Viply needs either an update or a refresh, it crashes and crashes and will not let you buy a pass! I see the number decreasing and not moving forward when tapping buy pass, it reloads over and over. I signed up on time and I’m now going to miss access to the beach thanks to this app’s crappy service

I purchased beach badges in the first week of May, way before the season started, while it was still freezing to go to the beach.

Since no beaches were open, the weather being awful, and since I just purchased them the day before, I asked if I could switch the beach, they said no refunds and couldn’t even help me.

Why couldn’t I switch the beach when it was still snowing? Or why couldn’t I get a refund, so I can take that money to apply it to a different beach?

Awful customer support/company/policy.

Will continue to buy beach badges in person!

Went on at 6:25 (5 minutes early) to make a reservation for Asbury Park beach and it was already sold out. App said ticket sales for the beach were suspended because they were at capacity. Tickets aren’t suppose to go on sale until 6:30 pm the night before.. how were they sold out 5 m before tickets were supposed to go on sale? I had to call the restaurant where we made a reservation to have lunch and cancel.. the hostess mentioned that this happens to a lot of people... not cool this app. We live 1.5 hours away not going to travel to the restaurant if we can’t enjoy the beach too... ruined our plans

The title says it all. Tried to buy beach passes two weeks in a row at multiple beaches. Pass sales were suspended at sales time and even after refreshing multiple times within the subsequent hour, they were never made available to actually buy. Then a message appeared that they were sold out. this app never communicated when sales that were delayed would be reopened. Tickets were not accessible to everyone. When I reached out to their customer service team, they responded with completely inaccurate facts about ticket availability which I refuted with screenshots. They basically forfeited any responsibility for the horrible functionality of their app. Viply is a sham and truly needs to be improved before other municipalities and organizations partner with them. Viply seems to offer convenience and clarity, but in reality deliver absolutely none.

I expected to be able to go to the beach and pay by cash but i get told i need to get Viply and pay with card... no big deal i get Viply but i entire my info and i keep getting a error saying “authorization failed server error” even tried a different card and same error. Then i ask the lady at the beach entrance what to do and she tells me she doesn’t have any idea but i could walk down to this building called the auditorium that I can pay there if Viply meanwhile the line was out the door

I have to use Viply and get charged an additional fee to buy beach passes, but yet I am required to physically go to the booth on the boardwalk to pick up my badge. Well, riddle me this batman. If I am going down there anyway then why cant I just pay for the badges while I am there picking them up without having to download, install, set up an account and pay a fee to boot for the privilege of using of what should be an unnecessary app?

For the second weekend in a row, Viply crashed when I tried to purchase daily beach passes for Asbury Park. I was on Viply when the passes went for sale at 6:30pm. Viply crashed BOTH times I went to press “purchase daily pass.” Viply is also very slow at refreshing after it just crashed. I missed out on beach passes two times already. It continues to be a failure, and you can see it in all the other reviews.

I got lucky twice and was able to get beach passes to Ocean Grove, NJ. I tried for 15 days but SOLD OUT is the common theme. The passes for the next day are supposed to be available beginning at 4:00 pm on the current day. I tried at 4:01 pm, 4:15 pm, 4:30 pm, 5:00 pm, 7:00 pm, 8:00 pm with no luck on most days. If the issue is with the town not releasing the passes on time, the town is ultimately making Viply look bad. I was also led to believe that Viply was the only way to get passes only to find out that the town sells them at the beach also.

I did get a Pass last year, no issues, plus my First as a Senior! Now this year can now you have to wake at the Dawn to just get a ticket extra charges plus pay park!! Come on Jersey!Not good! 😷🧐

Has been very helpful getting beach passes and staying sane. Rating it a 3 because it freezes very often and sometimes takes so long to process payments, the tickets are no longer available.

this app is awesome. Can’t control Mother Nature. Bought tickets to take family to Bradley beach and it started raining. Within 30 minutes of us calling customer service , this app reimbursemed us because town closed beach for the day. Thank you this app!

