Does not sync

It worked well the first 2 days but now it has not synced. TerryberryBeWell doesnt need to be updated and reached out for support and no response. Now I have a challenge that I was apart where I have to walk about 4,00 steps a day but as of and now it just keeps saying I only walked 35 steps for the past 2 days. Which is incorrect because my apple health app says I walked over 6,000 steps both days.

Not sure what to do at this point and I really dont want to risk losing my progress if I disconnect my device. Any help would be appreciated.

Pricey corporate wellness for the limited functionality of this app. Seriously considering others

There’s no way to auto import workouts from Apple fitness, just steps. Cannot import weight and other medical details. I should be able to import all of these metrics automatically each day, not manually enter. I prefer to all of my metrics public such as Heart Rate, sleep, seed oil consumption, processed foods, weight, any whatever I would like to auto import and share. I would prefer to upload more than one image per day as I do more than one workout a day. Strava has some good functionality that TerryberryBeWell developers can learn from. Dissatisfied.

Terrible Customer Support

I am using TerryberryBeWell for a walking contest my company is hosting. For the first few days I was using my Health App on my phone, but I then acquired a Fitbit and synced that to TerryberryBeWell . It ended up deleting all of the data I logged the first few days.

I have been requesting help from the support team for over two weeks. They initially told me to send them any dates and steps I needed to manually add back in and they would correct it for me. I have sent them multiple messages with the information. They have since sent me multiple messages with instructions on how to manually add steps myself, then informed me that adding steps manually was not enabled for the contest I was in, and said to once again send them the dates I needed added back in and they could do it for me. I sent them the dates AGAIN last week, and received no response, acknowledgment of the message, OR have seen my steps added in. I just sent them another request this morning. We shall see if they even bother to answer. Truly truly horrible customer service and I’m starting to question whether it’s a Bot responding to me and not a live person at all.

Self reporting ruins competition

I wouldn’t recommend using this for any sort of competition. Looks like you can just manually enter activity and it will convert it into steps. I was very discouraged once I saw that I was consistently beat at the end of the day by someone entering in activities.

It seems like this is a common complaint but the responses from the company just gloss over how this is an obvious flaw. They are unable to accommodate people that may not want to carry their phone or get a wearable. It’s a competition! There needs to be a way to be held accountable. It should at least be made very obvious on the leaderboard how many are real steps and how many steps are activity steps.

I was really excited about this competition and am very discouraged to even participate. What’s the point when someone can just add steps and beat you. Will be deleting and no longer participating. I even spoke to others at my company and they feel like it’s pointless to try. We have a month long competition and the “winner” has been adding activities so will probably win it in a week or two. Wow. Not fun and kind of has made me despise some coworkers. Haha.

Poor layout very hard to navigate

This new layout is terrible. It is confusing and hard to navigate. Every time I attempt to navigate the ranking someones profile look up pops up blocking my view. If I do attempt to look up a certain person’s profile, the slide moves, and I get somebody else’s.
It’s also hard to tell what rank you are in the challenge. I wish you would go back to the old layout, which was much easier to navigate and understand.
Many times what developers view as an improvement has the opposite effect.

Not a fan of updates

I feel like every update makes something less user friendly or work worse than before. I use TerryberryBeWell because I have to for work benefits, but I shouldn’t have to waste 15 minutes or more a day trying to get my FitBit to synch, and often it won’t synch for days. I can’t figure out where to find the link we used to be able to copy to send anyone if the team was invite only, and now it takes way more steps to check if each team member has synched their steps. I’m not able to find people that want to be added to my team and constantly have to reach out to the main team ag work to help make changes. I’ve used TerryberryBeWell probably 6-7 years, and the last year or so it’s been awful. I wish I could use something else, because I’m one of the more tech savvy on my team, and it’s such a pain trying to figure out how things changed or if I can even find or still use them after each update. It shouldn’t be this hard, especially considering it didn’t used to be so difficult. I also dislike TerryberryBeWell frequently logging me out.

Functionality is a foreign term here

The laundry list of bugs is long. From just pairing to a step counter or device to tracking challenges TerryberryBeWell glitches and deletes data left and right. Deleted our entire team for a step challenge but support said just make the team again and it’ll automatically download the steps again. Ask me how smoothly any of that went. Hint: it’s still not fixed. It’s a free app though so it’s gets a star for that 🤷🏻‍♂️

Really buggy

TerryberryBeWell has a lot of issues. Whenever you refresh the page, it puts everything at zero for a while before updating the numbers. It also tells me for a few minutes that my program has ended and that I can’t edit data. These are more of an inconvenience than anything else since eventually it does update properly, but it’s quite frustrating and worrisome when I am trying to participate in a competition where money for my school is on the line! It also takes a LONG time to load anything about the challenges, almost as if it is loading that information from a web page instead of having it contained in TerryberryBeWell .

Meh

TerryberryBeWell was MUCH more intuitive and user friendly before Terryberry acquired it; it’s a little clunky now. It’s as if the last few years I went on vacation and the car rental company had a black Volkswagen GTI. This year, all they had in that price range was a bright orange Ford Fiesta that requires I use a hammer on the starter to turn over. It does the job but it’s quirky and just doesn’t handle the same or consistently, it’s a lot less sexy.

