After purchasing over 200 vehicles on this platform I learned valuable lessons. For a seller this is awesome, the inspectors are very open to $tips and are paid by vehicles selling that they inspect. We received alot of vehicles that were staged for photos and missing parts. If something is listed as not working or light on the entire system can be stripped out of the vehicle and photos purposely taking to hide those areas. We received one vehicle that had been on fire underneath and the undercarriage photos wasnt present for that reason and no coverage applied. One with convertible top not working and the pump, all control modules and wiring cut out of vehicle and purposely didnt lift trunk mat to show the carnage. (They did cover the missing spare tire for that one though 🤦‍♂️) Titles are a whole other story, we were forced to wait for over a year in some circumstances and they would not unwind. Lots of horrific fluid leaks are hidden on purpose. Once you get a vehicle unwound and it gets reinspected and relisted you will instantly know what they hide and how they do it. Had multiple vehicle with bad engines and transmissions relisted and not announced even though they knew what was wrong just to move them to the next poor soul. Very poor ethics over all.

Over the last year I’ve purchased 17 cars (all average wholesale price of $20k) and 9 of them had undisclosed mechanical problems that exceeded $2000 in repairs. All were green light and ACV selectively choose to arbitrate at their convenience. Do not trust their inspection process, their inspections are as reliable as their arbitration process and the inspectors. Also, try googling ACV lawsuit, quite an interesting set of reads. Couldn’t be any more crooked, if I could give this company a 0 star rating I would.

When I first got on ACV, the dealership group I worked for loved it. Since ACV has gone public, it has gone downhill. That same group is planning to issue a memo to its managers and buyers that we will no longer be using the platform. I almost went to work for them but listened to my gut and went elsewhere.

Great app, but awful way of building inventory. You will receive vehicles with many unannounced issues, that were missed by very inexperienced “inspectors”. I have purchased 50+ vehicles from ACV. At least 50% of the vehicles I receive have various ranging issues. I have purchased some very nice vehicles through this platform, but it’s not worth the risk. I have also experienced large losses ($5,000+) on several occasions. I have never before had losses like that in my business. This also doesn’t address the title nightmare you will have with ACV. I know they’re a growing company, but over time, I find the errors to be inexcusable. Titles are always delayed, and also way too frequently arrive with issues creating a nightmare getting them flipped. ACV is an amazing platform, but years away from being a reliable source of inventory. Stick with Manheim and Adesa for now. Arbitration isn’t fun to work with either. They take any quote you receive, for items they will actually cover (not many), and cut that down to a number no mechanic on earth would quote. They’re incredibly unrealistic with repair valuations. Love the platform, hate the experience.

ACV has ZERO Control of the of the transporters. The transporters do as they wish & take as much time as they want to deliver. I purchased a vehicle on the 4th & paid for ACV Transport & it wasn’t delivered till the 20th. When they call the transporters they don’t answer, They don’t respond to emails, it’s all unorganized. There is one thing ACV Transport is good at & it is to take your money very quickly.

I have had a horrible experience with this auction and app. Rude customer service, incomplete titles, promised things that didn’t happen, local reps are worthless, Cars not being delivered, Delivered in Tow Zones, App Crashed several times mid auction. Waste of time and money for any car dealer to use... sad because I wanted to like it. I would seriously look elsewhere... they have a lot of problems to fix.

I bought a car green light suppose to be no issues driver went to pick the car up it drove back fine 4 days later jump in the car and transmission was out I paid great money for a car that supposedly green light no issues dealers beware they will not help or do not car stay far away from this auction

Horrible customer service has the worst rules and criteria for an auction. I called them to setup a sellers account with them since I already have a buyers account with them and they told me I have to to be buying 8 cars a month for 3 months to open a sellers account which is kind of odd. They do that because they make more money when someone buys a car instead of sells one on there auction platform, I will not be dealing with them anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ACVAuctions just keeps getting worse... between the run list jumbling up while in the middle of you search and now they had an update and the notifications DONT STOP.... alll day everyday constant notifications non stop car beeping until it completely kills your battery.... at least before the update you could adjust your filters and only receive notifications for cars you were looking for... now it’s just all day it is 12:46pm and since about 8am I have received over 300 notifications from ACV for new auctions... it is terrible I’m forced to delete ACVAuctions until this is fixed I can’t take it anymore

I don’t know what happened all of sudden I don’t get receive any notification for the auctions anymore as they post on ACVAuctions . No help no one to call for support I deleted ACVAuctions restarted my phone updated my plans still nothing checked all of my settings still nothing

ACVAuctions seems to work great on phones and computers but needs an update for issues with IPads. I have run multiple updates and on my iPad I cannot do the following things: listen to audio of the engines running, make offers after bidding has closed on not-sold vehicles.

I have been using ACVAuctions since 2016 the first two years it worked fine on my iPad 2nd gen overnight it stopped working I have since upgraded my iPad twice now have a gen4 still does not work you can view vehicles sometimes you can bid sometimes you can’t you also cannot hear the audio file or copy the vin

I would love to see a little more out of ACVAuctions! For example the ended auctions should have a option to sort the “make offer” “sold” and “pending”

The Full Condition Report and Audio Motor Profile AMP not working on iPad mini 5, need to be solve.

This is an important business where a lot of cash is made, I don’t understand why it takes so long to correct any issues with ACVAuctions which is the only source of buying of this company besides the web..

I wish they would follow NAAA guidelines on arbitration, otherwise they have been a great company to work with. I have bought at least 80 cars this year, shop bills have fallen in line with those that I purchase at regular auctions, but I did have one that would have been covered by Manheim or Adesa arbitration policies, but wasn’t because ACV doesn’t follow NAAA guidelines. As a seller, what more can I ask for, I get paid in timely manner once they have received the titles. I can have them out very quickly as well to do inspections.

ACVAuctions needs some work, I wish we could switch to landscape mode on the ipad app.

Acv has gone above and beyond for our business. We are a small dealer that uses this auction service daily. We have been able to grow our business through their auctions with less fees and great inspections. We have purchased over 100 units from acv with only 4 vehicles that were arbitrated. Great policies and great customer support. They are there to answer the call when needed and our dealer rep Liz goes above and beyond for us.

Whatever you do, please do NOT introduce an auction preview feature. The mix and uncertainty is what makes this platform good. I disliked the lack of previews at first, but have come to like that feature a lot.

Most of these reviews is written by their friends and team This auction the most horrible and not respect their customers and buyers they are couple people come together selling their cars and some of their friends cars and all their systems are is base,on their favor since a year I purchased more than 70 or 80 cars from this auction every single car had problem they are not honest with buyer once you get a car and they took their money you are done no one answering you calls and they ignore you even they don't know you are their customer I never had any problem with manheim auction or adesa or bel air auction they are very professional and they are honest with buyer and seller their car announcements is base on their honesty not base on their sellers favor I strongly recommend my friends and new dealership they don't have experience with this auction becareful and don't waste your money and time just go to your area auction even manheim or adesa you ll save money and time not go back and forth to bodyshop or mechanical shop this auction has fake reviews because this review first go to their review if it was good they will post it otherwise they delete it I'm sure my post will be delete it right the way because they never want to post very sample they are not honest and this is the reason they don't have physically location

this auction is a joke it seems like every time we buy a car or motorcycle, we pay for it send transportation and they car has been pulled and all they say is sorry. Bullshit I'm sick of this auction they never stick up for the buyer
