Great app till you actually need to do or look up something Specific

Love that I can see my claims and Rx from the past. But when you need to add notes to your prescriptions there’s a glitch where the keyboard is in the way of the save button and there’s no way of pulling the keyboard down out the way. And they removed the ability to search for a specific doctor by name to see if they are in your network. I had to search a LONG list of several hundred drs and they are listed in no particular order. Just random so you can’t even scroll alphabetically. I swear I seen a dr was in network before contacting her to set up a surgery. But then when I contacted customer service to check on the pre-authorization and get an estimated out of pocket cost I was told she wasn’t in my network and they couldn’t give me an estimate. I went to try and find her in the search again but got tired of scrolling through hundreds of drs and without the ability to search by name it would have taken hours. Now I have learned if I find a dr in the list to take a screenshot of the list and their info. And since they changed things around it was hard to find the section that gives you an estimate out of pocket cost for procedures or for anything.

Terrible glitchy app

Searching for a healthcare provider using UnitedHealthcare is a nightmare. Good luck searching for a specific provider. Is it under doctors, Specialists, facilities? Who knows! And good luck to you trying to figure it out. Not as simple as just entering a search term and seeing what results match your inquiry like a normal search engine with other insurance companies.
To top it off, once you find a list of potential providers, make sure you go through them quickly before UnitedHealthcare decides to log you out and you have to sign in and start over halfway through your review.
But, that also depends if UnitedHealthcare decides to let you log in at all. Depending on its mood it may log you in or it may tell you that your record wasn’t found, despite using FaceID linked to the same password that’s always worked for you.
But worst of all, I was able to save a list of all my health providers for easy reference which you’d think is great. Well, that is until UnitedHealthcare decided to one day delete all my saved providers so that I had to look for them all over again using their terrible search engine and save them again. Who knows how long they’ll last in my Saved bucket this time.
I hate UnitedHealthcare so much I have basically just resigned myself to using the desktop version.

Convenient, easy-to-use and useful

UnitedHealthcare allows you to view claims your providers have submitted to the insurer. Some of the claims are eye opening and will surprise you - such as how many claims a single visit might entail. You have the opportunity to mark-off which ones have been paid to assist the insurer to track whether your deductible has been reached. UnitedHealthcare also allows you to quickly check which providers are in-network. Prescriptions on OptumRx are managed on a separate app. You can also save the contacts of your regular doctors for easy reference. It will also prompt you to look after your health by getting your blood pressure taken, getting a lipid panel or getting a flu shot. However, you do not put anything personal into UnitedHealthcare . It does not collect your health data, so that’s good from a privacy perspective, but if that’s what you’re looking for, you’ll need another app.

Best experience I’ve had healthcare apps!

I will say that I have been very impressed UnitedHealthcare. I have had BCBC and Cigna’s apps, and by far UHC has been the most functional and user friendly for me!

I have only been using it since September 2019 when my benefits switched. All I can say is I never missed a beat and have not had to call UHC for anything to date! For me this alone has me smiling!

I give it 5 stars, but I am great at updating my reviews if and when my experience or thoughts change! Keep it operating properly and don’t try to improve or change it if it’s not broken. Too many companies do this and someone needs to say enough at times! When ease turns to frustration say good bye to things that affect your bottom line!!

Very convenient

I love that all my information is at my fingertips including my HSA balance. Very easy to add your doctors that are in network. However I find it annoying that I could not add an out of network physician as my GP. My GP is a PAC, I honestly have never even met the doctor listed on my scripts (who happens to be in-network). I think a seamless integration with MyChart and GoodRX should be something the developers should look into for a one stop shop with appointment scheduling, test results, and medication cost options. As it is now, the user interface is clean and easy to navigate without more than a couple of minutes poking around when you first use it. If you a falling apart like me and have frequent office visits and multiple doctors, it’s a handy app to keep your insurance information and claims in order.

