I used duolingo, busuu and a few others too. I like the approach of Wlingua because it TEACHES!!. All others trick you to believe you are learning as you’re playing games snd answering silly questions. Wlingua hands down does TEACH with grammar lessons. Take a notebook and pen and study snd you will INDEED learn. However it is missing many of the whistles and bells such as social networking, real pronunciation etc. No problem but given that it is too expensive I cannot see why I should continue Wlingua. The price they charge is not justified given that it lacks many features other apps have. Wlingua should be 50% less expensive like other apps. Otherwise I will buy a grammar book for 15$ and study it.

This app has made learning Spanish a lot of fun! It also isn't a memorization game, they really teach you rules and applications. I love the reading exercises! The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 is because I have run into some words that are incorrect or statements that do not mean what is given for the translation. Other than that, the app is wonderful! And so convenient to be able to switch between my phone and tablet, so I can do exercises at home and reviews on the go.

This is a wonderful app that teaches vocabulary, grammar, and idiomatic language uses of both Spanish and Latin American dialects, making sure the learner has sufficient opportunity to practice and absorb the material. My only concern is that essential aspects of proficiency like past and future tenses are not introduced until quite late. Is this, I wonder, a tactic to keep students in the course and have them pay longer?
