Update made the app horrible

First off, RegenceHealthInsurance never opens on the first try. It just pulls up a Regence splashscreen and nothing more. Doesn't move no matter how long I wait. Upon force closing and reopening RegenceHealthInsurance , it typically works, but only if you sit there and wait for it to log in - you can't switch to another app while it's logging in, which always takes a while, or you're right back to being stuck at the Regence screen.

It used to be there was a lovely list of recent claims that showed the amount owed to the right of each one. A few months ago, RegenceHealthInsurance updated, and that is no longer the case. It still shows a list of recent claims, but you have to go into each one of them in order to see any details. This is simply horrible, because I have to spend a lot of time manually going through my many claims to make sure everything is okay with each one. No more quick scroll to see if any of the amounts owed are higher than they should be. PLEASE bring the old layout back. This new version is serious crap.

Worse version of the website

It’s near impossible to use the find doctor function (the main reasons people would use RegenceHealthInsurance.) It sends you to an endless loop of logging in, once you manage to get to the find a doctor section you’ll be stuck loading the page again every time you apply each filter, and there’s no option to email any providers. And, no joke, RegenceHealthInsurance is just the mobile website with a different colored border.

You’d figure a company this size could spend a little extra for an actually functioning app. Skip RegenceHealthInsurance all together and just call your insurance themselves to find a provider, since the 15-40 minute wait time will still be quicker and less frustrating.

Multi-billion dollar company

The only reason people would download a medical insurance app is to find an In- Network providers in their area. But RegenceHealthInsurance fails in every way. You are a multi billion dollar per year company! Maybe you don’t want to tell your members who is in-network, so you can save money when you deny claims. If I could rate less than 1 star I would. Wake up Regence, Generation X, and Millennials are going to expect better I.T. from a company of your size. Developers of RegenceHealthInsurance need to listen to others and make a search function for current in network providers and create a filter for that search function. You mirrored your app from the website which’s just as useless. Lazy developers if you ask me. App deleted.

Denial of claim

I submitted a Super bill for reimbursement and received a request for additional information dated May 1, 2024.
A denial of the claim for failure to provide additional information was issued the next day on May 2, 2024.
A claim that should be able to be filed within a year of the appointment is now requiring an appeal within 60 days after allowing 24 hours for a response to for additional information?!

That is ridiculous and I’m sure illegal.

What a poorly designed app

A medical insurance app? You’re kidding us! Who would download RegenceHealthInsurance? -people who want to find in-network clinics and hospitals. Is there a search function to “sort by in-network” or “show only in-network”? No. Is there an integrated map that shows all providers on map? No. Instead, they just link it to the web mobile format. Why would users download an app if you’re linking everything to your web version? We would just get on website or use browser instead! Please improve. You are big company with crazy huge funding. What the hell have your IT developers been doing?

Why does this trash have such a high rating?

I downloaded based on the star rating, expecting be able to have easy mobile access to find providers and pharmacies in my network. I wanted this feature specifically for my adult daughter, who is still on my insurance, but lives away from home for school. She doesn't live in an area where our main network providers are, so I wanted her to be able to easily find "preferred" providers in her area. This is not an actual feature that works on this garbage app. What is the point of RegenceHealthInsurance without these convenient mobile features for use when you're away from home? And more importantly, who in the world is giving four and five star ratings for an app that is basically worthless when you're away from home? Isn't that what mobile apps are for? Do better, Regence. You collect enough of our hard earned money that you should be able to provide better mobile access to tools we would actually be able to use.

Last update has made the app buggy

Ever since the latest update, every time I’m trying to view information in RegenceHealthInsurance I get a pop up that says there was an error loading data and it logs me back out. It makes RegenceHealthInsurance nearly unusable. I never experienced this until the last couple weeks after RegenceHealthInsurance updated. I hope it gets resolved soon.