Quality Health Care App

UnitedHealthcare is very useful and I find myself using it frequently. It is well-designed and relatively intuitive; for starters it is Faced ID-enabled so I don’t have to go looking for my userid and password every time. It was also smart enough to look up both my current policy and one from a previous job so I can check my full history. All of my recent claims are here and there are quick links to contact the nurse line, find a nearby provider, or talk directly to UHC.

It would get five stars except for two things: there’s no way to initiate a claim from UnitedHealthcare (you have to use the full desktop site) and there seems to be no way to integrate with any medical records (for example, it keeps suggesting that I get my flu shot, even though I got it during a covered visit).

Overall, though, it’s a very solid app.

IVIG Delivery, billing errors, and coding errors

Off and on for the past 2, years, I have been jumping through hoops to take care of multiple, as in at least 20 billing and coding errors, that result in me getting charged hundreds of dollars each tim, when it should be covered 100%. I am being charged as a home infusion, when I have NEVER, EVER had a home infusion my whole life. I have always gotten my infusions at an infusion center. I have also had my IVIG delivered to my house, instead of the infusion center, and they had to return to pick it up. I just received another notification today, saying another IVIG delivery will be arriving tomorrow. It’s never ending. I have been told over and over and over that it will be red flagged, and I won’t have to worry about it anymore. I have even spoken to my Patient Navigator. This is very stressful, and not good for my health, as stress is a HUGE factor in the possibility of a relapse related to my autoimmune disorder.

Awesome New Organizer!

I am very impressed with what I see, it’s great for staying in the loop of things as they are processing, I love that I could see everything and everyone that I seen or visit with, perfect and the charges are broken down so you can see everything, if your life is very busy and you have to keep thing organized this is what you need, you can make notes on each claim and keep it all together with that claim. I finally was able to register and log on today after trying for a couple weeks and I’m so glad I’m up and running with it. Stress defuser, peace of mind is where it help me to be....Thanks

Not again?

Why is my previous review deleted Apple??
Same complaint about UHC as before… stopping all promotional emails is not possible. The “opt out” button is non working or fake. It doesn’t do any good to block emails (or unsubscribe) within the Gmail app because UHC periodically uses different addresses to send from… just like scam callers constantly change their phone #.
I don’t believe I want to do business with UHC anymore since this is a representation of how they do all of their business. I’m going to shop around next enrollment time. I’m also going to pass this onto all the FB sites and pages (including a 1400 friend list to pass on) concerning the relentless pursuit of customers when they choose not to be solicited. I’ll be making a reminder in my phone, along with a copied & pasted of this review, to check this review every month to make sure it’s still here. Time to go block yet another email address

Changed without warning

I downloaded UnitedHealthcare about a year ago. As far as UnitedHealthcare itself is concerned, I was pleased with it. I didn’t need it for a while until today; when I tried to log in to resolve an insurance mixup, I was denied entry. After spending some time checking my email and password, I came to UnitedHealthcare Store to see if I could get some info here. That’s when I learned that some time during the interim the UHC app was no longer usable by AARP Medicare Advantage/UHC customers. I will be deleting UnitedHealthcare - why should I keep something I can’t use? - and I understand UHC has the right to simplify things on their end, but it would have been nice to have received some warning of the change BEFORE I had to use it. UnitedHealthcare itself gets five stars; the lack of communication dropped it to three.

Terrible

No customer service. I needed help with UnitedHealthcare as it didn’t work with my iphone. I called the technical assistance number and got a person who only does commercial UHC, however she sent me to someone who “could help me”. That person asked me several questions and had me repeat the same actions I had just done and declared my phone incompatible with UnitedHealthcare. Interesting, since my wife had just downloaded the same app on her identical ios phone with no problem. ( no problem getting into the web site on the laptop).
Then he said he’d get someone who knew UnitedHealthcare “really well”. Isn’t that why I was connected to him in the first place? Should I ask for the janitor next? I hung up after receiving NOTHING from UHC after almost 1.5 hours on the phone. I did receive many insincere ear massage apologies though.

