SL-Journey planner and tickets Reviews

I used to love SLJourneyplannerandtickets because it always showed the walking part to the final destination and which side of street for the bus stop. Now it doesn't show the end point of the search on the journey map, just the start and end points of the subway, bus, tram, etc used in the route selection. The map is useless unless you are looking for a major attraction. Google maps doesn't always have the best walking map (sometimes it shows impossible paths unless you can leap tall buildings in a single bound) and shows a straight line for a bus route. Guess I should go old school with a map.

On the latest version I am no longer able to click into the map, making it impossible to find where exactly my bus stop is. Please re-enable this feature from the old version.

It has potential, all of the components are there, but it just isn’t useful for anything. None of my cards work to pay for tickets, it was slow to even tell me it was failing. It’s route creation is not very optimized, Google maps beats it by a long shot. It wants me to take 1 bus and 3 trains and Google maps can just have me take 2 buses which is way cheaper and still gets me there a minute earlier. I just don’t see a use for SLJourneyplannerandtickets in its current configuration

Worked great for us. Very convenient for buying tickets, and the planning features were very useful as well. I don’t understand the bad reviews. We used it throughout our one week stay in Stockholm, and it was very useful. My highest recommendation.

Everything seems to work but ability to buy a ticket! I have ios12.4 I keep getting a technical error when I go to choose number of tickets or if I try to enter credit card info.

It’s crazy how one of the most well known cities in the world can have such a terrible transportation app. You’re not even able to buy tickets in advance and there are so many glitches and other issues. This has been persisting for months now.

I entered all 5 different credit cards I have and it rejected every single one. Even though SLJourneyplannerandtickets claimed authorization failed, I called my bank an they said no authorization request ever came through on their end. Has basically made using public transit in Stockholm impossible.

When will SL enable us to to store the SL-access cards or any other tickets in apple wallet instead of just another app?

We tried to register several cards (from four different issuers in the US and two in Iceland) but all were rejected by the Swedish payment service SL uses (called PayEx). Renders SLJourneyplannerandtickets pretty useless as Google has better transit instructions.

I got stuck at the credit card payment screen twice - it’s just not working for any of my cards.

Its card processor apparently doesn’t accept American credit cards (or maybe none at the moment). Tried three. Useless.

Time inaccurate, can only purchase single journey tickets. Plain trash

Bus arrivals/departures are always wrong, I miss my bus most mornings so have stopped using it.

Tried a Swedish MasterCard, a Dutch MasterCard and a US Visa. All confirmed on my banks’ side but SLJourneyplannerandtickets gives an error.

I went into SLJourneyplannerandtickets to see when the next train left, and it didn't automatically select my nearest location, so I am standing in the cold for 10 minutes. (First world problems). It's been wrong more than once and gives very poor suggestions for routes.

Would be nice to have some basic features such as, save routes, real time etc.
-2 stars because SLJourneyplannerandtickets has been crashing intermittently ever since iOS 9.x beta started and still now with public release.

Crashes on start every time. I have the latest OS update. Had to remove and reinstall to fix.

Doesn't accept any American credit cards. what is the point of submitting SLJourneyplannerandtickets to the American App Store for use by Americans if Americans cannot use their credit cards? Garbage garbage garbage.
