I performed my system check a week before the exam and had a few issues but they were resolved by restarting my phone and reinstalling ProctorExam . On exam day the video would not transmit to my computer that I was taking the exam on and was frozen in the original picture I took during the systems check. The support advised me to “uninstall ProctorExam and restart my phone” which did not work. After about 40 minutes of troubleshooting the support advised me to begin the exam without a secondary device and contact my administrator. If I could give it zero starts I would, made a simple exam very stressful and time consuming.

Sometimes it would say it is connected on the phone but not on the pc. Additionally, the clutch disconnect feature in the last 5 min of exam is very annoying.

Exam material was easy. Using this software was ridiculous. Locked up several times.

NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME...app repeatedly dropped connection during my exam, so I have no idea if my result will be invalidated

Even with doing the system check and following all instructions there’s no way to know if your exam will go through or not. During set up ProctorExam crashed multiple times while I was taking the videos of the environment. I had to restart multiple times. Once I finally went through and started the exam there was no way of making sure ProctorExam was still recording. Once I was finished I checked and it was showing the “scan QR code” screen as it did when it crashed before but there’s no way to know if and when it crashed and whether I’ll be disqualified. What a frustrating experience. Answering the questions on the exam was the easiest part but now I don’t know if I’ll have to go through this nightmare again through no fault of my own.

I cannot understand why it’s necessary to take over both the user’s phone AND computer to take an exam, literally monitoring you like a criminal in your own home with no way to opt out.

Oh, and their privacy policy says that “third party solutions” may be used to “process selected data” “if your institution has consented”... whatever that means! Zero stars for ProctorExam, and zero stars for my institution for requiring it. #*€%#!!!

Very easy to use, no setup required. A very nice experience for a nervous exam candidate.
