I think our guides make was Raphael, he was very knowledgeable and gave us a very detailed explanation of Krakows history as we were driving through Krakow towards Auschwitz.

The booking process was smooth and straightforward, and I was able to easily select the date and time that suited me and my family best.

Horrible Experience with this App - be warned!

Now that I’ve been burned by this app, I am finding all sorts of similarly terrible stories posted by online reviewers. I have no idea how they manage to hide these reviews on google and maintain a decent rating. I used their app to book a tour in Barcelona a few days ago and it was a complete disaster. I paid and showed up for a tour that didn’t exist. (There were others who had also used this app and showed up for the same “canceled” tour.) Their customer service had no idea how to handle the situation and could offer nothing but a “we messed up” email and a promise of a refund. When I explained that when you ruin somebody’s vacation, you actually need to step up and offer them a free tour - they refused. After much back and forth they finally offered a free tour of a different attraction that was a fraction of the I price. We said “no thanks.” Simply disgraceful. The next day I booked the same tour through a different company and it was $60 cheaper so I think this app also overcharges from what I’ve been reading in other reviews. Please don’t trust this company! I wish I had been able to find any accurate reviews when they popped up through my search on google maps.

HORRIBLE

I had a trip booked to Paris, France in March 2020. Booked all of my activities through this app, however we had to cancel due to the Covid-19 crisis. I asked for a refund THREE WEEKS AGO, have yet to see it. I’ve emailed this app MULTIPLE times and every time I get a response such as “oh we are working it” or “we have a lot of volume” which I do understand that it is difficult to contact vendors now, BUT I SHOULD NOT BE ON THE LINE FOR THAT. this app will scam and cheat you for all you are worth- I spent over $1200 on my activities and they are hoarding it due to their business suffering. I would have never guessed when I booked this trip it would be in the midst of a pandemic and this app is using that to their advantage. I plan on going to Paris (which has been a dream of mine for 30 years now) next year and you can be sure I will NOT being using this app for those activities. Viator is much more reliable and they allow you to cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the activity takes place. They do not HOARD you money because THEY are suffering. Please save yourself the pain and suffering and DO NOT SPEND YOU MONEY ON THE SCAMMING, MONEY HUNGRY CORPORATE SHARKS.

Scam Alert!

Don’t believe any positive reviews you see about this company. I can’t speak for experiences in America, but for activities in Europe simply read their trip advisor reviews. Most negative reviews are real people, they just flood reviews page with not reviews to cover up the bad business practices. I bought tickets for the colosseum in Rome to skip the line and showed up 30 minutes early so as to not miss them, my guide never showed up. this app Tours customer service will respond to your complaints by asking for a time stamped photo of you at the meeting place, and then untruthfully claiming you somehow missed the guide and claim it’s your fault. Even if you happen to actually get the product they offer, it’s not worth the risk of being scammed. These morally bereft scammers should be the last company you choose, and notice that there are no ways to cancel or get a refund for these events. Use at your own risk, this company will likely get shutdown some day once enough people catch on

Still Unsure

I bought tickets for the Eiffel Tower, and that went well today. However, I then tried to buy tickets on the same day to visit the Louvre, and “my credit card was declined,” according to Headout . I used 2 credit cards to try and get past this problem, but they were all declined in spite of the fact that there were more than enough funds on both cards. I then called the bank, and they said that nothing was wrong with my cards, and that the problem was with Headout /company.

So, I tried both calling and reaching the this app team via the “chat” option. Both attempts failed. Now, I’m getting concerned about the legitimacy of Headout and the quality of the customer service. However, maybe my experience will change if I can finally reach someone who can help me with my next purchase and if my Eiffel Tower tour goes well. Crossing my fingers.

Perfect for a last-minute tickets

The this app app has the most exciting Broadway shows and concert tickets. There selection of preview tickets for new shows is awesome. It’s an absolute delight booking with Headout given how easy and reliable it is. Unlike other ticketing outlets, you can select your actual seats. This option is something I’ve been waiting for in the world of online booking! Ticket pick up is face-to-face with a this app host at the theatre, no lines, just a quick handoff. I’d give Headout a 10/10.

Disappointing

Thought we bought 3 tickets to Sponge Bob. Confirmation email. Then we got another email which we didn’t see until on way to show that they couldn’t get tickets. Very hard to get on phone. Person called & said he could try to get 3 seats not together. Didn’t call back for hour & half, by which time we tried calling numerous times, nothing. Went on their chat and said too late, just refund, they confirmed. Then they called too late for us to make it to City and said they got tickets. We said no, too late, we can’t get down there. They argued that we confirmed. We said no, I called about 6 times, no one there. They agreed to refund but lousy experience. I put in a claim to my credit card just in case.

Love the app!

Not only is this app a source for booking tickets and activities - it’s an invaluable source of information. It combines two steps into one (researching what you want to do, then hunting for tickets). I really can’t express how much of a time saver it is to be able to just pull out your phone, open Headout , and instantly sort your weekend plans. The descriptions and photos create a realistic expectation of whatever it is your looking to do, and I really appreciate that.

