YUNMAI has a simple job, to record the measurement of a scale. YUNMAI fails to transfer data to Apple health correctly and there is no way in YUNMAI to make a graph of your weight versus time in YUNMAI . You can only plot weight versus measurement number, so if you measure frequently during on... Show more e month and less frequently the next you only end up seeing the month in which you measured frequently. Also there is “athlete mode” which tweaks the algorithm in some undescribed manner. If you want to record your weight, YUNMAI is not for you.

I’ve been using the scale and software for over 2 1/2 years. I had no complaints at all until they did the latest software update. Why fix what was not broken??? The last software was great. Can I go back to it? I hate this software so much I am considering getting a different manufacturer’s scale.... I have to get back on the scale again and hope that I can get it to read this time. I never had these problems with the other software. Don’t buy the scale!

Was a great app but after the latest update, it quit working. I said that I need to log into my .account but will not accept my password. I tried to create an account but I already had one. There is no button to reset my password. I tried to get help using the link provided for YUNMAI in YUNMAI S... Show more tore but the page does not exist. So now I have an expensive scale that cannot communicates with my phone.

I just read the new privacy policy. It is not very clear because it is written in incorrect english so it is not clear what they really mean. I am planning to get a different scale now and cannot in good conscience sell this scale to someone else at any price. Planning to put the scale on my driveway, cover it with a piece of cardboard and run over it several times with my car so that the scale will work as good as YUNMAI .

I used a non email address to create my account. YUNMAI updated automatically to version 3 and wants me to login. I don’t remember my password and the email account is not a real email. So all of my data from the last 3 years is gone. Thanks this app for forcing a login. No way to go back to ... Show more the previous version to fix my account so that this doesn’t happen. No warning. Thanks. Now I have to start over. Might as well start over with a new scale and vendor. All so you could add a smart jump rope.

The latest this app update is a train wreck. Not only did it forget my login information but it made it difficult to re-enter my password and user ID. Further, after I finally got YUNMAI to allow me to change my password, the system will not allow me to login but times out my request to login EVE... Show more RY time! It’s as if the this app server is offline. Additionally, since I’m not able to log into the system, the electronic scales have defaulted to reporting my weight on the scales in kilograms rather than in pounds. That means I have to do a manual conversion on a calculator to figure out what my weight is in pounds. And since I’m not able to log onto the this app server, my scales won’t communicate via Bluetooth with my iPhone or iPad. It’s a mess. DO NOT UPDATE your app until they fix this mess.

I loved this scale and app before the update to YUNMAI. Why change something that was working great. Now it is not syncing with the scale properly. YUNMAI is recording the wrong weight. Also, I do not like all the extra stats on the main screen. When I step on the scale I want to see my weight with the change. All the other stats are great to have, just not immediately when you step on the scale as the change in weight is harder to see. Basically it tracks your weight day to day. Like a simple scale. It gives you point in time readings like skeletal muscle but it doesn’t tell you what your ideal range should be & there is no graph or historical tracking. I’m very disappointed to pay so much for a scale that isn’t tracking my progress as promised.

Where are the developers?
Many users have complained that YUNMAI does not track body fat, muscle mass, BMI, etc.
You get a one day reading and that’s it! The entire purpose of this scale is to track progress of more than weight. Hey this app it’s 2021 and people understand health is about more than weight!!

I’m working with a trainer and there is no way on YUNMAI for me to track my progress on decreasing body fat & increasing muscle mass.

Developers, the fix is easy! Just have YUNMAI track day to day the readings in graph form of every indicator the scale measures.

So far this scale & App are a waste of money if there is no way to track your data.

With the new update, I need to register for an account to connect YUNMAI to my scale. So by updating, I lost features. An account was never required before. I would like to return my scale since you have made it less useful.

Second edit: Poor reviews have brought it down to fewer than 2.5 stars. Obviously the customers are not happy. It's unfortunate that most people probably won't look for YUNMAI until after they buy the scale, but if you are looking at this before, don't buy a this app product. By updating YUNMAI , they took away functionality that I had already paid for. Basically, they stole from me.

App is buggy and does not have an easy way to transfer stored weights. It has a button to “manage storage” but when pressed it appears to simply delete all saved (non synched) weights without warning! Don’t buy if you want to be able to keep an accurate account of your weights over time.

