A non-starter for the non-Facebook population. You Help (?) offered no alternatives for registering our creating an account.
Without email, service is dead on arrival.
I see an indicator that previously paid articles exist, but no way to get past the screen demanding $9.49. Not a very good way to entice users. No way to view new content that would be available if one paid subscription fee, or access content already purchased.
Thought it was like every other news app...just click & read. But nope....pay per article read. So it’s now deleted.
I can’t use Blendle at all because I can’t verify my email because I NEVER get the email. It always says it’s sent one but I never seem to get it. 2 days now still trying. Deleting it tomorrow.
When signing up through iPhone not all text will be visible but you have to wait before you get the registration confirmation email. App is good and clean, works good ! [edit] but too much hassle to up the credits... can't do it from Blendle so I'll simply just not do it.
I really want to read Washington Post but they haven’t updated that newspaper for 3 years. Lots or the recommendations are weeks or months old
The ability to "top up" via in-app purchase, while spends, seems fine.
Support quality journalism with micropayments. Articles from the Economist, New Yorker, etc. If you find the article misleading, poorly written, or unsatisfactory for any other reason, you can get a refund with no hassle.
Love Blendle!
Sometimes I read the articles from the emailed daily digest; other times I search for a headline I saw on the internet in order to chip in the $0.50 or so for the content. Love being able to support multiple sources of journalism without being locked into a subscription with one.
It’s quite pricy but I think it’s worth every penny. The curated selection of articles keeps me up to date with the news in the Netherlands and the Dutch view on news in the rest of the world. On top of that you’ll find fun articles on many subjects.
Het op maat gesneden lees plezier.
Het grote aanbod tijdschriften en kranten uit binnen-en buitenland!
Zou graag de tijdschriften Margriet
libelle en Story willen lezen desnoods
tegen extra betaling!
Veel success!
For years I’ve been wondering why newspapers won’t sell by-the-article access. I am a huge consumer of news and want to pay for journalism, but didn’t want to tie myself down to just one national paper. Problem solved! Adding money to your account is a little tedious but not too bad. And if you add $10, it’ll be awhile before you have to add more.
I would love to eventually be able to search for articles by title. But I’m so happy with the rest of the ap I don’t mind waiting!
I love this service!
I’ve been using this app since it was in beta stage and I love it. Read articles from most major newspapers and magazines by paying a small per article fee (most articles are 25 cents). this app has a very generous refund policy; if you accidentally click on an article or if you start reading and change your mind, you get full refund. This is the best multiple source news app that I’ve found using micropayments.

Great magazine writing is a gift which this app brings to the mobile age. Love it!
Best solution I’ve found to reading articles and rewarding the best in journalism.
Incredibly simple and beautiful format... carefully selected articles. I pay for a couple newspapers, but this is a way to get some access to articles from other major publications. With an on demand format, it’s merely pennies for high quality journalism that you could spend hundreds on, and curated for free. Very innovative.
One of the best apps I've seen lately. They have an awesome team, especially Emiel Janson, magnificent developer!
Can't wait until they launch in the U.S. Props!
Good concept and I like paying for journalism, but app needs a few tweaks. Not being able to copy text really hampers sharing with friends, and not being able to swipe from edge to return back is a regular annoyance.
Been using this app for a little while. The mobile site is great, but Blendle is a great, seamless way to view articles on the site. Article prices are fair and refund policy gives me confidence to buy articles I might be unsure about. Very happy with the product and look forward to what the platform will do in the future!
Although there are a few visual hiccups, this is a gorgeous app that I really enjoy using. It lets me read news from a variety of sources without breaking the bank on newspaper subscriptions. Surprise bonus -- because I'm paying for each article (generally less than a quarter, thus far never more than 50 cents), I have greater incentive to read the articles. Even with my NYT subscription, I often find myself saving articles to read later and then ... not reading them later.
I think this is a really interesting new model for funding great journalism, and I'm really eager to see how it develops.
This is a great way to consume content with a pay wall.