First time user

I used the UHC APP to check on my claims. I have been to the hospital due to COVID19 and was very ill so I just want to make sure that all the Dr’s (heroes for me) that took care of me get paid. When checking the claims see the pulmonologist & ambulance didn’t get paid. Right on UnitedHealthcare have choices to take care the claims , for me I like to speak with someone not a machine so you can request a call right away or you have the choice for UHC to call you back. That is a nice figure to have I tried out, requested a representative spoke with then and got both of the claims fix. I recommend the UHC app.

Thanks you

Great App

This is a great app. It makes things so much easier. You can access your is card. UnitedHealthcare provides you your recent EOB’s as well as your deductible amount and how much money has been applied toward it based on your medical visits.

The best thing about UnitedHealthcare is you can search for a specific procedure. This allows you to view the doctors in the area you live or nearby. You see the doctors name as well as reviews. It will show you what the doctor charges and gives a detailed breakdown of what you will pay out of pocket with explanations. You can use this to “shop” different doctors for a lower cost.
Excellent app.

Clarity in medical insurance? It’s true!!

Wow! UnitedHealthcare actually gives a clear representation of my insurance plan, deductibles, co-pays, and what has already been charged to those areas. Don't expect another low-tech, non functioning med insurance app. My experience is that I have direct information, updated within a few days to a week of service. Also like the in-network doctor near me finder. I have three children, ages 5 and younger, and we like to travel. Knowing that I can find a close-by in-network provider for the inevitable sniffles, bug bites, and upset stomachs that come with traveling with children, is peace of mind!

Sick 6 months old

(This is his wife writing this review)

So we just used the call a nurse 24hrs and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. She was so nice, helpful, answered all of our questions and even the ones we didn’t ask. She also told us about another option that they offer and where to look for it on the website to see if that will help us as well.

Oh.. and when we put in to talk to a nurse I don’t think we even closed UnitedHealthcare fully before my cell phone was ringing. Great turnaround and awesome nurse. I will definitely use this again whenever someone is sick again.

So Easy To Submit A Claim, but...

Submitting a claim has never been easier! However, after I took photos of the required documents and submitted the claim I realized I entered the incorrect date and I couldn’t find a way to go back to make this change after submitting the claim. Now I need to make a phone call during normal business hours. It would be nice if I could go back to see what I submitted and make that simple correction but I don’t think that’s possible. Complications resulted from user error. Aside from that it gets 5 stars.

My primary insurance! Secondary insurance is through mail handler‘s benefit plan

I’m very thankful to be one of the few that are covered with dual insurance is having this has made my life and choosing to go to the doctor much easier! Are used to fear about not having money to pay for all the bills to find out that you have kidney disease, carpal tunnel in both wrists, And sleep apnea. There a Tonna test they have to be done from watching your blood pressure and checking your cholesterol to seeing how many white blood cell count you have. Thank you for being with me in the beginning of this progress!

You need to update your site

I have had issues with some of the providers you have on your site under this plan. I have found addresses and phone numbers to not only be incorrect but also belonging to completely different businesses. I have provided this information to your representatives but have seen no changes. I have been looking for a counselor and not a single one on your site has returned my calls, or the phone/address on your site is completely wrong. You need to fix this. It makes looking for a provider super difficult. I am considering switching plans at the end of this year.

Simple

UnitedHealthcare is so easy to use. It shows all you need to know about those providers around you. It has ratings by them, how close they are, what services they render, on top of that how much you will be spending! It’s awesome because then for those that are out you can know what to expect when you get there.

Reviews on UnitedHealthcare are weird because it shows the ratings per provider but they don’t show what their patients are saying. However, I am unsure if it’s for HIPAA compliance. I mean I would like to see what people are saying to really know whether to go there or not.