... Show more Updated: After more investigating it has become clear that YUNMAI can only be used on one device. If it is on multiple devices the scale will upload the weights indiscriminately between the two devices and user profiles making the records incomplete on any device and a mixture of weights between people. This makes following trends over time totally useless.

After updating YUNMAI a login is now required. The is no privacy disclosure given. After creating an account with a fictitious email i found that all of my data had been erased. 2 years of progress tracking gone. A lot of the progress tracking graphs have also been removed.

Show more ooks way worse, apparently either deletes your data periodically, or requires you allow them to keep your data on their servers... this is a bathroom scale, I don’t need it to have access to the internet. Terrible company, i will not buy any of their products in the future.

They changed YUNMAI to now require creating a login, with nothing to indicate what data will be recorded remotely. I am very unhappy about this change since I don’t want to share my data indiscriminately and there is no way to access information other than weight on the scale without YUNMAI .

I give two stars because I enjoyed using YUNMAI before without the required login. I hope the developer change back the login requirement.

I really hate the new update! I loved the old one. I could tell instantly by seeing the green arrow if I was down and scroll through the different charts. YUNMAI auto updated and got rid of weight data I had been saving from the last 4 years. It also required me to register an account with personal info they couldn’t possibly need. I purchased a new scale that was supposed to be compatible with my former scale’s app, but I ended up having to d/l YUNMAI instead. I don’t hold that against the developer or manufacturer- that said...

While YUNMAI it tracks all the same data points as my old app, it only graphs weight and... Show more body fat making it impossible to visualize trends. YUNMAI does provide a comprehensive breakdown, but each data point is a line item and is rolled up into each individual measurement.

Super frustrating and annoying to have to open YUNMAI super fast, step on my scale and hope it connects in time, and then record my data that way. Still works, just can’t see anything in YUNMAI with the stupid pop up.

Love YUNMAI and my this app scale. I like the graph feature on YUNMAI , really helps visualize long term weight loss. Show more es I’m 10 minutes into a shower and look over to see my phone screen still lit up with my weight displayed. Wish it would time out like other apps after a minute or two.

This generally works pretty well and quick to record and transfer the data to my iPhone. The key is to wet my feet first ahead of time. But in general with the price for the smart scale and the easy of use of YUNMAI , I’m pretty happy with it.

I have used several iterations if the this app scale over the years. In my experience, they just keep getting better and better! The software isn’t perfect, and the scale isn’t something you would bring with you to the lab everyday if you were a nuclear scientist (WAY to big for measuring atoms, f... Show more or starters...), but it is consistent. I have found it to be the best product anywhere near this price point for doing all that it does, which is a lot! I have recommended it over the years to several different people, and they have all been happy. Consistency is the most important thing- with any scale. Place it in the same place every Time you use it. Make sure it’s on even ground. Wear the same outfit every time you use it, be it a suit (your birthday suit is the best suit for this type of thing), dress, Pj’s, whatever- just keep it the same articles. A little moisture on the bottom of bare feet helps a lot with the natural current you produce being read by the scale to in order to give you the extra details like body-fat/water, so after a shower doesn’t hurt. My only request to the developer(s) is please keep developing developing developing!

YUNMAI is awesome. I enjoy the alarm feature and the weight goal feature but YUNMAI has also taught me that the weight goal doesn’t matter when you’re wanting to lose body fat and gain muscle mass. You can’t beat the price, for sure, and it tracks everything better than the pricey apps. The scale is absolutely awesome. I bought it in December 2016 (it's now Oct 2019), use it about 3 times a week, and so far have only replaced the batteries one time.

Unlike the WAY more expensive Tanit... Show more a that it replaced, it shows the same weight when you step off & step right back on. Three steps off the Tanita would give me three different weights. The this app scale cannot be tricked like that.

Sometimes you have to turn the Bluetooth off and on once to get it to connect, but seriously, this scale is perfect. I love it.

In the privacy details it says your health data is collected and linked to your identity.

If app review means anything, they should require these developers to allow people to not have an account, and in its current form (requiring health data to be shared, and tied to you, for no benefit t... Show more owards you) shouldn’t be allowed on YUNMAI Store.

YUNMAI update has bricked my physical hardware I bought for the express purpose of feeding private health data to my apple health app, and ONLY my apple health app. I explicitly do not want to be pressured into sharing my health data with a Chinese company tied to my identity.

Got the new update and been messaging for a week to find out what the 73Score means at the top of the app. Please tell me it’s driving me nuts not knowing
