EdCast - Knowledge Sharing Reviews

I was not quite sure how EdCast would help me since I already had 20+ years of experince in my industry, to my surprise EdCast helped me a lot in terms of being up to date with latest developments in our industry and also share my knowledge with my fellow learners.

My experience with this app has been very good, this is the only app i have sticked to for a long time, I did experience a few issues early on but all good since the last update ‌  ‍​    

EdCast is great. Many cool features. You need to stick to it for a while to benefit from it.

I can stay in touch with my colleagues and we always motivate each other in our learnning journey on EdCast itself, very very helpful.  ‌   

PiP doesn’t work. You start a video and it plays but then when you go into PiP mode it shows the video in PiP and restarts the audio out of sync. Useless

I’ve been struggling to keep the application running, if it doesn’t crash it is very slow in loading contents..
Otherwise it indeed contains lots of beneficial contents.

I open app and get kicked out. I am unable to take any classes from EdCast . I have uninstalled and reinstalled EdCast and it still does the same thing.

Terrible! Apparently they don’t care that their app doesn’t work.

When I usually browse on Twitter, I end up wasting a lot of time, going from one link to another. However, it wasn’t the case here. Content related to a topic was all in one place and had sufficient info that I didn’t need to follow links which ended up not wasting time.

The content is very similar to a lot of other popular sites, but since it’s all curated for you under a topic, you don’t have to go around looking for people to follow. It’s nice when an app does that for you since I don’t always know the experts in the field to follow. The content could be more richer and have weighted opinions, but since it’s the first release, I would give them the benefit of doubt.

A key, IMHO, to effective mobile learning is not just to shrink the desktop via a responsive design but rather to think about the user experience outside the classroom/office/home — EdCast is focused on exactly that with a unique approach to integrating informal content (discussions, news, my own comments, etc) with formal structured content available via online courses. For example, I was just using EdCast and the channel on “Architecture” suggested a Ted talk on physical learning spaces which I found to be a terrific parallel to what his app itself is trying to do.

I try to follow influencers in my industry on Twitter but it's hard to find all of them on my own and even then there's a lot of content in my feed that I don't necessarily care about. this app automates this all for me by directly following the topic itself and it really only takes me about 10 minutes everyday to flip through the latest and greatest content from all the top thought leaders in my industry!

I've seen many online education apps before - everything from vocabulary games to course-based apps. I always thought that there needs to be a way to combine the best features together.

EdCast gets us closer to doing that well. I like the idea of showing me what my friends are doing so that I can learn with them. I think the social features need to be more prominent in EdCast , but this is a good first step.

I'm looking forward to more from EdCast!

This is a great app that provides free education and global access on a wide variety of topics. this app is the next big thing for education. People around the globe can access quality education using this app. As for me, I loved the course on Entrepreneurship and company values. this app is also a great professional training platform.

Bouncing back and forth between different fields of studies, I have been having great troubles finding what I am really passionate to pursue in the future. EdCast is a really quick and convenient way to increase my knowledge in certain fields I am interested in.

Half-baked execution of a service no one wants or needs. Just a bunch of links to stuff with very little original content. Zero engagement across all categories (no active users). You're not going to discover anything of value using EdCast. I can't think of any reason anyone would invest time in EdCast instead of just following people on more popular services and publishing through more full featured platforms. Deleted.

EdCast is changing my mobile habits. Instead of goofing off in games or on social networks, this simple app lets me learn on the go. Simple articles, videos, and more helps me to train the brain and not let it go to mush.

I can now use my time wisely and learn when I have some free time without having to dedicate part of my day sitting in front of a computer

Great way to directly connect with influencers and ask questions real time in live interviews, the course network has great resources for personal growth and education.

Looking forward to dedicated iPad version.

There's so much good information on here, and I can get to it in my spare time. If you are always busy but still want to stay informed, this is the way to go!

this app has made learning really easy and interesting with the course structure a mix of bite sized and long form videos, this helped me understand concepts better and also helped in being consistent because only long form videos are very boring and we generally don't stick with them ‍    

I have been an early user of this app and the evolution of EdCast has been fantastic, with every update they have been taking into consideration user suggestions and have made it better. I have personally observed no bugs or errors since the last update‌    ‍‌ ​

this app LXP has some remarkable features that kept me engaged. Some of the features that I enjoyed the most are:

1. Smartcards - This is like bite-size learning and sharing
2. Badges - You earn badges when you complete a course or module, and you can share the same on social media ‍      

The webapp and the mobile app sync seamlessly. This allows learning on the go. The extensions are very helpful and allow integration with multiple platforms like MS Teams, MS Office, Google Chrome and more. This has helped a lot in terms of overall retention and course and completion rate.     

I was actually finding it boring to learn while learning from other apps because of the long courses and outdated content EdCast has changed that for good. the short and insightful sessions make learning interesting. ‍    

Early on i was facing some issues with login where I automatically got logged out. I contacted the support and they we were very prompt and helped me resolve the issue in no time. I have had a good experience overall ‍  ​ 

the support team is very helpful and is all ears in listening to users feedback. They have improved EdCast very well and have turned around the overall user experience.      ‍ 

With this app LXP I have observed the course completion rate has improved drastically. Me and my colleagues have actually completed courses on time as per our planned targets. I owe this to the timely notification and some of it's features like progress tracker.   ‍ ‌ ‌  

the progress tracker feature is excellent as it allows one to stay on track with our goals and helps with necessary prompts when necessary. Very useful for completing the course on time.      ‌

with this app I can be up to date with my industry in one single window without having to mindlessly scroll through 100s of irrelevant articles. saved a lot of time for me.

this app mobile app works very well and i can easily switch from my laptop to my mobile and it takes me to where i left from my my laptop, this has to be my favorite feature.     ‍

Loved how EdCast is rewarding the users for completing courses and sharing information using skillcoins which can be used to purchase giftcards. never seen a feature or such a rewarding learning app before. Kudos to the this app team. ‍​‍ 

i use learning history feature a lot as it enables you to track your activity and assignments etc which is very important to form a new habit and understanding our patterns of learning‍ ‍ ‍

I personally found the smartcards to be a very powerful feature in the this app app, put together with the insightful courses they have made a huge impact in my learning experience.      ‌
