App will randomly crash. Sometimes work is saved, sometimes work is t saved. The last crash, I got logged out and now the won’t recognize my user name and password word. I am two hours from my office, hope I can recover my work, for I will have lost at least a day, that is if I can get back into my account t. If I can not, I will have lost three weeks of work.

I have downloaded ArcGISSurvey123 onto my iPhone 8 Plus and it will not load/open. I deleted ArcGISSurvey123 and downloaded it again and the same issue is present. I have excellent WiFi so that is not the issue. I have the latest update iPhones have released. I need to use ArcGISSurvey123 to record a survey ASAP and it will not function properly for me to do so. Please help!

The latest update absolutely broke our surveys, just days before we were going to bring it into the field. Updated on both iPhone and iPad, and both stopped working immediately. This is a really poor showing from ESRI, as you would expect that they would test their updates before implementing to make sure they work on the THING THAT ArcGISSurvey123 IS SUPPOSED TO DO.

Daily problems with this horrendous excuse of an app. IT and customer service are a joke. The very moment they think they have a system that’s semi functional, they roll out a new version and never ACTUALLY get it functioning “right.” If your company makes you use this for your time clock, I pity you. SURVEY123 is GARBAGE. Constantly crashing, never ending bugs, software is dated (yet ArcGISSurvey123 is updated), never ending problems. I could write a book on why to NOT use ArcGISSurvey123. On the bright side… you don’t have to keep up with a time sheet or go punch a clock… woohoo.

Submit checkbox is often occluded by keyboard making survey submittal glitchy. Earlier versions had an option to edit sent survey data. The current version only allows you to view or copy sent data. The default sorting order for sent surveys is oldest to newest- the logical default would be to show the most recent surveys first.

I am trying to utilize Survey123 on my laptop and ArcGISSurvey123 does not work on my computer. My coworkers use Windows computers and are able to use the field app on their laptops. Please update the field app so I can use it on my laptop. I need to use ArcGISSurvey123 on a daily basis and it is extremely frustrating to transfer data from my laptop to my phone to do my job.

App used to work great, now it won’t allow me to send in any reports. I have multiple sitting in the outbox but they won’t send no matter what. I even tried creating a free ArcGIS acct on the web but when I went to sign in ArcGISSurvey123 it said access denied.

Everything about ArcGISSurvey123 is clunky. From login to data entry to submission it’s like it was built by someone who never used it to do anything.

It’s also invasive. It wants data from multiple accounts and is not clear about where the data goes.

This is a real shame because agencies and institutions that use ESRI products push this survey app to field workers and citizen science projects and the difficulty in use is detrimental to the success and accuracy of those endeavors.

ArcGISSurvey123 is useful in theory but there are a lot of issues that make it a UI nightmare that, judging by other reviews, have been around for a LONG time and haven’t been fixed.

My main issue is attaching photos. I’m able to successfully attach a photo maybe 1 in every 20 attempts. The rest of the time I have to save them to my “files” and attach them that way. Very irritating.

Next, text boxes are super invasive and there’s no easy way to get out of one. There should be a way to easily move on from a text box.

Lastly, I hate that it continues to track my location when I’m not using it. That should stop because it kills my battery (important in the field!).

If I use the “Rating” option in the design of the form, my survey shows them as radio buttons with the Star image half way over it. That option is unusable with that bug.

I volunteer for an organization, and use ArcGISSurvey123 to conduct field surveys for them. Is there a way to complete/add my notes to a draft survey via desktop? It seems not? I just detest typing that much on my phone. (Obviously I take photos and pin location while in the field.)
It doesn’t let me sign in with a public ArcGIS account.

I have tried configuring the form multiple ways including just using the image sample and I can not get photos I have take to attach to the form. I can add files or take new photos but it doesn’t like browse and add the photos I have already taken. This is a big problem.

- if i refresh my survey page, go into a survey, and exit back into the list, any movement on my touchscreen prompts the list to refresh over and over again. i have to force-close ArcGISSurvey123 and reboot everything again for it to mostly return to the same bug. please fix this for more stars.
- please hire UI designers who understand touch screen apps better. ArcGISSurvey123 is clunky and frustrating to deal with due to unclear navigation around ArcGISSurvey123 and large lag times following simple procedures (ie: exiting a survey)

Please make another update to Survey123 iOS app. This is a needed tool for operational use and field collection.

Latest update to app does not work. I just had someone update their app but the new version will not open. It immediately crashes when it is opened. No functions can be performed. Can not use latest iOS until vetted agains other apps.

Everything works well with the iPad and my iPhone the only complain I have and hope it gets addressed down the road is, having the Survey123 iPad app compatible with the magic keyboard Track Pad. It would make the experience a lot more smoother and more convenient for people that use iPad to complete their surveys. Just this alone would definitely bring ArcGISSurvey123 up to 5 starts in my book.

I set ArcGISSurvey123 to use location services “while using ArcGISSurvey123 ”, yet when I’m not using ArcGISSurvey123 it is still using my location. I have to go to settings and turn the location service to never to prevent ArcGISSurvey123 from tracking my location when I’m not using ArcGISSurvey123. This bug needs to be fixed. Once I have completed my survey in two days I will be deleting ArcGISSurvey123 and never using it again

This is a great app overall, but the location services continue to be accessed whether or not ArcGISSurvey123 is open (even if the iOS permissions set are only to allow location access when app is open). This could result in battery drain over time. On the ESRI forum this issue has been mentioned since at least 2018, please fix.

The ability to add multiple pictures from the iPhone would get a 5th star. Can we get that ability in an update, please?

Is this some kind a hoax can’t get past the green page server error looks like there’s a lot of negative feedback be best to uninstall this wipe it out and don’t look back I would have loved to have seen what very few good comments had seen just read an article that was posted today ; it recommended ArcGISSurvey123 but it’s DOA-dead what a joke

ArcGISSurvey123 is awesome when designed well by the team who is customizing it. Many of the bugs reported by others are due to how it was customized, not due to Esri. Also they are constantly improving it! You can’t beat the ease of translations and ability to add offline maps to be viewed in the field, even while disconnected from the internet.
