Very slanted news coverage

KIRO7PinPointWeather has so many moving parts like videos and ads running it is difficult to find meaningful content. It also jams up my iPhone even though I have plenty of data available.

Way too many notifications that are not alerts. We need to know the significant alerts, not insignificant notifications as it has been since I downloaded KIRO7PinPointWeather . How about relaying only the impactful weather? Another issue I have is this is ONLY WEATHER “ALERTS” not news alerts. So it should be called “weather alerts”.

But the videos never work. I get these pinpoint notifications several time a day. When I click on them, a pop up box comes up with, “Video Error”, “Cannot play the requested video.”
I used to think it was something I did wrong, like I waited too long to click on the notification. However, it happens even if I click on it a couple seconds after the notification pops up.

This has to be one of the most unreliable weather apps out there. It is rarely accurate.

App could be improved by a quick summary of the weather prior to all the videos

Although we live in the viewing area, KIRO 7 rarely covers our weather except on the radar. Then half the time the screen is zoomed in so our area is not in the frame. We live in E Lewis Co. and would love to know what our weather is going to do also. It seems if you don’t live in the metro area, you don’t count.

Nicely organized. User friendly. The right amount of detail but not so much as to obscure the forecast . Best out of the other 5 I have tried so far.

The coverage is good when you finally get to it.

The interface is user-friendly and well-desIgned. Like the radar feature ALOT. I like that I am able to program several locations and check the weather between cities- especially animated radar. It works very well on my Ipad.

KIRO weather forecasts are the best because they don’t generalize and say “Seattle will have wind and rain” (for example). They always get specific about when the weather will hit and in what neighborhoods and they’re very accurate! Morgan and Nick are the best!!

Love KIRO7PinPointWeather because the radar gives the EXACT location of the weather specific location from the Doppler Radar. I use it everyday for specific location planning.

I totally am not liking the upgraded weather app. Really enjoyed the visuals before and find this presentation very boring. I’ll be looking for a new app version that currently looks the way you used to. You should not fix something that’s not broken

So last week I updated the iPad with the ios8 and that was it, as soon as KIRO7PinPointWeather tries to open it crashes and shuts down. Now I like KIRO7PinPointWeather a lot but something needs to be done about this bug so I can get back on it otherwise I can't use it even if I wanted to. Home someone is on top of this

Since brand new redesign, my app appears to show Celsius maybe?? Because on what was a very warm 85* yesterday, KIRO7PinPointWeather showed 18*! And you say Celsius is not available on KIRO7PinPointWeather , so not getting an accurate temp makes this completely useless. Bummer, this was the most accurate in my opinion.

I wanted to like KIRO7PinPointWeather, I really did. But that changed when I was awoken in the middle of the night to no less than 3 alerts about the exact same wind watch, which was still 24 hours away. And the alerts are a man’s voice talking to you. It appears you cannot change that in any settings. While you can reduce the types of alerts you receive, it would be wonderful to be able to adjust the volume, etc. if I’m going to get them that often. Deleted KIRO7PinPointWeather and hoping to get more sleep tonight.

All the weather apps have inconsistent future weather patterns, problem with KIRO7PinPointWeather is they provide an hourly estimate they make no effort to update, KIRO7PinPointWeather currently reads 79 degrees at 12:12am, however the hourly reader says it should be 65 at 12am (12 minutes ago), and it will be 67 at 1am (best guess it's not gonna drop 12 degrees in 45 minutes). In other words KIRO7PinPointWeather is pretty much only useful for current temp, which you can find on many other apps or just putting a thermometer outside your window. Also I've been looking at the 5 day range for several weeks and they have been missing the mark pretty much everyday on the high and low. I know weather is difficult to predict but if they updated on a regular basis it would make KIRO7PinPointWeather better than the rest, but it doesn't so it's below average.

The option to allow KIRO7PinPointWeather access to my location only when KIRO7PinPointWeather is running isn't there for me. I don't think they're intentionally tracking me. Not worth a hit on my battery.

There needs to be a for-pay service offered because the adverts are appallingly bad. The banner makes what would be a nice experience ugly and if takes too much screen space. I'll gladly pay a monthly fee to avoid adverts.

Asking to "follow us even when the device is off" is not necessary for the functionality of KIRO7PinPointWeather. Makes me wonder what kind of tracking is going on under the hood.

Rating: 4-stars minus 2 for the obtrusive adverts.

This is almost a good ap, but it would be a lot better if you could actually read the daily forcast.
You get to read a few words of it, but the words run out of room and there is no way to display the entire message.

It’s a great app but I cannot make it big enough to see it and it always shuts down when I try to download the news for the weather and I don’t know if I’m getting a toilet weather

It's ok... It does the job, but needs some improvements. I found KIRO7PinPointWeather itself kind of laggy but I was still able to still to view the forecast.

Menus take up too much space. I want to see the hourly and it gets squeezed down to a sliver

I love KIRO7PinPointWeather and that it works with my weather at home or anywhere in the country. However there is no legend to tell me what the colors on the radar mean. With that it would be perfect for my needs.