Could be better

I like that TerryberryBeWell is compatible with my phone and Fitbit but it has some mechanical issues. So far for me I have to be very conscious of the time because after midnight it’s very hard to get it to sync data from the day before (even only second after it strikes 12). I use it for a competition and I got cheated several thousand steps just because of this issue. Other members in my team registered zero steps because TerryberryBeWell doesn’t automatically register your steps if you don’t open TerryberryBeWell up daily. It could function a little better for conversation with team members. Also when you take a picture with TerryberryBeWell it doesn’t save to your phone so in order to keep the picture you’d have to screenshot it or take the picture with your camera first and then upload. Little things could make it a better app. That said, it works well for the competition because we all use the same platform to keep our tallies. These issues are just a source of frustration, especially because competition usually means you’re trying to win and TerryberryBeWell is causing me to do more work than I need to by not functioning as effectively as I would like.

Good, but I have concerns

Overall, TerryberryBeWell is user friendly and appeases the eye; however, I’m a little thrown when you add an activity that it automatically adds steps to what you’ve already accomplished. For example, you can’t just state that you’ve gone running without it adding steps to your total, which were already added when you were running. This concerns me when it comes to the legitimacy of the challenges because it seems that some people are achieving more steps than they’re actually attaining. Plus, when you’re using a fitness app, you want it to be accurate so you know what you’re really accomplishing and can set future goals. With that said, I do like that TerryberryBeWell is able to convert so many different activities into steps, such as swimming, when you aren’t able to have your device (phone) with you.

Doesn’t want to update my activity log

This happened several times a year, maybe it has to do with the update, but it won’t update my steps from my watch. It has accuracy up to four days ago and then now it just sits there and spins and does nothing as I try to. This is a frequent occurrence throughout the year. For the past seven days, it has an updated, and when you go to add/manage a device nothing comes up. Be on top of Apple updates and stop trying to do too much with your app because you just end up making it unusable. Always happens near the end of a challenge.

A few design flaws

Our church recently began using TerryberryBeWell as a means of getting fit together. As the coordinator of our program I’ve found a few design flaws: (1) there is often a delay in syncing one’s steps, requiring users to manually sync almost daily in order for it to accurately count steps, even when TerryberryBeWell is set to sync withe Apple Health and/or Google Fit. (2) There aren’t many devices (smartwatches, etc.) beyond FitBit that TerryberryBeWell will pair with, a handicap in counting steps for those who own a smartwatch other than FitBit.

Fitbit frustrations

I sync my Fitbit to Fitbit’s cloud/Internet presence, I wait 10 minute, and then I check with TerryberryBeWell ( because TerryberryBeWell is used by our organization). If I am lucky, the count it claims to have gotten from Fitbit’s site (which I had to give it permission to access, and too much permission in my opinion) is wrong/old by 6 hours.

This makes things DISCOURAGING because now I appear to be a slacker (which right now, I am). TerryberryBeWell has never been perfect with Fitbit products/website (I have owned 3 different types of Fitbit devices), but right now, it is the pits.

I gave it 2 stars because like a broken clock, it may be right twice a day.

Decent app

I just wish that it would add in other types of workouts automatically, like weight training and cycling. Also, it doesn’t seem to covert my mileage to the right amount of steps. I ran 15.1 one day, without my other steps, and it reported my daily steps as 13.1. I have the stride length right. Maybe steps run being longer than those walked plays a factor in calculations?

Easy to Use with My Activity Program

My company set up a Walker Tracker challenge. TerryberryBeWell made it easy for me to register for the challenge. Plus I use TerryberryBeWell to enter my steps and track my progress in the challenge. I like an app that is simple to use and doesn't require me to learn a lot of instructions to use it. TerryberryBeWell was great. It was easy and allowed me to focus on meeting my activity goals.

New to Walker Tracker

TerryberryBeWell is great, great tracking methods and the ability to add other entries such as food, mindfulness, weight etc.

The thing that is very necessary and would be beneficial for me, is the ability to add my weight training sessions or HIIT Workouts or running.

There’s just an option for wheelchair which I’m not quite sure why this is the ONLY option for an entry on activities.

Losing points and steps

From the beginning TerryberryBeWell will not count all of steps, I have been losing as much a 3000 steps in one day. And as of the 15th it has stopped counting them all together. We have tried everything, even taking TerryberryBeWell off and putting back on. I have a fit bit, and a Apple Watch , neither will work. TerryberryBeWell is messing up again.

Really enjoying this App

We joined TerryberryBeWell as part of a town competition. It’s great motivation to see where you are individually but also how the town teams rank. We used to do Fitbit challenges with friends but it could only be with other people who had Fitbits. This opens it up to more people with different types of fitness trackers.

Above and Beyond

I have been using TerryberryBeWell for a few months now and it is very inspirational. I have a Fitbit but walker tracker goes above and beyond in recording my workout data. There are even challenges and teams to compete with each other. Our company is doing a challenge right now with all of our North American locations in a friendly competition. It just motivates us to walk and stay more informed with our health and personal fitness goals. Great for team building too! I would highly recommend TerryberryBeWell!!