Viply saved my vacation during a pandemic!! The beach towns decide on the number of daily beach badges to sell each day and use this app to sell and distribute those badges.
I got the this app app to get daily badges for our favorite beach for a planned vacation. On one of the days of vacation that was a perfect beach day, we were unable to get daily badges where we usually go. One family member started to whine that we could not go to our usual beach, but this app is connected to other beach towns and we were willing to go on an adventure for that day out of the usual routine to a different beach. Even adults can learn to be flexible with changing plans thanks to Viply!
I wish all of the beaches in NJ would use this app to simplify the search for available passes. So easy to use. Saves time finding passes at available beaches so I don’t waste time driving to a beach that does not use this app to find badges already sold out before we got there.

Worked very well for our recent visit to Avon by the Sea. Quickly redeemed our passes for our daily wristbands. No contact, no cash, no fuss. On the beach within three minutes. Beach attendant in the ticket booth was extremely friendly.

Viply is amazing and helps avoid ticket lines / large crowds. Straightforward and anyone complaining about it has nothing to do with Viply itself rather than the huge amount of people trying to purchase very small amount of tickets!

I would recommend using Viply to purchase beach tags for just about any NJ beach location. It is very easy to navigate but I suggest you remember to only purchase for the same day you are going! Haha. The customer service gentleman, Mr. Masterson was a great help for my simple mistake. Thank you again Sir and everyone I definitely rate this 5 star!

this app makes purchasing a beach badge simple during a social distance summer. Many towns at the Jersey Shore use Viply for their beach badge sales. Note to the consumer, this app has NOTHING to do with the pricing and quantity of badges at the beach - that is the decision of the town. Take your issue to the respective town. Thank you this app for your response to my issue - I called the town, and received the proper information.

I am not an early bird so I’m super excited to be able to purchase my weekend daily Avon by the Sea beach badges while drinking my morning coffee! Once down at the beach, I walked up to the Sylvania Ave badge booth, scanned in and received a tangible daily badge. Super easy, stress free and the small fee was totally worth the convenience. By the time I got to the beach, daily badges were completely sold out! Can’t wait to try it for other events! 🏖❤️👏

this app is a great app to buy beach passes for the Jersey Shore and it’s so easy to use!! Plus they have wonderful customer service. They issued me a refund for passes I couldn’t use because the rental car company ran out of cars so had no way of getting to the beach.

Why would anyone use Viply? A beach badge on weekdays is $5, $7 on weekends and Viply is trying to charge me $8.55? Stating there's a convenience fee included? Absolutely comical. No thanks- I'll walk up to the cashier and hand them my 5 dollar bill.

Just loops the login screen. No way to login so just a useless app. 🤷‍♂️ Would have been nice though.

Sooooo slow at ‘start’ time at 9:00 that after trying for 9 minutes w/o any connection (error, error, error) I was shut out of the purchase.

There is a huge up charge for using Viply Sorry, there may be some convenience in using Viply but the charges are definitely not worth it!

Non refundable!! Went to the parks and no where to scan to validate your pass. Went to two parks. Had to pay $12 to get in. I could’ve just purchased a pass for $8 at the gas station. That’s what I get for trying to plan ahead and be sufficient. Save your money and time.

I just reinstalled Viply on my phone to buy beach passes and despite having an account it will not allow my to login despite trying 3 different methods. Since this is the only option to buy oases with a credit card I’ve drive lm all the way to the beach for nothing.

Second year of Viply being used by the New Jersey beaches and it works 0% of the time. Everything is sold out, login doesn’t work and the options are not complete on purchase options. Just order your badge in December like usual via snail mail.

Had to use Viply at a Va. state park. Needs to be integrated with Apple Pay and Wallet. Cumbersome process over all.

Viply helped save time with long lines and cash only to get on to beaches. Only reason not 5 stars is because we weren’t sure where to go to scan and get onto beach. Other than that, quick to set-up and simple way to get beach access!

I frequent many federal and state parks throughout the spring and summer. Just visited Pocahontas State Park in Virginia and used Viply for a self-serve entry pass. Clever approach and convenient. Great idea.....
