Website seems more robust than app ironically. Website includes some good info on lots of hikes but app seems focused on short term rentals.

Was saddened to read mission statement on website exposing race as main focus of company mission and implying cis white is bad. Wish outdoors was just for anyone who wants to be outdoors not race based.

The this app used to be a great app for finding awesome adventures that are off the radar. It was my go-to for weekend hikes or destination backpacking trips. User-curated activities. beautiful photos. Great descriptions that had character and heart and represented the passion of a true outdoors enthusiast.

Now it’s basically a less robust version of Alltrails.

I’ve tried a lot of outdoor apps, but this app is by far the best. It’s so much more than just a trail guide—it’s a full adventure planner! I’ve used it to find incredible camping sites, waterfalls, and the best scenic drives. The detailed reviews and photos from other users are so helpful, and the map feature is spot on. I love how it turns “getting outside” into an accessible, fun experience for everyone. Highly recommend!

New interface is smooth and fast. With the addition of gpx tracks, Outbound not only helps find new stuff to do, but helps me stay on track while doing it. My all-in-one fav for adventure discovery and exploration.

Outbound is great for anyone wanting to get outdoors! It doesn’t have just hiking trails but other outdoor activities too. It’s been great for finding ideas for things to do with my toddler.

the this app has great content to get off the beaten path, I’ve found watering holes in Colombia and hog trails in Kauai. great content, just hope everyone that is using remember to respect the land and lnt!

So fun! Been using Outbound for a while but loving the new revamp of it! The new look and feel is fun and easy to get around. The downloadable gpx is pretty awesome. Been really sweet to explore snowboarding zones and checking out swimming holes in the summer.

I love Outbound! It feels really smooth and I love using it to find my favorite hikes and trails and I save them to lists so I can remember them. It’s fun to track my levels too. The design is very friendly and enjoyable.

If you’re looking to get out in nature a little more and not have to road trip to get there, look no further! This is an awesome app that helps you find local adventures that are very close.

I found Outbound and used it yesterday and overall it is a great app. It did a super job of keeping me on trail and finding the trail head. When I went to submit a review of the trail it let me put in a heading but it wouldn’t pull up a keyboard for a review so I couldn’t leave the review. Same problem with the picture I wanted to insert. I could put in a picture and not a review. Other than that it is a fabulous app

Have been a fan of Outbound for a long time - great for discovering more under the radar adventures, but often lacked in utility. This new update is a MASSIVE upgrade. Can now do everything I do on other trail and GPS hiking apps, and I can find campsites, swimming holes, etc. Pretty great and love the experience.

It took a minute to search for trails other than in your local area but once you out in a trip you see every trail on your route.
I enjoy the altitude map as you explore the trail you are looking at.
It gives you a perspective of the difficulty.
I am enjoying Outbound very much!

Outbound has been a game changer for us! No more heading into hikes blindly. it provides all the essential trail info we need, making every adventure smoother and more enjoyable. It’s especially helpful when hiking with kids, giving us the details we need to be fully prepared for a safe and fun experience.

I needed an app with offline trail maps and The this app seemed okay. The trail/topo accuracy is great and works very well. If you’re in a marginal data area, put your phone into airplane mode to force the launch of the offline maps (Outbound keeps trying to connect if it sees a signal).

Outbound has had incredible upgrades. There are a ton of downloadable trails with tracking, awesome camping spots and many other outdoor adventures to explore in your area or when planning a trip. The reviews and photos from other adventurers are so helpful and since it’s fun and easy to use - it has become my go to app for outdoor exploration.

I like the changes especially the addition of lodging. The offline maps are a tremendous addition as many areas do not have cell reception. I am looking forward to trying the new features and watch for updates as we plan a return to travel. Great job and appreciate the forward thinking by the this app team!

i use Outbound often—when i’m trying to find details on an adventure i’m already planning on going to.... or when i’m at home, wanting to get out & do something, but not quite sure what’s around. it’s really helped me get to know the area around my new city! i really like the “offline” feature, which is obviously ideal for when you’re in an area without service (which is often for me). i also have my “to-do” lists for different parts of my new state. the filters on the previous version i felt were hard to use, but the newer version works better. i also am interested in trying the new lodging feature! keep up the good work!
