Huge problem with this app

I don’t understand, why I get emails on a computer. And it tells me to download Toluna. This does not work at all. I’ve tried it several times, and it says Toluna has not been set up yet. So I believe half these other people that this is false. Only one person says it’s OK if there’s one person saying it’s OK they must be having a better blessing than all of us. Which means it’s working for that person only. So you know what I’m not going to download Toluna at all matter fact I have it in my emails at the library, and I’m dead and I’m going to opt out of that one as well. Because it won’t let me do any surveys. I thought it was going to work for me. But it does not this is from JJ. So until you get Toluna fixed I’m deleting it out of my Surveys. And I’m not gonna put it on my phone no more. I believe this is false. But if it wasn’t I’d use it. So until then Toluna is going bye-bye I’m deleting it I’m not going to think of it. I do other surveys on other apps and it works wonderful. This is JJ

Many surveys not optimized for mobile

Many of the surveys do not display correctly and are difficult to complete simply because they were written with only a desktop computer in mind - not a tablet or smart phone. Some surveys ask you to rotate device for landscape view but app does not currently support rotation. Some surveys will simply reject your opinion simply because of using a mobile or iOS device. And some surveys are bugged - after many questions, you cannot complete the survey due to some mistake in how the survey was coded by the writer!

So I often feel like I am just wasting my time with this when I could be doing something more productive...

Not Worth the Time

The larger surveys that give you the list points are virtually impossible to access due to technical errors. To me, this was okay because of the smaller surveys which give you 15 points if they are sponsored. However, there are very few sponsored ones (except on the first day you use Toluna ), and since it costs 3000 points to get $1 (never mind the fact that you have to cash in in $10 or $50 increments), it would take years to just earn a small gift card.

Shady

I’ve had Toluna about a month and a half - overwhelming amount of notification emails explaining high -point surveys availabile. After 10 to 15 minutes of qualification questions- which pertain to the particular survey- I’ve qualified for 2. But Apparently the pre-screen questions are tracked and shared amongst marketing departments because as No points are awarded for the qualification questions and/or time involved, your emails and text zzz messages begin to mysteriously fill up with ads and solicitations. The overall evaluation promises that, at the very least, you will provide-(for free)- your demographic consumer information while being a huge waste of time.
It seems like an obvious fix would be to have each persons main stats I.e. age, gender, location, etc. attached to their profile to be pre-screened and properly matched before sending an email.
To sum it up: Surveys, in general are a bad idea. Unless you can get compensation before you answer the first question, it’s not going to ever be worth it.

SCAM - don’t waste your time

They will have you spend 20+ minutes filling out a very detailed survey and THEN say you didn’t qualify or the survey is full. This is fraud. It should never take more than a couple minutes to screen someone out of a survey. They are stealing your time and collecting data for free. When I inquired about this issue, they audaciously suggested that I am to blame when it happens because either I was cheating or I wasn’t focused on the survey. B.S. I have never experienced anything like this on any of the legitimate survey sites I use.

Can’t log in

I’d give Toluna 5 stars if they would let me log in. I’ve tried about a dozen times today and it won’t let me. I tried to reset my password 10 times and I have received no email. I’d like to use Toluna , but I have not heard back from their “support” team. I even tried making a new account t and it said that my account could not be created. Guys... if you would just make it more user friendly to log in, reset password, and even talk a little bit with your fans, you’d be getting different reviews...

Do not download

The this app experience is probably better on the web, but Toluna is probably the worst app I’ve downloaded. Doesn’t ever open, it freezes on any survey worth more than 15 points, and if you manage to open the survey worth more than 15, it’ll probably go until the end and then give an error message like it did for me every...single...time. I read reviews from a year ago saying it sucked maybe they’ll fix it... well here’s your update: they haven’t! I would rate this less than 1 star if I could.
UPDATE: this app won’t even let me login to cancel my account! Fantastic...

Poor customer service

I downloaded Toluna , started doing surveys, was prompted to verify my email, which I did, but then Toluna wouldn’t let me log back in. I did the “forgot password” option but was not sent anything by email so I contacted customer service. They told me my account had been flagged, deactivated, goodbye! What kind of customer service is that? I have no idea what I supposedly did wrong and after reading several other poor reviews with the exact same issue, maybe this company needs to flag itself!

Can't do any surveys!

I downloaded Toluna about a week ago. At first I did a few surveys and it was fine. Then some of them started freezing up on me and when I tried to go back in, I would get error messages that say "You have reached this page in error". It was annoying but slightly tolerable because some surveys were still working. But ever since yesterday EVERY SINGLE SURVEY I try to take freezes (usually shortly after I fill out the qualification questions and am told I qualify) and WILL NOT let me back in. I just keep getting that same error message. Yes, this is every survey doing it now so this app is now essentially useless to me. If this isn't fixed in the next few days Toluna is going bye bye.

