Love this app... would love some updates

This is by far the best planner geared toward bullet journaling I’ve seen. I love so much about it. I love the week to week planner. It helps my brain stay focused, having the side by side function with lists readily available to plan my week. I use the lists for keeping up with routines, projects, focused lists, etc. I would like to be able to easily add certain lists directly to the planner and/or link to habits. I would also like to see a yearly overlook in the planner section, so it’s easier to see the bigger picture when planning seasonal/quarterly tasks (change air filter, etc). Lastly, I’d like to see more options in the lists for customization, like reset all function for cyclical/routine lists or being able to change the type of list to something other than bullet style. All in all, it’s a very well made app with a great design, but still has some room for improvement.

Hands down... BEST. PLANNER. EVER.

I am a person who heavily relies on planning their entire life. From work, school, and personal time, if I don’t plan my time to almost the second, I get overwhelmed. I first started off with a physical planner, but it was too heavy and annoying to carry around. I tried getting into digital planning to cut the weight and bought a couple of them that just didn’t do the job, the preset layouts just didn’t work for me.

Elisi IS AMAZING! So simple yet straight to the point. It may not be as visual as other apps, but I think that’s what’s good about it. It has all the major components you need to plan anything you need. If you need to jot down little reminders that you will need later on, plan your daily tasks, starting and keeping habits and goals, to managing projects, Elisi does it all.

THE BEST PART IS THAT IT’S ALL FOR FREE. I downloaded Elisi about 30 minutes before I wrote this review, and I am completely satisfied with Elisi.

Love it when it actually works

I’ve been looking for so long for an app that really fits my need for an all in one daily planner, journal, diary, habit tracker, to do list and this is finally my solution! I switch from iPhone to desktop throughout the day and can reflect back on progress and update as well as break out my boards from personal to professional work. My only complaint is the mobile app doesn’t load! It’s super frustrating and I’ve submitted a help desk ticket and emailed the company without a response it’s been months. I paid for the premium version to supper Elisi bc I love their product but I’m super bummed the mobile app won’t load. It’s fine on my desktop or mobile browser so I’ve just been using that from my iPhone and deleted Elisi . I had tried deleting and re downloading Elisi and there’s a lag to it like my data won’t show up but desktop is fine. Please fix this and reply to your customers questions!

Goals Help Please?

Elisi is AMAZING! It’s everything I’ve ever wanted in an app and every reason I ever bullet journaled with a heaping of extra convenience.

Hands down, the goals feature is what ties the entire app together. I love being able to filter a group of lists by their tied goals. <3

But...

1) Why can’t I make more than 3 goals? I have 4 goals, personally, but I’m artificially limited to 3.

2) The goals feature itself is oddly difficult to access. Why can’t I add goals in the goals focus menu? Or the settings? I have to go to one of my tasks (not even the list name) and add another goal through there? It’s so odd and difficult. I kept forgetting how to access it.

UPDATE: PLEASE bring back the old note system. ;( This new one is really inconvenient and impractical because

1) I cant pin notes

2) I have to scroll ALL THE WAY BACK UP tp click the bullet/numbering and format buttons. EVERY TIME. I write really long notes so it gets way too tedious!

3) It blocks out the rest of Elisi ! I need to reference my planning/list/habits while I write my notes. I tend to copy/paste parts of the other sections into my notes, but it’s extremely impractical to do so now. I loved being able to open the notes on the side while having the other sections active/visible — it was the absolute best part of the note feature!!!

Great but add events calendar please

I wanted to bullet journal, but I found that it was very inconvenient and time consuming. This is a fantastic digital alternative. It’s perfect for notes, habits, to do lists, and homework. I’m also in love with the workspace feature that lets me categorize tasks and habits between personal/school/work/etc. I do wish there was either a way to integrate it with my google calendar or to add an events section because that would make it so much easier to use, rather than going through the lists (also the ability to make events repetitive and at a specific time). I also would like a tab for goals. But overall this is a great app!

I have been looking for this for years

This is my dream tool to manage my schedule and tasks. I used to use a planner that enables project and habit tracking alongside a weekly schedule. Given the multiplicity of projects I have on my plate regularly, it was my only way of keeping sane and reducing work related anxiety.

I started using this app about 10 days ago. I thought I’d give it a try; like all the other applications that came before it, I did not expect it to substitute my manual system just supplement it. I was wrong!!

