Droopls - full-featured control panel for DigitalOcean Reviews

I've been trying to move from Heroku to DigitalOcean and not having a way to kick servers while away from my computer was one of the last remaining things to figure out. This is a great app allowing me to use nearly all of DigitalOcean's API features! Only complaint is the developer is charging way too little for Droopls - this is a powerful productivity tool that's worth much more than a dollar!

I've been using Droopls for over a month now and I really like it. Does exactly what I need it to do, namely manage my droplets when I don't have access to my laptop. I highly recommend Droopls if you're utilizing DigitalOcean's great products!

Droopls didn’t work for a little while but works again. Has lots of great options but does not show monitoring graphs or information.

Allows for nearly everything a person might want to do with Digital Ocean droplets. Very easy to use, as well.

Excellent does everything I need and then some. Just needs a brief description of what things do, A walk through of sorts.

Title says it all. Not a great experience for folks with multiple accounts, but otherwise, it's great.

No firewall support. No console access. That last one is kind of big. The claim is it supports all DO features and this is why I bought it. The two features I wanted are not supported. False advertising.

The only reason for the 4/5 rating is due to the fact that you can only add a domain and delete DNS entries when it comes to Domain Management. At the time of this review, Droopls doesn't allow you to add or modify DNS entries which, for this to be truly fully-functional, is a necessity. If Droopls allowed for multi-update & multi-delete (droplets, domains, DNS etc) and allowed full domain management, it'd be a 10/5 star app :-). Seriously, functionality wise, it's by far the smoothest and easily one of the best designed. It only needs a few more features.

I didn't realize that Droopls has not been updated in the past two years. I try to authorize my digital ocean account and it gets stuck on the authorization screen and the authorize button doesn't work.

Droopls last update was 2 years ago, Droopls doesn’t work or connect. For a paid app, it should have being giving a better care. Don’t buy.

Does exactly what you'd expect, and does it well!

Excellent app, very polished UI and has every feature I need. 1Password integration is what sold it for me. Every app that you enter passwords in should support that.

Nice, clean, stable, modern, I can keep going... Every app should strive to be this polished.

I've only used this app for a day, and am extremely satisfied with its interface. For $5, Droopls has a smooth design and lots of features.

One of the slight drawbacks I've experienced is the difficulties in changing DNS records. I use Digital Ocean to manage all of my DNS, and Droopls only lets you make and delete domain entries, but it won't let you CHANGE or ADD SUBdomains (I.E. I make foo.bar, but then I can't make mail.foo.bar, and if I use the web-interface to make it, I can't change the entries, but only delete them). It also doesn't have some of the normal DNS features you'd see in the web-interface, like creating MX records. It only allows the creation of A records (I'm not sure about AAAA though?)

Aside from that, it's fully-functional and worth your money if you're looking to manage droplets and basic functions.
A good complementary app is Termius, a fully-features SSH terminal (supports RSA keys!) that will give you secure terminal access from anywhere!