Whatever you do, do NOT download

Do NOT download Toluna. I signed up, did one survey, and then it kicked me out and wouldn’t allow me to login. It was clearly a glitch with Toluna . Not a big deal. However, when I emailed them about the issue they accused me of being fake (all of the information I gave them was my real information) and didn’t address the glitches in their system at all. I responded that I gave them accurate information and why would their system not allow me to login. (It still says I have an account. I forgot my password and it won’t send a reset...that was the glitch). Their responses make no sense and have been very sketchy. Don’t waste your time with these people.

Can’t log in

Signed up and started doing surveys and then all of a sudden it froze up. I closed Toluna and tried to log back in but said my login credentials were invalid. I tried doing the “forgot password” and it said it would email me within a few minutes but never did. I tried having it send me an email about five different times but still didn’t get anything. Not in my junk mail folder either. Tried signing up for an account again but says the email address I used is already used. Thought maybe my account had been deleted on accident or something. Apparently not. They have my login credentials but won’t email me. Maybe it’s a scam to get email addresses? What garbage.

Frustrating app

After I got around 1,500 points it stopped giving me points for the stuff I do. I actually did quite a few without my points going up not realizing it. Idk why it’s not giving me points for anything. None of the polls type things or the surveys. Not to mention the fact that when you take a survey you will answer so many questions that’s not even the survey and then they take you to the survey. They sometimes ask the same exact questions that were before the survey then they tell you that you do not qualify for the survey

Surveys are frustrating

I used Toluna once before and I’m quickly remembering why I deleted it! Surveys often don’t load and when they do they’re no longer available. I understand that there can be pre-screening and the reason why but it’s ridiculous. I almost never qualify. Some of the pre-screening takes forever only to find out you don’t qualify. I spent at least 10 minutes the other day thinking I was actually doing the survey. I answered a lot of very detailed questions and was very upset to find out I didn’t qualify. That’s a lot of time wasted for nothing. It will take forever to accumulate enough points to get rewarded. I joined because I heard they offer product testing n videos. I have yet to see any of that. Often when I do the quick 15 point questions my points don’t add on. I want to like Toluna but I just don’t...

App is buggy and points are awarded sporadically

I have been using Toluna for about a year and at least several times a day I have to turn the VPN off and on to get it working again.

It never tells me it’s not working but I can’t connect. Also it seems every time a new iOS update is available it breaks and I have to uninstall and reinstall to fix it.

Points say you’ll receive them after 48 hours but it’s actually months. Their support is horrendous and rather then provide actual help they accuse you of trying to get something for free. When it works it’s great but unfortunately that’s maybe 20-30% of the time.

Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't

I am a big fan of this app. I have used the website for a couple weeks and have received over $20 in gift cards. I downloaded Toluna because I would get an additional 500 points per survey. Toluna works sometimes, but other times it completely freezes and I can't use it! Hopefully the issue will be fixed soon

Sometimes freezes at inopportune moments

The this app app used to work just fine for me, and in most cases it still does. Every now and again, though, I’ll be in the middle or near the end of a survey in Toluna and it freezes, which means I can’t finish the survey and get credit. It’s pretty obnoxious and maybe I just need to do the surveys in my mobile browser instead, but I shouldn’t have to do that- Toluna should work and not freeze me out. Oh well

Extra money

I've used this site for several years and enjoy the extra money I get. There are occasional problems but overall it has worked well for me.

Where’s the add-on?

Hello there. I’ve had Toluna loaded into my iPhone for quite a while now, certainly over a year. But I haven’t been receiving those 9000 bonus I’m supposed to be getting every month.

I did my part and installed your app, but I’m not seeing these magical 9000 points a month th hat I should be getting.

It’s possible that I did something wrong I guess. But if that were the case, why didn’t someone reach out and let me know. To this day, I’m still not sure what the “add-on” was. It never materialized.

So please, either help me get this set up right, or tell me I got screwed and I’ll delete and never look back. Either way, you guys owe me a butt-load of points!!

Toluna

I really enjoying doing the surveys and polls. I will have problems a few times but it will normally straighten out. I just feel a few times I was almost done with the survey and it got stuck that I missed out on my points because of that. The only thing you can do when it does that is get out of Toluna . Over all it is a great website.

Point deduction

Until yesterday thought this was good survey company. However after using for years I learned that the will deduct points from your account and not send you any type of notice. They expect you to go on their website regularly to “notice “this. If you contact them and ask why removed two days before end of month and ask to have credited back they tell you it cannot be done from a technical standpoint.

I've been successfully doing these surveys consistently for over a month now and what I've seen so far, compared to try he others, is that I'm chosen, 80% of the time, to complete a survey. I've found these surveys to be centered around my profile, most of the time. So it is very important to fill out your profile as best you can and you too will be chosen to take surveys and earns great rewards.
