06-10

Your new update corrected the incoming call busy signal. RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions is amazing and at long last I can communicate on my telephone. I am grateful to all that coded, designed and invented RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions. I have one question; during an extended conversation the words displayed slow or halt for several seconds, what is the reason?
Thank you,

Harry Anderson

Tried trial how do I purchase

2024-01-04

I tried the trial but can’t find way to purchase
Is it still free between people who have RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions ? I hesitate to use the star system because it wouldn’t be fair to you nor honest since I can’t truly evaluate without buying

Incredible

2025-11-30

The most ease of use and felt like a total reform into a hearing person. Thank you.

No title just testing

So far so good. I still have to read more about RogervoicePhoneCallCaptions and how much it costs. Franky
