App Loads But Does Not Work

RailEurope loads but nothing works. You can’t search, enter information in any field, access your account, nothing. It’s literally a single static screen.

Book your train directly, don’t use this middleman

We purchased tickets for German Rail through this provider with a seat reservation. They took our money and never transmitted it to the rail provider. We confirmed this once we got to Germany. We contacted Rail Europe and got numerous excuses about how reservations were not yet available, but the bottom line was they kept our money, we got a ticket without a reservation and they didn’t even have the decency to give the money back, they just gave excuses. From now on we will book directly from the rail company, no need for a middleman.

Stuck on login page

Won’t let me log in or create an account. Gets stuck once info is filled out and says please wait - it’s been 5 minutes

This app stinks

I just bought a rail pass and always had paper. This is the first time using mobile and there is no tutorial that matches what RailEurope looks like. I loaded my pass and the start date on it is different than what I booked. I also go to view the pass and have no idea how to “connect a trip”. we won’t know what trains we are taking till each day we are there. And there is no way to contact Rail Europe. It would be nice to have the paper option again or an app that gives more tutorials.

It wasn’t honored by DB in Germany. I think it’s a scam

I bought a rail pass from Rail Europe for 5 days of travel. I paid $300. It said it would be honored by DB, the German railway company. It was not. They had never heard of it. The reference number from Rail Europe meant nothing to DB. There is no phone number to contact Rail Europe, and they are not quick to return email. I must now buy rail tickets at full price after buying the $300 pass. I will dispute this with my credit card company.

How is this app rated 5 stars?

It is extremely buggy and laggy. I can’t make any reservations from RailEurope . Also, a flat booking fee is kind of crazy when you can book tickets on the website without the booking fee.

Not compatible in France

I tried using these tickets multiple times in France from nice to Merseille and they never would scan. At the station, it was “unrecognized” at the self service station. You might be able to use these by finding an attendant every time, but that defies the point of a mobile ticket. Just buy at the station to save yourself a headache.

No way to “Add a trip”

RailEurope needs to add “add a trip” so that you can pull up reservations that don’t automatically populate. So aggravating!

Usually good, but very buggy lately

Usually good, but been very buggy with ticket exchanges and times freezing up, causing me to have to enter all the info again multiple times.

Latest update not user friendly

I have been using RailEurope successfully for past few weeks to plan trip within Europe. Since yesterday I am noticing the interface is not as user friendly and is freezing. There was a slider to select departure time which is now replaced by a drop down which is not as user friendly and is freezing regularly. After search results are displayed there was a back button to go back to the initial search field which retained the old search data. It was easy to toggle directions and continue with next search. This back button to go back to search is no longer available. As a result we have to start again by using Search at the bottom of the screen which opens a blank search form. This is not user friendly. Not sure if these changes were intentional, these changes make planning trips more difficult.

Can’t add

If you have purchased tickets and didn’t log into your app, it says that when you open RailEurope that your tickets should be there. The ticket I purchased in RailEurope is there. The ticket I purchased with the same name and same credit card earlier this week is not there! there should be a fix for that. Just a suggestion.

Great site!

Very pleased with this site! It’s easy to use and makes sense to me when other sites were more confusing due to language and currency differences. I’m a fan!

Loco2 Super easy to use

This website for trains is super easy to use. Even easier than the National Railway website.

Bravo, Travel Geeks

I'm using the site for multiple bookings in Spain and Portugal from Australia. Less difficult than I expected and when I had a problem, Travel Geek Christian responded with promptness and efficiency. Well done.

Great App for Train Travel!

RailEurope is fantastic and easy to use for booking train tickets. Highly recommend!

In English

After struggling through my rusty Spanish to buy a train ticket. I got wise and used RailEurope. Fast and in English! Happy:)

Essential

The only train booking app you need.

Easy transactions!!

Would highly recommend! Nice application with all data at your fingertips, also great customer service and payment options

Great for inexperienced traveler

I found RailEurope so far superior to RENFE (Spain) site that I immediately was able to understand it (very intuitive and forgiving), to book trips, and to prepare tickets with confidence.
In addition, it can be used in most if not all European countries.
Good job, Loco2 train geeks.

Mr Kim Manfull

Easy to navigate and easy to book. Would recommend them highly after trying rail Europe for most of the last 2 days!
