Cleaner for IG Reviews

I needed to clean out some followers who weren’t interacting with my posts (inactive users). About 3k of them. It takes forever to select all the users (Cleaner has to “think” for a good 30 minutes or so to go through each account and see if they were active and i have a lot of followers). I had it saved to the local queue and then set Night Mode on and did that for a few nights. It seemed to be working fine. For three nights I would reduce my followers by approx 200 or so.

Then one night it came back with an error. I tried again. Exited Cleaner . Turned my phone off and on. Restarted Cleaner . Loaded all the users again. Selected all the inactive followers again. Waited. Added to local queue. Night mode. Pressed start. Error again.

Then I looked on my IG and it wouldn’t load new posts, which got me worried. So I looked online and figured maybe I had just hit my limit of block/unblocks and should cool it for a few days so I didn’t go onto the this app app for a few days. IG went back to normal within a few hours.

Just tried to do it all again and got the same error and IG is acting all wonky again not loading new stuff, like it has me on time-out, and I didn’t even get to do ONE SINGLE block/unblock from my queue so there’s no way I hit the limit for that.

Tried contacting customer service (as i paid for the upgraded version) but did not get any help. I want this thing to work or I want my money back!

I downloaded and paid for Cleaner hoping that it will help me get rid of some of my ghost followers. I have 27k and Cleaner makes it incredibly difficult to reach your earliest followers. You have to load your users manually (takes 20-30) and only loads about 200 users at a time. You have to babysit and keep loading through Cleaner to get to the bottom, which is usually where a lot of the inactive users lie. If you leave your phone and it goes to sleep, if you leave Cleaner , or basically if anything else happens then you have to START ALL OVER and load from the beginning. I have never been able to make it to the bottom without one of these things happening and then I have to start all over again on loading users. They need to show your users from oldest to newest, not newest to oldest. If you don’t have so many followers to load, then Cleaner would work wonders for you, but if you have a lot of followers, Cleaner is a nightmare.

Kinda sad I wasted money on Cleaner - it is absolutely loaded with bugs and glitches. At first seemed great but after any large action requiring any processing power (unfollowing 200 ish people) Cleaner ceases to work. When I try to load Cleaner after doing large actions none of my followers or followees load. I am just stuck staring at an endlessly refreshing "processing" loading bar. Any actions I attempt to perform at this time completely do not happen. An example, I just tried to add a selection of people to my white list and it did not remove them from the main list. I tried this several times to no avail. Every function in Cleaner becomes unusable after a large action. To fix this, I have to delete and re install Cleaner . Glad to know that these app developers are wasting their customers time and money. Do not waste your money.

now I can’t log in anymore. I wanted to unfollow inactive, ghost, and users without profile pics at the least. I follow too many ppl, this wasn’t a spam attempt. Yet now they repeatedly make me “verify” and then still don’t let me in after I do...it’s sooo annoying and I remember having about 200 accounts in my queue that I wanted to unfollow. I also paid about $10 to do that & it only lasted less than 24 hrs before it stopped working. Just bc u download it for free does not mean it does anything and once you pay they kick you out almost immediately!!! I’m done trying. I’ll do it manually or I’ll find a way better app—THAT can’t be hard! Plus the amount of time it took too load, it shouldn’t even cost you money. I want all my money back! If it can’t even let me do a simple thing as log in after I verified over 10 times, then how do I trust it can detect inactive, ghost, or users without profile pics...

The functionality of Cleaner is superb, however, the developers really need to make adjustments considering Instagrams new 3rd Party policy. When Cleaner works it functions as it should but recently, it will not unfollow, stating “Cloud error: Instagram sent a spam warning for your account. Cool down started”. I have received this message 6 days in a row even after unfollowing just 20 accounts on the low end. this app needs to make adjustments because this is quite annoying. Because of mass unfollowing, this alerts Instagram of bot-like behavior, causing Instagram to block your account temporarily. If you receive the block from Instagram called “Action Blocked”, it can pause manual liking and following from your account. This is primarily due to the IP address detected from this app and the mass unfollowing method. this app will continue to get bad ratings if this isn’t resolved.

First, you have to understand how Instagram works. You can’t mass unfollow all users at once without Instagram flagging your account. I bought this (upgrade) because of the features.

It allows you to unfollow up to 50 people at first but, that’s too fast for Instagram. I like how it allowed you unfollow 1 user every 90 seconds so you fly under the radar. You have to run their night time screen saver for the actions to take place.

You can select accounts that you follow or accounts who don’t follow back etc. it allows you to pick your actions and place them in either a local que or “the cloud que”. Cleaner once you actually run it will only remove maybe 3 people before it starts saying “error”

No matter how long I let it run or how many days (up to 3 days) I go without using Cleaner so the “cool down mode” can run it course. Within 5 minutes of running Cleaner and no matter of how slow you try running it, it won’t work!!!

