VICENews is showing me news from October 7th as the latest stuff in any given category. I'm writing this review on December 30th. been an issue for quite a while and I stopped checking VICENews for quite some time because of it. i was hoping it might be working again by now but ... nope. why? what's up? hard to praise a news app that doesn't show you current news. i like vice's reporting a lot in general but you have to stick to the web version and not this broken app. maybe it's iOS 10?? anyway don't get this.

I love Vice News. They carry stories you won't read elsewhere and are unbiased for the most part. They've got some great reporters and their documentaries are top notch. Unfortunately their app falls far short of what I'd expect from Vice. I used to think it was because I had an older iPhone, but since getting the 6 it's made little difference. Crashes often and a lot of the time mine won't update and load new stories. For an alternative news source that is especially popular amongst young people (who get most of their news online) it's ridiculous that they haven't fixed VICENews yet. Had to give 1 star because these problems have been going on way to long. Come on Vice, you've got reporters risking their lives to find the truth; you owe it to them to do all you can to get their stories out there. Would love to change this review if u fix your app.

I love Vice news and vice news tonight. I also love that it’s free in VICENews with commercials. What I don’t love is that VICENews constantly crashes. In watching 1 20 minute video I received the following: double ads, show playing while the ad was also playing, black screen with sound, and a good old fashioned full on app crash. Love Vice news and would like to change this to 5 stars if they can get it together. Also more Isobel Yeung would be great.

I love, love, love watching Vice News tonight. When they were on HBO my wife and I watched every single episode with excitement as it couldn’t come fast enough. Their reporting is top notch and they give fast and accurate info to our ever-changing world. Unfortunately, I’ve been watching from VICENews and not only do they pummel you with tons of ads, but there is actually only 4-5 different ads that play. Sometimes I’ll get the same 1 or 2 ads 10+ times in a row. My ears literally hurt to hear them. I’ve viewed each ad well over 100+ times and I despise them. If you want me to avoid your product/business for eternity sign up to put your ad on VICENews. This seems like punishment for your loyal fans. Aside from the frequency of the same few ads, the videos frequently cut off before they are finished. Although annoying, this isn’t my main complaint for leaving the review.

Had VICENews for over a year now, Vice covers important news unlike most other popular news outlets, which is why I enjoyed VICENews.
But now it seems that VICENews (or possibly something else) has been incredibly slow updating with new news stories. When the main pages update at all, it only updates with one or two stories every time I use VICENews . The news sections haven't updated even so far as last November.
I don't know if other users are experiencing this problem or if this just an individual issue for me.

The Vice news application is a solid source of representation for the popular news brand in providing detailed articles on the facets of daily life for people and regions around the world. VICENews can be used to read stories on politics, economies, crimes, technology and more. VICENews also provides access to documentaries on today's world that are both long and short in length. Users can set push notifications for breaking news and share content with others as well. A drawback of VICENews is that it is designed for the iPhone so iPad users will notice the old UI design and the downgrade in resolution quality from universal applications. Still VICENews does a good job in it's most important function which is to display content that allows the public to get a better grasp on the ongoings in today's world.

Love me some Vice. The UI/UX is well thought out. The reporting is fantastic in multiple mediums. Unfortunately the video news content will not play after the second ad break. In a 43 minute episode, that gets you about 10 minutes in. The rest of VICENews is solid. Curious if Comcast could be metering or blocking content after a period of time since VICENews would compete with their cable service? Hope this gets resolved! Will keep updating.

Look, I understand you guys try to deliver the news. I open your app and there is news there!

I open the sections tab and the most recent story is from OCT 2016 in all of the sections.

EDIT: I just opened VICENews again and I am disappointed to see that the different sections (i.e. world news, technology, whathaveyou) are no longer there. That's a bummer. Revised from 2 to 3 stars.

I definitely love the sleek and simple design of VICENews . Makes it a lot easier to navigate the menu options. So far I only have to problems with it: I would love to see VICENews move over onto tablets than just be used on the iPhone. Second, I would like to be able to have push notifications for certain topics, such as the Ukrainian Conflict, for when the topic has something new posted about it.

I love Vice. I really do. They always have the best news and inside news, domestically and internationally. Their show and videos are great also. It's just their app here is always closing randomly when I'm in the middle of reading an article! :/ Please fix?

Just downloaded the new Vice News app today (recent subscriber!) and I must say that the designers did an incredible job with apparently "getting it right" the first time. So many new apps are released with a horrible UI, but it's clear the Vice app developer spent a lot of time & attention to developing an app that is clean and simply "works" from the moment it's installed. No need for the tireless registration called upon by many other news apps, and the smooth in-article video player deserves 👍👍. Keep it up!!!

VICENews is one of the best news apps, or even one of the best apps I have. It provides a number of stories that aren't being talked about by other news networks, it showcases some of the hidden issues with the world, Vice News is the modern day mud raker that we all need. VICENews is clean and simple, no ads and no distractions; this is a great app that I would strongly urge everyone to download today. And btw I'm a normal person, I wasn't payed to do this or anything, it's just a good app.

Sleek and simple are the two words that evoke the most accurate description of VICENews. With easy-to-navigate content screens and pinpoint accuracy of app fluidity, there is honestly not much left to improve on VICENews.

Very much worth money, though it is available for free. World news from the frontline is more available than ever. I love what VICE has done.

Just started using it--I'll update if need be.
My phone is still running iOS 9.3, so I haven't updated to 9.3.1 or 9.3.2, and I haven't wanted to while I'm not experiencing any bugs. I saw a couple reviews below me about bugs, one suggesting that 9.3.1 could be the specific problem. Anyone on 9.3.2 should comment if it does/does not work.

I have been watching the show a while now and I must say I was not let down by VICENews. I was tired and frustrated with other "news" apps because everything was advertisement or could never get the whole story with out creating an account. So far I love VICENews