Such a useful app!

Apart from the great prices and convenient booking, Headout also has informative descriptions for the activities available which makes it so much easier to make a decision. I visit New York quite often for work and my free time is quite limited and sporadic. So being able to plan something on the day-of is a HUGE help. The prices are also unbeatable which just adds to the convenience. Headout is amazing!

App OK- Sells Fraudulent Tickets and Wont Refund

I bought tickets for Saint Chapelle in Paris and they were not delivered until after the museum closed that day despite being told by two different help individuals they would be "in 15 minutes" and leaving us waiting outside for tickets that never made it until after it closed. They told me no big deal, I could use them another day so we went back the next day.

The tickets the next day did not allow entry- they were professional tickets for if your with a tour and we were not allowed to enter. We spoke to the church who said that they had numerous instances of this happening by this app and would report it.

this app is refusing to refund the tickets saying they need proof. What more proof than the tickets saying "PRO" on them and having the price for coming with a professional, not individual do they need? The website clearly states a different price than the ticket they gave me so they clearly just want to keep the money.

This is fraudulent- don't use this service

They canceled my reservation the night before

I booked a trip to Versailles with this company for my whole family while visiting Paris. The night before I was supposed to arrive at their location for the trip (literally less than 12 hours) they sent me an email saying “the experience isn’t available anymore for the slot you reserved.” They offered a refund or “another experience.” No, thanks. My experience has been terrible so far, I don’t want another. Meanwhile there were plenty of tickets available on the official Versailles site and I was able to book directly through them. Even saved a money. Won’t be using this app again.

Deals you cannot miss!

this app is absolutely perfect for satisfying your wanderlust in NYC. There are great deals on all sorts of activities - whether that be a show or day outing, it’s a great way to find out what’s going on in the city aside from the things you usually do every weekend. The checkout experiences is super-efficient and the customer care is really top notch. Highly recommend Headout to anyone living in the city.

Horrible Customer Service

Host wasn't where he was supposed to be. Waited on hold for 20 minutes. No answer. Downloaded app for "immediate " help only for the chat page to say "leave a message". No way to get in touch with anyone. Left several messages for a call back. Still waiting lol. Host finally showed up 5 minutes before show NOT where I was told he would be but luckily I walked to theater and he was outside there. Walked into show about a minute before it started. Stressful and awful. Would never use again. Highly disappointed with the fact the 2 days later I'm still not able to get in touch with anyone. Awful just awful.

DON’T Risk it!!!

Purchased tickets for a Broadway show. Day before the show I texted twice and the day of to confirm all was well. Traveled into the city only to hear the tickets were not in my hosts possession. He calls his supervisor only to hear them argue over who’s mistake it was to not have the tickets. Leaving me to figure out how to get my daughter and myself into the show. They were very quick to issue a refund but I would never consider using their service nor would I consider them an actual viable company. The host didn’t prove to be in all his senses either... Oh and he was not wearing the yellow this app bib or hat. Don’t bother buying with them. Don’t fall into their trap!

Warning! - late tickets!

I used Headout to purchase a couple experiences while in Athens. One set of our tickets showed in a few minutes with no worries. However, another set of tickets purchased at the same time didn’t show up until very late. After much waiting around we ended up buying tickets at the gate to keep our schedule. I’ve been in contact with customer support who have informed us of a no refund policy and now I am screwed out of money. Please save yourself the trouble that many here have experienced, including myself now, and take your business elsewhere

Warning!

For our experience visiting the Intrepid museum is that all we got when we thought we bought tickets are actually vouchers. So yes, you have to wait in the line to redeem those vouchers while you watch people go right in with real tickets. I reviewed the entire exchange with Head Out and nowhere was there mention of this. Really bogus!

So disappointed as we had tickets for events later in the afternoon and now the whole day was completely upended. Our genuine distress was noted by a museum supervisor who said Head Out had paid Google to be first in search results. True? IDK. Buyer beware right? So my fault. Just wish this weren’t so prevalent in our society.

Don’t use this app

They take a lot of money, and do nothing. First issue, I was accidentally bought 1 extra ticket, and after 2 minuets asked them to cancel. They said they can’t do nothing. Second issue, there was no information about logging in at first. But after I bought tickets I realized that there is cash back policy, but only if you logged in before purchase. And only if you a Facebook user. I wasn’t in fb, and for this cash back I registered account. Then I again asked this app for help, and again refused. That is why I am absolutely unhappy with this experience and will recommend my friends not to use this app service.

Superb customer care

Had to change the dates for a guided tour of NYC and the this app staff was more than happy to help. My call was answered instantly and I did not have to sit on-hold twiddling my thumbs waiting for help. The rep got everything sorted very quickly and efficiently. She was super sweet and thorough - even spent an extra few minutes giving me some helpful tips for the tour.