Don’t waste your money. I understand the concept of Instagram and it should be running fine but, it won’t. The platform is good but worthless if it won’t do the job. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Don’t fall for a “mass unfollow app” either or you’ll get flagged.

This is the only app I have ever left a review for. It sometimes work and sometimes doesn't. The cloud and local queue never work, even if you pay for the upgrade. I have had thousands of followers I want removed sitting in both queues since I downloaded Cleaner weeks ago. You can only successfully block or unblock/block followers in small groups. You can't select 100 or more followers at once or Instagram blocks your action. I've found that you can successfully remove followers without being blocked by Instagram's spam sensor by doing groups of 20-30 people at once.

Cleaner is misleading making you think the cloud and local queues work. It is also misleading making the user believe if they let their account "cool down" for a day or two, that'll it'll work again. This is true to some extent, but you still can't mass unfollow people like it advertises. You also can't "submit a request", which I find interesting to say the least...

If you have under 10,000 followers then Cleaner isn’t too bad if you want to get rid of ghost followers but honestly it still needs so much work. I bought the $2.99 PRO version and you will have to babysit Cleaner the entire time and hope it doesn’t crash or that your phone restarts. You can only block and/or unfollow 81 followers at a time and then you have to wait 10-15 minutes until doing so again. Meaning you’ll spend days trying to get rid of 8,000 followers. Cleaner desperately needs a newest or oldest filter to categorize the followers so we don’t spend hours scrolling to the bottom where your ghost followers are. It’s a decent app, not good or great but alright-ish.

I have two factor authentication on (which Cleaner actually no longer allows), and went through so much changing passwords to emails, Facebook, insta, etc, because so many times my account was being accessed by unfamiliar devices. I realized that the common denominator seems to be Cleaner. I have a service that sends me an alert that comes up whenever my password is leaked, and every time I login to Cleaner I have noticed it gets leaked again.

Cleaner itself is good. Sometimes it would stop working, but it did help me get rid of a lot of ghost followers. Use with caution. I don’t want to blame Cleaner completely because I don’t know for sure, but be aware.

If you only need to delete 50 pictures, unfollow 50 people or block 50 people. Or a mixture only allowing 50 “actions” then I’d say this is the best app for what you need. Otherwise, if you’re like me and are trying to delete 13k posts; it’s ok, I don’t like how it costs. But I mean what do you expect. But this is by far the cheapest and simplest app to help delete posts and such so far. There’s a “night mode” where you can leave it going over night, you just need to keep it plugged in and your phone needs to be open/unlocked. You can still go on other apps while night mode is running you just can’t turn off the phone and lock it.

Lots of options for scheduling actions to prevent getting a hold out on your Instagram account. My only complaint was having to purchase the pro version BEFORE you can purchase the cloud version, I understand it is probably a good structure so that people can upgrade from the pro version without paying too much, but would have liked to know that up front. Overall it works, and works well. I purchased the pro version for $2.99 and I definitely recommend it.

Overall Cleaner can be tedious having to go back and load up every user just to unfollow them every hour, but that extra $8 makes it a lot easier to manage it. I bought the upgrade on an impulse and I’m not regretting it. It will take your unfollow queue and load it to “the cloud” where it will automatically unfollow the users you selected every hour until the queue is finished. Overall can be helpful but annoying with the standard version, but extremely handy spending that extra $8 for the cloud upgrade. Not to mention I like how it has the restriction against going over the hourly limit so instagram won’t shadow ban you (standard and upgraded version both). I would recommend.

I downloaded ths app because I have a mutual block with someone and wanted to remove the block from my end. When I have tried to login into instagram with Cleaner, it says that I need to authenticate with my ibsta profile. Goood, a page opens in Safari and I am trying to login, but the login attempt fails (even after I choose the option of receiving a confirmation sms). I’ve tried to login with my Wifi or cellular data, but no success. I don’t know why it doesn’t work for me. Maybe the developer can fix this bug or tell us what should we do in this case

I'm not sure what some people are talking about on here, that Cleaner is difficult or faulty in someway. I have been through at LEAST 10 different apps trying to find one that wasn't totally scammy and ridiculously un-useful. I finally through MUCH research found this one and have never looked back. We currently have 23.7 thousand followers and it does everything from unfollowing ghost followers to helping you create a white list to save friends from getting unfollowed while you clean. In my opinion, this is the ONLY app to use and trust with your account.

I bought Cleaner inspire of quite a few negative reviews, and I am glad I did... I have a business and needed to clean out a few unfollowers. I upgraded to pro and got the cloud upgrade with no problem and within one day had my account completely cleaned up. I am not a paid reviewer I’m just a happy user that thinks that the negative reviews are unfair to the product. It’s a well thought out app with lots of great features. I can only guess the negative reviews are from people that like free stuff and think it should do everything for free... grow up!