I did not open the planner this last week at all, because this app does it all and does it better. The visual design may not be up to some users’ expectations. To me it is a minor nuisance, I don’t care about that as much as I care about how Elisi does the job. The functionality of creating task lists (projects for me) and habits (daily tasks for me) and seeing where they fall in my schedule based on deadlines is all I needed. I connected my outlook calendar and voila!! Everything fell in its place.

I highly recommend this application to anyone who has a busy schedule that needs managing. It’s a chaos killer and an anxiety soother.

Keep up the great work this app Studios Inc., whoever and wherever you are; and thank you for finally making this possible.

I want to love it, but it’s clunky

UPDATED:
I want to love Elisi, I love all the features. But sometimes they are hard to accès (ex: goals). Also, Elisi limits how many broad goals I can make to 3, this limits my use in Elisi , and it gets clunky to use. I like the to do list and planner with the habits, I love the concept—but Elisi I want to love (and still use), but the more i use it, the more it gets a little more frustrating (in iOS version, maybe there are more options on desktop).

ORIGINAL: In order to keep my resolutions this year, I decided to get an app to track my habits. So, I tried out 6 apps and this one is by far my favorite. It’s easy to use, simple (although at the beginning it was a little clunky to figure out where everything is—I recommend Elisi developers create a separate tab for “goals”) and I enjoy that it also comes with tasks, goals, a daily to-do list, and habit tracker.

BEST PLANNER

I love Elisi, it’s everything you would hope to find in a planner type app, but the thing that blew me away is the fact that I can have Elisi on my iPad, phone, and MacBook. I mostly work out of my MacBook, but when I’m with clients, I have my iPad. But if I’m on the go, I only have my phone. It’s really amazing that it’s such a good app with no charge. The features are everything I need and more. I LOVE it.

I have two suggestions (suggestion...not a complaint). First it is to see the monthly view as an option and be able to use handwriting/pen and stickers on it. Second, I wish you could put a start date on habits. I finally completed all my habits and tasks and the next day I added a new daily habit, and it knocked out my 100% complete on the previous day.

Love this app!

Elisi is great, I love how simple or is while still having all the features I need. A lot of people on here have said they thought the green design was ugly, but personally I really like it. I also LOVE that there are no ads or subscription plans, especially since I am a broke college student who can’t justify paying a monthly fee for something as simple as a bullet journal.

The only complaint (if you could even call it that) that I have is that I don’t see the point of the achievements. There aren’t any awards/badges/etc. that you can unlock, so I’m not sure what the achievements even are. I’m not sure if I am missing something or if this feature will be added onto in the future, but it really isn’t even a problem, I’m just confused.

This thing is more than just your average bullet journal!

I’ve done some heavy bullet journaling using Notability, task management with Trello, personal finance with YNAB, and habit tracking with others, and they were fantastic and all, but I really craved for a one-stop-shop solution. This is it.

If you’re wondering whether Elisi will actually stick or not, I recommend giving it a download! There’s a super affordable annual subscription for unlimited storage/workspaces, but it’s not mandatory, so you can jump right in and see if Elisi benefits your lifestyle. If you’re like me and did organizing your life and keeping track of all aspects of it, this is your app!

I wish you all the success and peace of mind that you deserve. :]

Surprisingly really good

I downloaded Elisi at first just because I really liked the idea of having a homework planner that was connected on both my ipad and iphone but this ended up being more than that. It has a really simple and intuitive design yet it also includes a habit tracker, list, and a blog. If you’re like me who only really needed a planner, then this is the perfect app because the other stuff isn’t obtrusive at all however I did find myself going through the blog once in awhile. It’s actually quite a hidden gem and like everything else in Elisi, it seems like the developers really put a lot of thought and care into making it. Definitely a well designed app.

My absolute go-to

Finally, an app that lets me see the whole week at once, just like my bullet journal did - it’s essential for keeping my week balanced and not having things slip up on me. Being able to switch between the planner and lists is critical for me, and I especially love being able to see them side by side on the laptop, which is my ideal view. (Wish it could happen on iOS, but I understand why that’s too difficult.)

I’ve been using this since it first appeared, and it’s the only to-do app that I’ve stuck with, because of the easy weekly view, and the added features of the lists and trackers. It is truly stellar.