Difficult to use

It took me an hour and a half and two calls to Regence to find out how to use RegenceHealthInsurance and had to redo my account passwords, Then to find out where in RegenceHealthInsurance you submit a bill. The actual submitting of the bill is tedious, especially because apparently your information is not stored for a later date. I will continue to submit my bills by mail even though I am sure that Regence would prefer that I do it electronically

Mediocre

Needs to be formatted better for an iPad. It runs with a cropped screen meant for a phone. Creates trouble for us ipad users. I don’t find RegenceHealthInsurance easy to navigate. Service is usually pretty prompt but not the best bedside manners in the message center. Service folks on the phone are far better.
Covers basic needs but could be so much better.

Update messed up back button

Recent update places the back/close button right where the time is on the iPhone X and later is. The placement there makes it impossible to go back or close screens like claims so you have to fully close down RegenceHealthInsurance and restart it to navigate.

Electronic signature glitch

Navigating the claims process went well. It tells you which fields are required. But at the end, when it asks for your e signature, the text box is covered up by my on screen keyboard that pops up on my iPhone and hides what I’m typing. I have to press and hold swiping up to view what I typed. When I lift my finger it snaps back down and is hidden again behind the keyboard.

It’s okay

Pros:
Having access to my insurance card and being able to share by email or text. My husband is always misplacing his and it’s very helpful.

Cons:
My individual/family deductible and out-of-pocket is not accurate and has not synced up to what it shows when I sign on through the internet. Why would this be different? I want to only use RegenceHealthInsurance for convenience.

Unable to share EOBS. Even though there is an option for you to share an EOB, you are not going to be able to. At best, all you are sharing is a file name. If this functionality worked it would be great for my flex spending.

Meh

RegenceHealthInsurance is pretty user friendly, which I like. But the main issue that drives me nuts is that if I leave RegenceHealthInsurance (not close it, but just go out and into a different app), then it loses all my progress of my doctor search and I have to start all over. So annoying. It makes it very hard to find a doctor and do research. The other problem is that many doctors are not updated (for example, RegenceHealthInsurance says they are taking new patients, but they actually aren’t).

Update needed!

Great app so far my only suggestions would be to update RegenceHealthInsurance so we can use Face ID to log in instead of having to type in our password each time and also have the ability to add our membership cards to our wallet for easy access. Thanks

Good app

This is a good app, but what would make it great is a graphic update, one that works better with iPhone 11 pros.
Also, you only support Touch ID, so I have to put in my password every time .

The overall app is wonderful and works exactly the way it is supposed to, and gives the information it’s supposed too. I use it often to view co-pays, benefits, find doctors, and pre-auth services . So it serves its purposes and I WOULD ABSOLUTELY, recommend RegenceHealthInsurance to anybody .

It’s because I use RegenceHealthInsurance so regularly that I would like to see the updates mentioned above .

Meets our Needs

I have a LOT of medical charges and I appreciate getting an email each time a claim is processed. I do check routinely what is charged. My request is that you make it easier to delete messages in RegenceHealthInsurance without the need to open each one and delete one at a time. I ess as Mt to be able to delete many once I’ve checked it.

Just needs little fixes

My biggest complaint is that there isn't a perception coverage tool. If I need to start a new med or see if something is covered and at least an estimated cost I have to ask the pharmacy or just hope the dr tells me what is covered and that's annoying. And if it does have that feature it is difficult to find...

Love the functionality

Alerts on what I need to do next, the ability to submit out of network claims through RegenceHealthInsurance , and outputs of all my financial information to track. I like the features and it “just works” which is exactly what I need.

Great!

I’ve only been with Regence for about 2 months now and I am definitely impressed! The last company o was with us no app and their “mobile” version of their website was horrible to navigate and atrocious to look at. I love that everything is available in RegenceHealthInsurance and if I can’t find it, I can call. SUPERB!

Life saver

RegenceHealthInsurance makes tracking my health Insurance statistics much easier. And so far I have not experienced any issues with it. I can submit claims through RegenceHealthInsurance without a problem.
