Lots of well-shot apps from all over the world, conveniently cataloged. Unfortunately many problems with FulGaz . Poor layout: after you select a vid and download it, you have to back up to couple the trainer & sensors, then bring up the vid again before you can start. Latest bug: vid downloading broke about a week ago. When you start to download a vid, it proceeds for a while and then stalls and FulGaz locks up. Identical problem on both iPads I own, and for all this app vids. Have to stream vids instead. After not getting back to you for several days, “Customer Support” tells you to try something that they already asked you to try and you had reported that it didn’t work! Too many other issues to detail here.

This thing NEVER connects to my wahoo sensor. Being told right off the bat to wait 30 seconds or more (???) or more (??) and then a list of excuses why it might not connect, and then it never connects, when the wahoo connects almost instantly to their own app is really frustrating. It’s a 5 min waste of time at the beginning of every workout with this fruitless attempt to get the sensor to work. Everything I’ve read says it SHOULD work.... Rides are nice, but being told I’ve ridden 10 miles when in reality it’s probably only 2.6 isn’t helpful. The problem isn’t my ipad, my bluetooth or my sensor.

I started out on Zwift, but found myself a little tired of just being an avatar in a CGI world. I still ride on Zwift sometimes, but more often on this app. I like the fact that I can say “I think I want to ride in Italy today” or sometimes I just want to set a mileage limit, so I look for rides of 20-25 miles. I like that I now know more about what the world looks like by riding there. I know a little about what the Canary Islands or Mallorca look like, and feel like. Four stars, not five, for the following two reasons. 1.) automatic uploads to Garmin would be so nice. Having to download a fit file, copy it to my phone, then upload it just feels unnecessary. 2.) I do not use the structured workouts due to the fact that they have to be ridden in steady mode, which is inaccurate for keeping track of mileage and elevation gain which I track in Garmin Connect. I do like the fact that if you buy a year-long subscription you get “Family Sharing” for free. I let my son-in-law ride on my account, which has been fun.

I was looking for something other than intervals to brighten sessions on my turbo trainer. Zwift didn’t do it for me and I needed something to help improve my climbing. The i found this app - which offered a sweet, full featured 14 day trial. Nothing to lose I have given it a go and am loving it!! Real world videos that adapt to my speed / power - perfect!! I knock off one star as the user interface is less slick than the competition, but otherwise love it.

This would probably be a 5 star review. I had two issues: a crash during a workout and my h2 cadence sensor doesn’t work quite right. Other programs such as Zwift and rouvy and dead on, but this app jumps around 20 rpm — I know it is not user error and can tell the difference between 65 rpm and 85rpm.
Overall the experience is better than others I have tried such as kinomap and rouvy. I don’t compare this to Zwift as Zwift is more gamification vs actually riding. The videos and great and consistent quality.
The only improvement would be a better search function on the iPad. I usually soft my distance and scroll, but it would be nice to limit out shorter routes.

So far in my day 1 trials this thing beats Zwift. I did the demo ride in Zwift and felt no tension changes. However, with this one it was definitely felt. Both uphill and down felt appropriate changes in tension. The videos are more interactive and realistic. Zwifts graphics are pretty basic and hard to draw you in. The social aspect and the zone training is probably best part of Zwift and it is more mature than this with its integrations with Apple Watch. But with a little tweaking and refining this product could run away with the show. Videos need some improvement in quality, accuracy and interactivity, the digital voice is annoying and the social aspect is weak on FulGaz. All other things excel.

I bought my first Kinetic bike trainer since we won’t be going to the gym this winter. I’ve been using Zwift since I got it and while it worked and was ok I just wasn’t supper impressed with the ERG mode as it was made more to follow a certain training workout rather than the terrain and the videos weren’t real.
I road the Windsor Great Park ride tonight and I love this app’s HD real videos of real places so you actually get to ride places you may or may not ever get to visit and the ERG mode really seemed to follow the video and displayed grade very well. Also this was the first ride since getting the trainer were my average speed inside matched what I normally average outside. I look forward to more rides to explore different trails!
One Con I just realized about this app is it doesn’t upload your rides to their server so you can’t review your past rides on another device as past rides only reside on the device were you were running FulGaz at the time. You can get around this limitation by having it automatically upload your rides to Strava or one of the few other options.

After dropping several thousand dollars on the wahoo kickr, climb, headwind, TV and apple TV to “experience” new technology I’ve heard about with Zwift, I was frustrated thinking that I actually licked my old school trainer better. But then I found this app. Wow! This is the real deal and not a game. And best of all, it actually works flawlessly with Kickr. Never could get it to work with Zwift after several calls to support. this app set up in a couple of minutes and provides a real road ride experience.

I am 68. I am in good shape but not looking to keep up with the high watt riders. this app has a great variety of rides and excellent controls for modifying the difficulty of rides. We have a KICKR bike which works fine with this app. We bought the year subscription and we both have our own profile. The videos are wonderful to watch. I definitely work harder following the ride than I would if I was just pedaling to music.

