First ride but very impressed so far

I bought my first Kinetic bike trainer since we won’t be going to the gym this winter. I’ve been using Zwift since I got it and while it worked and was ok I just wasn’t supper impressed with the ERG mode as it was made more to follow a certain training workout rather than the terrain and the videos weren’t real. I road the Windsor Great Park ride tonight and I love this app’s HD real videos of real places so you actually get to ride places you may or may not ever get to visit and the ERG mode really seemed to follow the video and displayed grade very well. Also this was the first ride since getting the trainer were my average speed inside matched what I normally average outside. I look forward to more rides to explore different trails! One Con I just realized about this app is it doesn’t upload your rides to their server so you can’t review your past rides on another device as past rides only reside on the device were you were running the app at the time. You can get around this limitation by having it automatically upload your rides to Strava or one of the few other options.

Another app in the quiver for indoor riding

I used to use a Tacx Bushido trainer along with the supported videos. Then I used it with separate workout videos. This year I upgraded my trainer to a Cycleops Hammer. I joined Zwift. It’s nice but its zone based for the workouts and I decided to look around for another way to use the Hammer. I did t see any review on this ap mention a trainer other than the bkool but I decided to try it anyhow. This ap is compatible with the Cycleops Hammer trainer. It found it immediately and I have done some quick test rides and everything worked flawlessly between the ap and the Hammer. Now I have another arrow in my quiver of training software. All I have to do now is find an ap that will allow me to manually control the resistance levels in grades for the Hammer and I will have my training desires all set up. This ap is a definite plus to have.

Using to train for Triathlon

Really like this app. I use with a Wahoo Kickr Snap for my tri training now that the weather is getting rough in CT. The videos have really good quality and are a good mix of circuits, mountains and flat courses (mostly in Australia). I really like that most videos are curated as I found the ones on Kinomap poor. Also i feel very good responsiveness when pushing hard on hills/sprints which for me is key for realism. This is not a game like Zwift (where you ride with other users) or has a lot of structured workouts like Sufferfest (I also use both) but for me it definitely helps to “ride” a video as it helps killing time during long sessions. Sufferfest has videos but you just watch them while doing your structured workout. As mentioned by other reviewer I hope that they keep adding high quality videos to the existing library.
