AMBOSS Medical Knowledge Reviews

AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge itself looks great. The layout looks carefully thought out. And has a lot of information. I got it through tan Instagram ad and read the reviews. I would love to try it out. But I am only a high school student. I play sports as well and do not have time for a job. I want to be an anesthesiologist and I think AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge could better my study habits to help me get there. So maybe there could be a free version with add or make some of the content limited and the people with memberships get full access. I don’t know but I would really love to use AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge . If not I’d keep AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge until Im able to get a job in the future.

I always have this ready to go whenever I’m doing rounds or am sitting in lecture waiting for questions to be asked - so much easier to find info on here than on Up To Date or other similar resources! Sometimes there are tiny discrepancies with first line treatments and diagnostic modalities that my attendings want me to know and that are relevant for shelf exams. Being able to add your own notes to each section is really great when that does happen or if you’re on a specialty rotation that goes farther in depth than the articles do. Just wish there was a way to add our own highlights to notes for study and review purposes

Easily responsible for 90% of my success on wards, shelf exams, and step exams. The library articles are phenomenal for wards thanks to their clarity, brevity, and wonderful organization — you can find exactly what you’re looking for in seconds. The USMLE STEP 1 and STEP 2 Qbanks by AMBOSS are better than UWorld both in terms of questions as well as explanations which are more clear and helpful and even link to the relevant library article should you want a deeper dive. I can’t thank AMBOSS enough for their spectacular knowledge & Qbank apps. Truly next-gen medical learning.

Never do reviews especially for apps. This is a must have for medical student or even residents wanting to not look dumb when reading other specialty notes. Great review right before presenting a patient and good resources of peer reviewed literature for various conditions. It has got more expensive which I am hesitant to continue but if you have the money great resource. They also have a Q bank which people love but I can barely do UWORLD so I don’t use it much. They should add an orthopedic exam like they have for other specialties.

This is really a robust app for medical students and clinicians, I wish I had known about it earlier, the library is just amazing and qbank is really helpful to solidify your knowledge learned from the library. There is chrome extension but I really hope that you can make a safari extension for Mac too. Thanks a lot

AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge itself works perfectly and is useful and comes in handy when it comes to looking up medical information. But please bring in dark mode..the light mode is just too blinding and stressful for the eyes especially when learning in the dark. Besides it’s 2021 and most apps these days has a dark mode by default. I hope dark mode would be brought to AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge soon.

Since I found Amboss, I made it my sole medical resource. It gives you all the necessary details in a simple and organised way. Its notes on almost every medical word makes it really easy if you have not any background on the specific topic.
I wish Amboss had video explanations for every article, it would have made it the bestest 😉

I put this along side up to date, but is more geared towards actual in office practice whereas uptodate is more of a ‘reference’. The way they explain pathophys and use arrows to say ‘this happens, which causes this to happen’ is so helpful. Would be lost without this

Before, AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge was working great to complement any knowledge I wanted to refer to on my iPhone. Recently within the last month, the knowledge app keeps saying ‘Oh no, you can’t access this right now and the error seems to be on our side’. I find this has been detrimental to my learning from a full AMBOSS experience, and I had tried everything from reinstalling AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge to signing in again but with no luck. Please address this!!!

If you’re a medical student and you study after the sun goes down, you’ll probably get a headache from using AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge. It’s one of the rare apps out there that still does not have a dark mode. Better off using it on your computer and then installing a dark mode chrome plugin.

If my lectures are not clear enough I usually have enough info here. If I want a quick review you turn on highlights and read away.
Questions are pretty hard and explanations good.
Really an all in one.

I was excited to try this as a quick reference in my clinical practice, but as others have said none of the articles or diagrams work. All I get is this error message "oh no, you can't access this right now. Seems like an error on our side, try again in a bit." Uninstalling, updating, restarting your device does not fix it. I might try it again in the future if they iron out the bugs, but for now I'll pass.

I signed up for a free trail and unable to find the final pricing. I tried accessing the pediatric content and everything kept saying I was unable to view at this time. I deleted AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge and hopefully will not be charged in the future. It’s currently not listed in my subscriptions.

Seemed interesting and will try again in the future.

I got to know AMBOSS in the middle of my preparation for USMLE /step 1 last year. Currently I use it for step 2 CK preparation

It is the best medical library you can find for the preparation for many reasons :

1 . Very well organized topics

2. Excellent illustrating images and videos

3. High resolution histopathological images with labels which made me improved in the weakest part I was in

4. Q bank with very close similarity to the real exam

And too many other reasons

Allow AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge to sit open a few minutes to install the library. Mine didn’t work until I did this.

First off, I love Amboss and AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge. Loads of information and beautiful diagrams. However, I think AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge would truly benefit from a dark/night mode! I know plenty of us are up late studying and would appreciate such a feature.

I would love a way to be able to highlight important things myself as well as keep track of articles I have already studied! Otherwise, great info.

Please change the font back to the old one ! Otherwise an excellent app, extremely helpful on rotations

Absolutely love and would recommend to all. Very simple to navigate. Relevant images, high yield bullet points points, and great images. Absolutely love.

Amazing content and cross-reference, but I wish the tiny font could be enlarged somehow. Especially on the Qbank, it’s so difficult to read the small font

Hi, I think amboss is an amazing resource. I am in my preclinical years and this is by far the best bang for your buck. The questions range from easy to hard, and I mean challenging your mind brain hurts hard. The explanations are fabulous and the integration between the library and knowledge is nothing spectacular but gets the job done. The reason why I didn’t give this 5 stars has nothing to do with the quality of amboss but AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge doesn’t allow you to highlight key things in the passage which is a super downfall because that’s how I take my tests. Also, I only use my iPad for school so I cannot reap the benefits of using the amboss Anki add on on my iPad, which is disappointing. Overall love AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge and recommend it for anyone who wants to challenge themselves and be a better doctor.

AMBOSS has a phenomenal system. I am really enjoying it. I purchased UWORLD, sketchy, firecracker, and USMLE Rx - the only one I use every single day is AMBOSS! They are coming out with an extension for ANKI TOO!!!! No other company is doing that!

Text size doesnt change for pop up text, which remains tiny even after increasing the text size to max.

amboss as a resource is very solid.

AMBOSS is great! The only thing is that I can’t highlight in my qbank while using a mobile device.

So I guess you can’t do a bank on the app-wasn’t clear at first. I like AMBOSS so far but AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge is kind of underwhelming. I may update this review later; but I do like things idiot proof and this seems confusing.

God knows how many times AMBOSSMedicalKnowledge has saved my face in front of attendings. Great app. 5 stars, a must have.

Question and content great especially for neurology. Good background concept teaching and organized explanations for all your shelf needs.

I wish you add dark mood in this application as soon as possible
