I’ve been using this for 7 months since I started Anytime & it’s never worked 100% correctly for tracking visits. Filter function doubles some days, skips some days - then says I’m there at a time or date I know I wasn’t. I know since Jan I’ve been to gym 91 times b/c I’m doing a 100 visit challenge. Gym tracked it for me. By this app though, it’s counting 47 visits when I filter Jan 2018 thru today. (Annoying that it defaults to 2002 & you have to scroll all the way down to 2018)! Also can’t save settings so always changing it to rule out tanning & limit to one visit per day. But since half the time it doesn’t work right guess it doesn’t matter. Don’t know why I’m still keeping it.
Generally pretty terrible app
This app really isn’t that good. Doesn’t seem o sync correctly with the MyFitnessPal or MapMyFitness apps that it claims to be compatible with. Also pretty terrible that it doesn’t seem to be compatible with an Apple Watch. I’ve gone the route with their tech support people and after 2 weeks got nowhere. About the only thing this app does seem to sync is the number of visits to the gym I’ve made. Won’t sync workouts. Would be nice to even have a force sync option so goals got updated, but guess I won’t hold my breath on that. **Updated: app has stopped syncing workouts again. Definitely not an app to rely on for much of anything. Use other trackers if you really want to monitor your progress.
The app has worked great for me from day one. All I really use it for is my check ins. My only suggestion would be to have the ability to see your payment history and to be able to email/print it out like you can with the check ins. It would make things super easy for people who turn those in for incentive purposes through work/insurance or whatever the case is. I can’t always get ahold of someone at the gym for my payment history print out.
This app gets me exclusive access to my AF coach. She sends me customized workouts several times a week that are awesome! Total body workouts that kick my rear-end! This app allows my coach to see that I’m actually doing what we agreed on and hold me accountable for it. Just what I need! This app and my coach have completely changed everything for me and my fitness routine at a fraction of what all these online Personal Trainers charge AND I get to see her in the gym too!
Great range of workouts
I have used this app for 2 weeks and it is helping me stay on track with fitness goals. The “Workout” app has tons of choices to help you plan and has a nice way to schedule your plans for many weeks out. Good videos clips for each exercise as some of these routines are new to me. I rate it 4.5 overall, but will give it a 5 since it’s free!
Great for chatting with my trainer
I joined a 3 week challenge at my local gym and being able to chat with the trainer has been super helpful. She has been super supportive and pushes me if I didn’t get my exercise in for the day. I’m already down 2lbs! The group I work out with is also fun but it would be great if we could also be connected together like I am with my trainer. I have had stints with going to gyms my whole life. The apps they have are basic stuff like booking, some workouts, and mostly marketing junk. This is different, better, and I didn’t even know this was a thing until I joined the challenge.
No Apple Watch Integration
The app has some nice features but is not super intuitive. For example I was manually moving through exercises only to accidentally find out that I could swipe through them. I also didn’t know you had to swipe to end the workout. There was a message but it disappeared before I could read it. Most important failure is the lack of support for the Apple Watch on an app that is designed for the Apple platform. This just seems cheap and lazy.
I sure hope it’s better
Seeing a lot of the comments from a good year ago… Talking about functionality etc.… I really hope and pray they have addressed a lot of those requests and concerns in the app… Going to give it three stars for the benefit of the doubt right now… Truly hoping to give it five in a month after I have used it for a minute.
This app has been good up until now. I just noticed that not all my visits are being logged on that app yet I keyed in because otherwise the door wouldn’t have let me in. It only started with last month and didn’t log in my visit from today. Don’t know what that’s about.
Without tracking anything from my Apple Watch this is basically useless other than I can stay accountable for how many times I’m visiting the gym. It does not even sync with MapMyRun the way it is with My Fitness Pal all of the data is incorrect.
Helpful for getting back into it..
The app helps keep me on track and in contact with my coach. 6 pounds down so far! Otherwise I would skip a workout so easily and a week flys by without doing a thing.
Wrong time zone for Work out reminders
I used to live in Nevada and moved to South Carolina. When i schedule a workout i get a text reminder still set in Nevada time zone. I don’t know how to fix this and neither do the personnel at my local gym. It would be nice if they would fix the issues at hand. After over hearing another person at the gym today I see I’m not the only one who is having issues with this app. Please fix the bugs guys.
Where do I start?!?!
Although it has a pleasant dashboard, it seems it is lacking quite a bit. First of all, the syncing with MyFitnessPal and MapMyFitness is not happening. Secondly, it gives you options to sync different devices, yet it kicks me to MFP or MMF, which show I am logged into Garmin Connect. Basically the esthetics of the app need to be fixed. Good idea, but let’s streamline getting it to work properly with all options.
I think it would be nice to open the app and see how many people are currently at my home gym so I can plan accordingly and get a schedule planned with less people.
More Devices to connect to
It would be better if the app could connect to more devices such as an Apple Watch. The apple watch tracks your activity and would be more convenient to have the information automatically upload from the Apple Watch to the app.
