FrontApp will not stay open longer than 5 seconds. When trying to type an email it will always close out and you’ll have to start the email back over again.

I’ve been a Front user for a few years now. I absolutely love the browser and desktop versions- but FrontApp is ridiculous. It’s been buggy for months. Issues so major i keep thinking to myself that that have to be working on this - but then nothing ever gets better! Just now i was trying two work on my iPad Pro and literally cant type in the comments section. Tried closing FrontApp and restarting - nope. Then i came to App Store to look for an update and i have the latest version. So, i thought I’d leave a review.
The mobile app crashes every time I use it

I think the desktop version of FrontApp is great. The mobile version, at least since the design and logo change, does not work for me. I click into emails and the body doesn’t load. FrontApp crashes within 2 minutes of me opening it EVERY TIME. Its very infuriating to be honest. Since my employer has us use this I don’t have a choice but to use it. Please fix these crashes.

FrontApp is infuriating. My work requires lots of switching between FrontApp and others, lots of copying and pasting from an email to another system, and every time I leave FrontApp and come back it forgets where I was and goes all the way back to the top of the inbox, requiring me to scroll and scroll and reload all the messages I had already gone through to find what I’m working on. Please fix this...
The mobile app doesn’t even work. I’ve waited for combined hours and my inbox just doesn’t load. It works fine on the computer but makes working from your phone literally impossible. It always crashes. What’s the point of even having FrontApp ?

I use FrontApp 10 hours a day. FrontApp was good before the redesign. -New font is fancier but not as easy on the eyes. -Button placement not as intuitive for mobile. Archive button should be at bottom. -Loads several archived convos when you first open app then they disappear. -overall speed seems more sluggish. Sometimes have to tap multiple times or even click out of convo to comment.
I’m all for continuous improvement but this update was a couple steps back.

A crucial part of my email workflow involves assigning a group to a contact record. Unfortunately, the mobile app doesn’t support this functionality, so I’m continually required to move to my desktop. Very frustrating for such a simple feature to implement.

Unsolicited advice to front team: model your swipe animations and user interactions around Superhuman’s app. Swipe transitions are too slow … everything should be simpler/faster optimized for speed/power users.
I want to use Front as my primary client but I feel like I’m going to go back to superhuman eventually because of little UI things like this
They just updated the mobile app to be much slower. Takes twice as long swipe an email and FrontApp is not responsive during that time. If it isn’t more efficient, then why use it?

Well, I don’t write reviews often at all. But I have to this time, after a year of using FrontApp - solely because I’ve never, in my entire life, received better customer service...!
I reported one issue (after an update) that was a big deal in my eyes; but learned soon later that it wasn’t as big of an issue as I thought - it was probably only MY issue at that point. I knew there was no chance of resolving an issue that small and particular, that only one person was experiencing.. But instead of informing me kindly that there wasn’t much they could do about it, the person I spoke with (a developer) downloaded a completely different app (that I had on my phone) to make it compatible with their app again, as it did prior to the update. For me. I doubt anyone else uses that app with FrontApp, yet they did that solely for ME! Wow! That is ABOVE AND BEYOND in my eyes! I still can hardly believe it..
So now you see why I felt the need to write this review.. I have always loved FrontApp. It’s always been amazing, and continually getting better and better with each update. And now, due to this one experience that I’ve had with their CS recently, I am in awe! So if anyone’s debating getting FrontApp, GO FOR IT! You won’t regret it at all!

Makes us so much more efficient as a team, love FrontApp . We did a lot of research on how to best handle emails and communication as a team and this is awesome. Fully functional and fast. Works great on desktop and iPhone. Keep up the great work!

If you are looking for shared email capabilities, FrontApp is great, if you are looking for way more than that, FrontApp is even better. I have been using it for at least 4 years, and would hate to try and run our team without it at this point.

After using Front for a month there’s absolutely no way I can go back to my old email client. This is truly email 2.0 and it’s been a long time coming! Beautiful app with amazing little details that just works!

It takes time, like any platform, to learn and fully utilize. But, unlike most platforms Front is intuitive and is easy for people to get the hang of quickly! The button layout and multitude of external integrations is incredible! Will keep using for a long time to come
I can't open Front anymore on my iPad since the April 12,2018 update. It opens and then closes immediately.