Instant assistance

This is the best kept secret of UHC. Previously I used Anthem BCBS app and it was 1 star compared to UnitedHealthcare. It loads your ID card so when you need to show it/ you have it handy— because who wouldn’t have their phone with them?! AND— you have instant access to processed claims that you can filter to find what you are looking for. AND. THE. BEST. KEPT. SECRET: they have a prompt where you can request to talk to a UHC rep and because they have all your information loaded— THEY CALL YOU. No hoops to jump through to talk to a human being who is not foreign and easy to understand.. no waiting on hold either. I like easy😊.

Amazing!

I can view claims, show my insurance card, look up doctors in my area by name or by condition of health ailments! If I’m unsure of a doctor to see due to a new condition UnitedHealthcare can show me in 2 seconds all my options for my area, used to take me 10 minutes at least or I’d have to schedule with a mystery doctor based off their practice alone. It also has a health checklist so that I know what I’m staying on top of and what I’m not, so I don’t have to guess or try to figure out via the clinic if I need a immunization or a test/screening done. This is great!

Good App but not Great for Families

Most of UnitedHealthcare works very well technically but has a fundamental flaw for families. UnitedHealthcare will only allow the primary to see information related to the dependents or the HSA balance. In our case, my wife handles most of our children’s healthcare needs but because she is not the primary she can’t see any information related to them through UnitedHealthcare nor can she see the HSA balance when she is the one primarily using the account. We understand the need for privacy but there should be a way to join the accounts after giving permissions (there’s not - we called). So UnitedHealthcare is great for single people but useless for administration of family plans.

Love the ease

UnitedHealthcare is so easy to use. I love that I can check which doctors and facilities are in or out of network. I’m very happy with how fast claims show up and all the information that accompanies each claim. I would definitely get UnitedHealthcare if you have UH. Of course you cannot see everything such as your deductible/OOP/copays but I know what they are anyway so it’s not a big deal to me. Having your card available all the time is a big bonus especially if your traveling or have a last minute emergency.

By

Very convenient

If you need help or have questions that need to be answer you have your nurse and a doctor just a phone/app call away... instead of waiting close to a month for an appointment or having to wait for hours or pay high cost for ER visits and have to make runs to your local pharmacy, everything is done by a click and best part at your privacy of your own home/space.... Have been using it twice so far and I well recommend this... please give it a try

Super easy to access my healthcare info!

I love UnitedHealthcare! Never have I been able to do so much with an app. I love that I can find doctors quickly, seek out information about providers, find all the contact info and even speak to someone at United Healthcare via phone or video chat outside of my doctors regular office hours if I have a concern. I love the accurate, to the minute information about the funds in my accounts and what I’ve spent/ what is left. UnitedHealthcare makes finding the help I need very easy.

By

So convenient!

I use this regularly to check on claims or find a Dr near me. UnitedHealthcare shows me who’s in my network and who’s available. I can go check my claims to see what’s been processed and what I owe. If you have UHC i highly recommend UnitedHealthcare because it will make everything so much easier. You don’t have to worry about having a current card on hand because it’s in UnitedHealthcare !

By

Very helpful and easy to navigate

I like UnitedHealthcare. It helps me keep up with my billing. The only one thing I’ve noticed is going from my desktop to UnitedHealthcare my paid items that I checked do not change over when I mark them. Kind of a problem if your trying to remember and can’t get to your desktop. Other than that, I was able to update my primary care doctor and check in on my claims against my insurance. I noticed Labcorp doesn’t comply with the payment feature so I’ll have to contact them directly.

Horrible, to the surprise of no one

UHC made $11 billion in net income last year yet their new iPhone app doesn’t include the basic ability to read your own messages! I got an email saying they finally replied to one of my many questions and decided to download UnitedHealthcare , hoping it would be easier the horrid site. UnitedHealthcare is fine but where are my messages?? It doesn’t include the ability to even read them. Also it asks for your location and then immediately sends it to Foursquare. What about my HIPPA rights? More reprehensible service. Everyone working at this company “making the trains run on time” should be ashamed at their participation in profiting off the death and misery foisted upon Americans for profit.
