I loved this feature, getting both addresses blended and delivered in date order. BUT one day I noticed this app had discontinued one of my accounts. I’ve tried and TRIED to re-add the second address with no success. I tried to go directly to that email account to see the activity there but I can’t access it because this app has control of it. This is my fervent cry: this app, please contact me or re-activate my second address! I’m begging you. I need to setup TeleHealth & I’m sure it was sent to my second address.
All this app subscribers should have access to a website that communicates answers to question AND an email address when the website doesn’t cover the issue.
Looks like Unibox hasn’t been updated in over a year.
As a result, many of the new iOS 13 things are missing: prebuilt shortcuts for one. Other things like authorization errors and other niggling issues make we want to throw Unibox away, but the organize by sender feature, is legitimate a game changer.
Just wish Unibox was given some attention to bring it in line with the latest operating systems and devices in the Apple mobile device ecosystem.
I tried Unibox because I was under the impression I could delete multiple old emails easily. You can delete all of them from a single sender but there’s not a way to keep a few or the latest one. I don’t see a way to recover deleted emails either. I also don’t see a way to file emails in my personal folders. Overall Unibox seems pretty confusing. The only advantage I see is that it groups all emails from one sender, however, it’s not even alphabetical but it lists all the senders you receive on a specific day.
Google sent me an email saying they were ending support for this app on July 15th, 2019. It’s almost August and it still works fine. If anything changes I’ll update my review.
The reviews about the scrolling bug are accurate, but it is rare for me and only happens on longer media rich emails.
I’d love to give Unibox 4 or 5 stars, but the developer doesn’t seem to update or pay attention to Unibox anymore. It’s still working great, but I have no idea if there will ever be another update.
Come on, developer. This is by far the best email client on iOS and macOS. Why have you abandoned the project? The desktop client has become unusable since it doesn’t support proper authentication methods that many email servers nowadays require. I can no longer use it at work as a result where we use Office365. Please update these apps. Make it a paid update for all I care.
Trying to get to an empty inbox. Unibox is close to having all the tools for me to do that. Two wishes:
1) Yes, emails are grouped by sender. But they are also grouped by week. Wish the date grouping could be edited. I coud do some serious clean up then.
2) Also wish there was a move to folder swipe option for contact like there is for individual messages.
Combine my two suggestions and I could really stay on top of my inbox and keep it clean. And I would give you 5 stars!
Feature one: sender’s entire history rises right to the top upon receipt of new email from that person. This is much more useful than you can possibly imagine.
Feature two: see all of that person’s attachments in either list or icon view in one screen with one tap. It is ASTOUNDING to me that no other company STILL has not offered these two features in the year anno domini 2019.
I had a brilliant idea, searched the web, and found Unibox which already does what I wanted to do: Sort your mailbox in a way that’s actually useful - something I every other mail client seems to fail to do. It’s missing keyboard commands and doesn’t make the best use of my iPad Pro 11” display, and it needs an update. I hope it gets one soon. I just bought the Pro upgrade. I’d be more than willing to pay a subscription in the area of $6 / year rather than $6 once if it was updated regularly to fix any bugs, support new devices and versions of iOS, etc. It doesn’t need many more features! It’s great.
From all the emails that I have used, this is the best. I love how it groups all the emails under all the same senders. This makes it very easy to locate any emails under the sender. The issues that I have are that it won't pull any emails until I open Unibox . It s scheduled to fetch every 15 minutes. Many hours passed, nothing was pulled. Then I opened Unibox , New emails showed up. I purchases Unibox to show my support. I hope the Developer does not abandon this l project. It has been a year no new updates to fix the the issues.
I purchased the pro version and I’m diving into it and so far enjoying it. I like the ability to customize the swipe actions—both the number or actions and the order.
However, my feedback and one feature missing for zero inbox is the ability to ‘swipe’ and move all contact emails to a folder. You can dive into an contacts list of emails and swipe to move, however, moving all emails is a contact is not an option.
I need this as I file my emails according to project/client and some how I thought this intuitive function would be there ready for me to use. But alas, it is not. Can this be added? I certainly will update my rating to five stars for this!
Can you imagine separating text threads by sent and received messages? Why would you do that with emails? this app is a simple and intuitive solution to this fundamental problem with virtually all email clients. A great product that I’ve used since it was first introduced. Well designed, highly effective search, rock solid. Love it.
OK, I have tried every email client available. I’m pretty sure that’s not even hyperbole. For the past few years I have been ping-ponging back-and-forth between Spark and Airmail, with Outlook thrown in. I used this app about five years ago (MOL) when they were just starting out. It had some interesting abilities as it groups emails by contact, but it also had too many features that were missing, especially mass delete. No longer.
This is the best client for someone who uses email primarily for personal or small business reasons. All the other email client are bloated with features designed for teams. When I worked in big(ger) business, there was so much email on which I was simply copied and the daily deluge was ridiculous. If that is your email life, a client that focuses on sorting email by conversation will probably be more relevant.
this app works very well for a small-business, self-employed person. If you are looking for a client to keep your personal email separate from the morass of business emails (which is a very smart idea), this is the ONE to use.
And the UI is gorgeous, the onboard help cleverly done, and the desktop version is free. The iOS price is right (I am happy to pay a small one-time fee to support development like this. Heck, I’d even pay $4.99 per year.) Congratulations, this app.
I don’t think I can ever go back to an email client that does not group messages by sender. this app is absolutely the best way to email. I typically want to take the same action per sender, so I save a ton of time with this app.
1 less star because I wish it had an iOS 13 dark theme and was able to set it as the Default Email app (iOS 14).
Puts all the information I need right where I need it. simple interface. I like that I can assign multiple addresses to my contacts under one entry, such as "newsletters" and then it all pops up under one group in the inbox so I can quickly prioritize my emails without having them disappear into folders.
2021 update: this app is awesome! It contains entire threads of conversations with images. Attachments? Easy to find. So simple to delete multiple e-mails from a particular sender at one time (great for accumulating junk). I need to use this one more often, as I'm always discovering new and useful features. All for a one-time fee? Just get it!
The icons and the grouping are great and make searching through your email to prioritize what you want to look at easier. However answering and forwarding emails is a little clunky, so I generally go over to my other email program to do that.
Works as advertised. It’s so much easier to handle my email with this application. I just wish they would release monthly updates to Unibox . There’s so much more they could do here to make my life even more delightful when it comes to dealing with my inbox.
I love this app. I’ve been using it for all my important business emails for years now. I love that it keeps track of email threads according to email address and not subjects. It makes following email conversations with clients so much easier. The look of it all is easy on the eyes and not confusing.
I needed a mailbox app that could group emails by sender. I somehow wasn’t able to find one until a friend references me to this app. I’m so glad that they did!
this app has every feature that I could want except for one though: Touch ID support. Devs, if you’re reading this, please look into integrating Touch ID support for secure access.
Amazing...I wanted to be able to find old emails and every song and picture ever sent to me by my brother whom recently passed.... This helped to make that dream easy and possible... Thank you❗️❕❗️❕