The one thing that Elisi desperately needs, ans I assume they’ll get to, is recurring tasks. And also, when you set a habit or recurring task, please let them be date-bound. Most of my habits or tasks happen for a specific period of time, and it bothers me that they back date into earlier months and years when they didn’t exist and look undone.

Thanks overall for a fabulous app!

This app does it all

The good: This is your one stop shop for productivity and personal goal achievement. At the highest level of Elisi, you have goals, which are your big picture outcomes you’re aiming at, within that you have lists, which are like projects that you can attribute to a goal, and within that you have tasks, which can be assigned to dates on a daily to do list. It has a desktop version as well to stay updated on your PC.

The not so good: The calendar integration is hard to set up perhaps due to glitches that will be fixed).

Overall, I’ve really enjoyed my experience and I look forward to continuing to build my life into Elisi.

Excellent Digital Representation of the Bullet Journal

Just like the headline says, this is an awesome digital version of the bullet journal. If you could sketch free hand notes, there would be no reason to keep a notebook.

TL;DR - This is a super simple, no frills organization app that functions like a notepad.

Pros:
- Web app (can’t stand it when productivity apps are mobile only)
- Daily/weekly/monthly planning is all perfectly translated
- Recurring tasks with notifications
- Tasks have details, subtasks, and can be grouped into lists
- Notes with full text search

Cons:
- No integrations (a basic calendar integration would go a long way)
- No sharing lists/tasks/notes/anything
- No additional task/list taxonomy (tags, labels, etc.)

The Bullet Journal is a great way to simplify your task management and streamline productivity, and Elisi gives you exactly that. However, there are a lot of missing features that most every modern task manager has implemented, hence the 4 stars. It’s still an awesome app, especially being free.

Love it! Just what I was looking for.

I’ve only had this a few days, but I love it already. It’s just what I’ve been looking for since I got my first iPad, a good seven or so years ago. I love that everything I want is in one app and I don’t have to open a succession of 5 different apps to track my progress. The only thing that would make it perfect for me is If I could track things like my blood pressure readings or glucose measurements. But even so having to open just one more app is better than what I was dealing with. It’s great being able to review everything at glance

Best planner!! ❤️

I really, really love this planner. This planner by far is the best planner app you can run into. It is very efficient and simple to use. It is not like other planner apps that are overly detailed and complex. You can get everything that you need quickly. It has notes, planner, list, and habit tabs above everything which makes it easy to find and helps your life stay organized on the go. What I actually like about Elisi is that you can combine your list and notes that you’ve made for that day to your planner tab on the date you want them to be.

potential for this app to get better , but stick to paper now

I really wanted to use this because I’m mostly no paper , trying to be more sustainable. But a girl needs to be organized and journals help .

It’s nice in the idea but you cant customize past 5 templates they give you . I wish you could make new templates or something . I needed to track a lot of medical stuff and I wanted to try it this way . Unfortunately I paid premium for the year and now I’m stuck with it . Not sure if I can cancels the months I no longer will be using .

It’s a beautiful platform and if you want to start bullet journaling it’s a great start but I think it’s limited. Also couldn’t put calendar stuff easily from email etc.

Not bad

i use Elisi for school, it works well as a homework planning app. and it doesn’t restrict the amount of events and assignments you can make and put on your calendar. it also has a nice habits function where you can check every day that you do something. its very visually welcoming, the color palette is simple and the calendar format is pleasant and easy to read. im not a robot idk what i should do to prove that but i will say i dont write reviews over nothing, only when i mean it. i havent found a better app for homework or scheduling. most of them charge a monthly rate bbut this one doesnt.

Really like it

I like it. I think it’s really simple and helpful. I would like to see color coding for tasks and sub tasks.

Update - they’ve added sub tasks but I wish there was an option to see all the sub tasks on the Main planner just indented. I’ve used Elisi for over a year now and it’s straightforward and nice to use.

Update - I really wish there was a weekly and monthly to do list. There are things that I do weekly that I don’t want to stick on to any particular day. Same with monthly tasks. I wish there was a break out for that.

Can’t get enough of this app

I never write reviews but I HAD to on this one. I have downloaded so many mainstream planners and productivity apps and I’ve either found them too confusing or couldn’t get the hang of using them on a daily basis. What I love about Elisi is how clean everything is. I have been using Elisi for months now on a daily basis and I absolutely LOVE it! It’s easy to use, minimal and yet has everything you might need. Thank you so much for Elisi, especially it being all free. Major kudos to the developers.
