This is quite literally the worst app I have ever used (and I never write bad reviews). It simply doesn’t work and has about 8000 errors! Was it ever beta tested? Like seriously? What makes it more frustrating is I have to use MyUnum for work leave when I don’t feel well and the last thing I want to do is to deal with app that looks like it was made by first graders. And I am being disrespectful to the first graders by saying that.

UNUM is either predatory or negligent. This company has me jumping through hoops trying to get a straight answer to anything. It’s impossible to talk to a real person, so you have to hope you don’t miss a call. No callback, the phone number robot tells you to go to the website, no contact form - no way to communicate. They don’t respond to emails. Their claim forms are poorly designed so inevitably you put something in wrong. It’s impossible to make any progress on a claim.

My condolences to anyone trapped in working with them - I hope you can pay your bills without them during a medical leave, because you’re not getting the service you pay for.

MyUnum always has technical difficulties when I go to see documents for a previously filed claim. Just tells me to logout then I get no where. When I called for help I was just directed to the same thing then told to not use MyUnum just go to the browser. What’s the point of MyUnum if it doesn’t work and I’m directed to use a browser.

It’s the worst app nothing ever uploads ;you have to update it every single time you click on it, like it has lag, and then tells you, you need to update after you tried. Nonstop loading issues where it actually never loads. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn’t change anything. Complete junk just like the company.

Unum!! You should be absolutely ashamed!! You are a multi billion dollar company multiple multi billion dollar companies rely on you to do a service for their employees and you get paid for that service and you can’t even get your app right for some people, this is life and death do better. I don’t know how many times I’ve had to reopen and restart MyUnum or take MyUnum off my phone and put MyUnum back on at your request because your app is frozen. It won’t do anything it’s not showing documents, etc. get it together.!!!!

Terrible app. Is this a legit company? If I open any letters to check it goes straight to tech difficulties & locks me out. Updating absences doesn’t move a dial so no ability to record. And the company’s customer support is so far around the world I cannot translate the phone conversation to update information or receive information. This has been a horrible experience through & through. Terrible app, terrible communication & service & is not a benefit at all. Total waste of time, effort & money to do business with this company.

App never works. I get emails saying I have a letter in my portal with important information but constantly get errors on MyUnum and the site on the computer gets confuses and crashes. The email messages I get come in at the end of the day on Friday so can’t even reach service to get access to this “important” letter that requires my attention. Messing with someone’s income when they are on disability and making it impossible for that person to stay compliant is unacceptable and unethical.

I’ve been trying to check my coverage to find out if a dentist is in network. One of the phone numbers goes directly to a recording saying that there is a computer glitch, and immediately hangs up. The other one goes to a voice telling you that there’s computer glitch, then asks for the name of your employer, THEN hangs up. There’s no email, the website won’t load, and MyUnum gives absolutely no information.

After 15-20 minutes of filling the forms step by step for a claim, MyUnum just goes “login to continue” and it loses everything. It doesn’t even let me resume from a previous work in progress claim. I can load movies at 4K in an instant but MyUnum takes a solid minute to load a page. Just open a laptop and do the work on their site. This is terrible.

The Unum website has my dental claim data; MyUnum shows no data. When I called their 800 number, the auto responder has options for life, disability etc. but nothing for dental; and pressing zero is an invalid entry; there’s no option for talking to an agent - not even a bot. My dentist just gave me a blank stare when I said I have Unum insurance, they’ve never heard of it. Can’t imagine what rock the HR dept found Unum under.

I downloaded MyUnum because I’m actually off on FMLA, but I can only get it to load correctly about 10% of the time! Have kept it updated and still get “technical difficulties on our end” constantly. So frustrating!!!

MyUnum always has loading issues; ie it doesn’t load. not sure if it’s my company or the awful insurance company, but being able to file a claim within the time frame without being told about how the process is gonna go, IS NOT SIMPLE. first time applicant here! had difficulty with MyUnum with the website and uploading a claim. worst experience, made me feel like i shouldn’t have left work to get a surgery i NEEDED. app is a piece of junk.

Most times logging in is a hassle with system maintenance messages in progress and not being accessible.

Calling the call center is even more confusing when you want to talk to a live person and get the run around with auto mated system.

UNUM representatives are helpful and knowledgeable about my needs. Any time I call for information, they are always available rather quickly.

Ethan, has been working diligently on my case. Starting with my short term disability. Now he has been taken care of my long term disability. Excellent customer service. Than you UNUM!!🌞

Easy to upload paper from my doctor

I am fairly new to using MyUnum and every time I have to go in to complete a task. It has been very simple. If I need to use UNUM in the future, I have confidence that I will be able to complete the task that is ahead of me, thank you for making MyUnum so easy to use and I appreciate the support when I need it.