I used to use a Tacx Bushido trainer along with the supported videos. Then I used it with separate workout videos. This year I upgraded my trainer to a Cycleops Hammer. I joined Zwift. It’s nice but its zone based for the workouts and I decided to look around for another way to use the Hammer.
I did t see any review on this ap mention a trainer other than the bkool but I decided to try it anyhow.
This ap is compatible with the Cycleops Hammer trainer. It found it immediately and I have done some quick test rides and everything worked flawlessly between the ap and the Hammer.
Now I have another arrow in my quiver of training software. All I have to do now is find an ap that will allow me to manually control the resistance levels in grades for the Hammer and I will have my training desires all set up.
This ap is a definite plus to have.

If you miss the scenic views of the outdoors during the winter or a rainy day then FulGaz is something you will enjoy. A wide variety of rides in many different parts of the world. In the proper mode the video on the screen will adapt to your speed. You can also challenge other riders using the challenge mode. You will some very scenic rides and you can choose from all types of terrain. Mike is also quick to resolve any technical problems you may have.

I have been using this app for several years on my Wahoo KCKR Bike. Love the ride feel and the great videos. Customer support is fabulous. I recently had an HDMI hardware issue with my second monitor. Even though the problem was not software related, customer support was quick to get back to me and was strategic in helping me identify and remedy the issue. Great customer support for an already great product!

My husband and I have used FulGaz for 2 years, and love it. We live in Minnesota, so there are a lot of months where riding outside isn’t the best choice. Using FulGaz during the winter helps us stay in shape and ready to ride in the spring. I love the diversity of rides available - it’s great to find a sunny beach ride for days when it's -14 and snowing 😏 I would say that the rides on FulGaz are mostly challenging and good to work on your climbing skills. 5 stars!

Depends on what a cyclist likes in an app, when outdoor riding isn’t happening. This cyclist prefers an indoor app that simulates that outdoor ride as much as possible. Just like an outdoor ride, sometimes you go hard, and sometimes you need to recovery. Hill work, mountain climbing, TT runs, riding solo, or with a pack, short rides, long rides; this app has them all. I have a number of cycling apps that I pay for, and this app is the one I use 99% of the time.

FulGaz makes you feel like you are doing the real ride. this app provides a life-like experience, and an amazing variety of ride lengths and intensity. The scenery is spectacular, and the climbs have gotten me in the best cycling shape of my life at the age of 60. I am a better rider with FulGaz than I was before I started using it. The periodic “stage races” are highly motivational and I look forward to riding these races by posting my times against other people from across the world. 5 Stars to this app and Mike Clucas!

I recently purchased a Keiser m3i bike and was super excited to download this app and ride around the world from my living room. I’ve used FulGaz twice now and while I enjoy riding in different countries around the world, I was annoyed that no matter how difficult my gear was or how fast I pedaled, my mileage on the this app app did not adjust or match to the mileage on the Keiser m3i. The ride paused all together when I completely stopped pedaling, but it does not appear to account for when you’re working harder as a rider. Any thoughts on this being updated in the future?

Accustomed to 2-3 hours of tennis 5-6 days a week, while ‘staying home’ I’ve repurposed an old exercise bike with a cadence meter and started testing this app. It is terrific for great video, much like I find when running on an expensive treadmill at the gym. It was easy to set up, spent 2 sessions before I got the sensor in tune, and now am a convert to FulGaz. Good reason to buy a more sophisticated trainer, with the advantages of speed and heart rate monitor — but at this point, when we are still locked down, even with only the cadence meter, it is very motivating. Great appl.

Really like FulGaz. I use with a Wahoo Kickr Snap for my tri training now that the weather is getting rough in CT. The videos have really good quality and are a good mix of circuits, mountains and flat courses (mostly in Australia).
I really like that most videos are curated as I found the ones on Kinomap poor. Also i feel very good responsiveness when pushing hard on hills/sprints which for me is key for realism.
This is not a game like Zwift (where you ride with other users) or has a lot of structured workouts like Sufferfest (I also use both) but for me it definitely helps to “ride” a video as it helps killing time during long sessions. Sufferfest has videos but you just watch them while doing your structured workout.
As mentioned by other reviewer I hope that they keep adding high quality videos to the existing library.

I started back riding seriously 6 months ago. Armed with a new carbon bike and a tacx new smart trainer I set out to test every app I could find for use indoors. After trying over a dozen apps I find I consistently seem to log more time per ride on this than any other app. It just seems to keep me riding more than the others without getting bored. I also find the ride feels more realistic than some others as transitions from flat to a grade are gradual and smooth and effort is consistent with what I feel outside for similar effort and grade. I have also to give Mike props for his support. I have emailed him many times with questions and although he doesn’t know me from Adam, he always responded promptly and with courtesy. Overall a great app with a rapidly increasing library of rides. Will definitely be my go to this winter season.

I also recently purchased a Keiser M3i bike. I did the trial and enjoyed this app. I also experienced some pairing issues. In my case there appeared to be data dropouts. I found out that I had some other “Bluetooth” devices activated. When I turned off the other Bluetooth devices, the ride was very smooth. Also check that your Converter is up to date with the Converter Updater App from Keiser. I have used the free trials on several spin bike apps and decided this one is the one for me.
