News 6 Pinpoint Hurricane Reviews

This is the only hurricane I watch because I know that Tom does not sensational the storms. I can trust that what Tom says is not blown out of proportion and just his honest thoughts of where the storm is going. Before it retired I was the disaster recovery officer for a community bank and one of my responsibilities was to keep my staff safe from the storms which is why I always trusted Tom and his team!

I downloaded after a mention during a newscast during a trip to Florida ( actually needed and referred to during an evacuation - there for a major conference). I have use extensively for 2 + years and it’s been extremely reliable. Let’s just say I refer to it before I see weather mentioned on a major weather channel. Thank you

When you live in an area where there are annual hurricanes that could possibly impact your livelihood, News6PinpointHurricane keep you apprised of all developing storms well in advance of when they might make landfall. Easy to understand and use, and has alerts so you don’t need to check it unless you get such an alert. Highly recommended.

If my grandfather was here he would totally love News6PinpointHurricane! As a small business plant nursery owner in south Miami, he religiously tracked hurricanes in the 50s and 60s on large hand drawn tracking maps. News6PinpointHurricane is so easy to get quick accurate information about those weather threats. As a Floridian I check it daily, and think of Deeda Frank when I do.

Even though Spectrum failed us before the storm even started and for 9 days after, we were able to use News6PinpointHurricane to stay informed and safe and know what was happening in the world around us.

Gives me information as to how close Dorian is to our house. Gives me an idea how far eye is to our location. I called and asked if information shown on app was decimal part of a degree or was it showing minutes. Was told it showed a decimal part of a degree.

I used News6PinpointHurricane all through Dorian and never missed an update except in the middle of the nite! News6PinpointHurricane was very helpful and I knew what was happening when I wasn’t able to watch on or social

And channel 6 news app!

I read Tom’s updates on this big storm hourly. It is so good to be able to depend on someone to keep us updated with the latest changes.
Tom Sorrells is an expert when it comes to hurricanes. We always keep our tv tuned into him until the power goes out. Great job Tom!!

May absolute favorite feature is the blue dot! I work both in & outside, so being able to check the radar & know where I am is so helpful!

App does not always reset properly. During Dorian, map showing hurricane became stuck on an old “update” map and there was no way to clear it. Even after closing News6PinpointHurricane , when next opening it, it was still stuck displaying the same old frame. Useless.

I depend on the PinPoint app to keep me informed about what is happening in the tropics. When a hurricane threatens central Florida I am checking News6PinpointHurricane many times a day.

To make News6PinpointHurricane better I suggest you add the date and time to the update.

All the staff really convey a friendly and welcoming on TV environment. I feel as though they are working for their community 1st and then the paycheck. Happy, loving, caring, and willingness to help their communities type of hardworking people shine Channel 6 to being the best station in Central Florida.

App is easy to navigate and loads fast. The only station that consistently covers all counties, not just famous ones, with specific info. Highly accurate. And just the best team to watch live. Thank you for News6PinpointHurricane.

This hurricane app is awesome, very reliable and accurate when it comes to hurricane season. News alerts, and team coverage on the storm, in the Atlantic basin. Thank you Tom for creating this hurricane app for me and the rest of the public.

You couldn’t ask for a better team of meteorologists. They were on top of everything to keep us aware of what was happening with Hurricane Dorian. Thank you Channel 6! You’re the best!

The most wonderful way to deal with the anxiety of an approaching Hurricane. I have checked News6PinpointHurricane every time that the predictions have come out from the National Hurricane Center. It is a good way to help me feel better, This and praying to St. Medard just can not be beat!!!

It made me the family weather man - since I am retired I kept watch the whole season to keep them informed while they were at work on any approaching systems.

I have used Pinpoint Hurricane Tracker for a couple of years. I've shared it with coworkers all over Florida. It is easy to use and I love it. News6PinpointHurricane kept me out of Puerto Rico twice, once for approaching Irma and most important for Maria as she headed west. Thank you!
