- May not cover all areas as data is provided by a grassroots network

- App interface could use some improvement, such as the ability to center on user's location or set alerts to always be at user's location

- Map struggles to load older lightning strikes when zooming in and out

- App may not work as well in mountainous areas due to blockage from the mountains to the detectors

- Lack of explanation for the meaning of the data dots that show up on the map