Unreliable and poor service

Don't believe all the stuff in the FAQ about "is this legit?" Because it's not. Booked 4 tickets to a Broadway show 3 days ahead of time and after a day of not getting details on the tickets emailed to me, called them only to be told that those tickets really weren't available to begin with and there's nothing they could do. If your tech isn't good enough to provide close enough to real time ticket availability then don't sell tickets. Deleted Headout and won't be using again. Save yourself the trouble and use a real ticket service that actually works.

Horrible customer service.

I bought tickets but was never given any confirmation as to how and when I will receive them. No one answers when you call or use Headout the chat with customer support.
I received a call a few minutes before the show to be outside the show location to pick up the tickets but at that point it was too late because I didn’t even know whether I’d even get the tickets until the very last minute. After emailing customer service about a refund or credit, they flat out refused and stopped responding.

Great experience

We had a great experience using Headout. Our tickets were $70 less than Ticketmaster prices. Loved the ease of use, including ticket pick up the night of the show. Almost seemed too easy! Would definitely recommend and would use again!

Terrible experience. Hours wasted on vacation, no support or remedies from Headout

Where to begin…

this app contacted me less than 18 hours before my scheduled tour to notify me it has been canceled.

They provided no options for rebooking as they canceled to late, and no other options were available!

I reached out through email, and never got a response. I waited 45 minutes for live chat, and they told me they couldn’t help, and would need me to wait for an e-mail update. I’ve spent 3+ hours of my vacation trying to get this fixed, and I paid over $100 for my tickets.

I work in support, and I can tell you this has been the absolute WORST experience with a customer support team. This is gross negligence, and it has ruined the last day of my trip to rome.

PLEASE STAY AWAY!! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY WITHOUT VERIFYING THE TOUR FIRST, THEN WILL CANCEL SO LATE YOU HAVE NO OTHER OPTIONS.

If I could rate this company a negative 5-stars, I would.

Beware of Currency Conversion charges !

The available Dubai offers are Good. The payment worked seamlessly and e-tickets worked well.
But the Currency conversion charges that appeared in the Credit card statement was a surprise! The discount savings that I got from the offer was significantly reduced after these charges. While booking, It was not clear what was the base currency of the site. I could have easily paid in USD with the same card and saved on the AED conversion charges.
The site should should mention their base currency on the payment page, so customers can choose which currency they want to pay.

Great Find

We are planning a road trip from Seattle to Nappa down the west coast and came across Headout. It's awesome in that it helps plan your route, timing, miles between stops, navigation, things to see, accommodations, and more. There are some already established guides for one day and weekend getaways or plan your own. Tip: use the website for even more granular control over trip planning then use Headout in the car. All around great app, this should win some design awards.

Amazing app

On my trip to California from North Carolina, I was able to check out new places that would not have been able to find on my own. Also a great help when trying to find a great place to eat that is off the beating path. Great app and would recommend to anyone who is traveling.

Borderline fraudulent- Rome

We booked tickets to Rome’s Castel Sant Angelo through what looked like an official website which never disclosed it was this app. Then, we were never provided with the audio guide information we paid for and were treated poorly by the so called “host.” The presentation of the website as official and the hiding of the fact that it’s a third party service seems sadly a bit common in Rome but that does not make it Ok. I won’t ever use this app again for any services due to this misleading and ugly experience. On the plus side the visit to Castel Sant Angelo was great but it turns out we never needed anything from this app to help us enjoy it!!

Clunky

Open app, try to log in, it sends a link to your email. Click link, that opens Safari which then opens App store which lets you re-open app, but you haven’t made any progress getting logged in.

Confirmation of ticket purchase arrives in email. Aggregation of getting logged in repeats (even though only a minute or two has passed), as you try to get official ticket. Finally reach a webpage (having given up on Headout ) that has a download link for PDF of ticket. Hit “download” and the PDF is pulled down but not shown in Files (just in Safari recents). When you realize that, you can show the ticket-taker, but you might have multiple PDFs to search through for the (in our case) 5 that are needed (look at the last bit of the looong file name to distinguish one from another and its duplicates).

Awful

First they were not able to book the time they showed and only after we paid they came back and we had to change the time of the museum visit. Then the pdf they showed was only visible on their app and could not download so they can keep you in Headout . Lastly, after a few weeks I noticed my phone battery was strangely draining fast. This morning I looked at the % used and this app was 59% even though I have not used it for weeks. Clearly app has tracking me the whole time, either nefariously or they just have bad developers. Either way, deleting now and never using this service again.

Terrible experience

Terrible. I purchased a combo ticket for the prado museum and Royal palace on March 2024 after selecting my date and paying for the tickets the web this app send me a tickets for different dates, a month later. I contacted the web trying to get my tickets modified but they didn’t help at all. When I went to the museum and try to use the tickets the agents mentioned they often receive complaints from lots of tourist with the same issue. this app didn’t change or modify the date or issue a refund. I had to call my credit card company for help since I had to buy new tickets
