We bought 1st class tickets on Trenord from Milano Centrale to Lugano. In Milano there are “assistants” that are supposed to help in the station. I asked four times how to know which car is first class and they either didn’t respond or said to “just get on the train”. Mostly they did so by yelling at us. Very unkind and they obvious really don’t care about customer service.
Trenitalia was far superior. Staff more professional and your car and seat clearly marked.
My advice, avoid Trenord if you are not experienced with the Italian train system.

Worked once...then nothing

App let me buy pass from airport to Milan. Great. But then I couldn’t make ANY other purchase without filling out a ‘profile’ page. But the page provided for my profile cannot be submitted (button is greyed out), half the fields are uneditable, and the in-app forms to request help have the ‘send’ greyed out so they are likewise useless. I guess I’ll use the kiosks got the duration of my stay and Google Maps. I hope it lets me buy a ticket BACK to the airport.

Why can’t an American use the app?

Going to be spending a couple of months in Italy and want to use the phone pass but the registration is set up for anyone other than an American. I was able to get through most fields but couldn’t enter the Codice Fiscale and I was prevented from completing the registration.
