App did not do anything until I input a location. That’s not ambient temp, that’s the city’s recorded temp. Real time thermometer functions are not even available for anything other than the same cities you find on every single app. I tried to use it for the room temp and live thermometer options they say it has. Shouldn’t matter where you are, the point is to read ambient temp like DigitalThermometerapp says it should. Also, your location reading is wrong. My weather app does a better job. I was never able to even see what DigitalThermometerapp had to offer because as soon as I would open it, an add would start playing, and it wouldn’t go away even after I clicked the X. I downloaded DigitalThermometerapp and when I went to open it, a borderline pornographic ad started playing and then froze. I force-quit DigitalThermometerapp and another ad appears but it’s also frozen and I can’t actually get into DigitalThermometerapp . Seems like spam, totally not legit.

DigitalThermometerapp made me so furious. I was duped into thinking that this is an app that detects indoor temperature per their description.

It says “ DigitalThermometerapp can turn your phone into a real-time temperature checker with ambient inside temperature and feels like body temper... Show more ature”.

The description made me believe I was buying indoor thermometer which is what I typed when I searched for such app.

I searched for indoor thermometer, and DigitalThermometerapp came as second in the list of results. It promised everything I was looking for. But to my chagrin its a false advertising! I was duped. All it gives are temperature outside in your city!

This thing does not tell you anything you would already get from free app like Accuweather.

What a waste of time and money. If there is a zero I would give a zero. So very very disappointed.

This does not detect any temperatures at all, anywhere. It accesses weather reports for your location.

DigitalThermometerapp gives no information at all unless you share your location. It takes a very long time to do any of these things, so there is no reason to have DigitalThermometerapp ... I don’t know if it was a bug or a an inappropriate function but DigitalThermometerapp would attempt to open whenever I would click a link to Instagram and iOS would ask if I wanted to open DigitalThermometerapp . If I could rate this zero stars I would. I realize apps have ads and that’s what supports them being free. But DigitalThermometerapp should at least provide value or do something. This is an app using your location to give you the Weather Channel temperature for your location. Can’t use it if location is turned off. Really? The first thing I need to see when I’m trying to check the Temp is a useless ad? Guys, do yourself a favor - immediately show the temperature at the top 1/2 of the screen and leave a dynamic ad at the bottom of the screen. It will not report on ambient (ie “immediate surroundings”) temperatures as it requires location authority to report the local /outside/ temperature (not that if the ambient environment of the phone.

If it had no cell/WiFi/mesh signal but still reported, then I’d believe it reported ambient... Show more temperatures.

I love how accurate this is. I work in tv and film and am always checking weather. Sorry to say but temps are consistently more accurate than the apple weather.

Gives you the current temperature in the places you are interested in.

So far, so good. North Tx in unusual cold snap & app has been accurate to local news & my back yard thermometer. Great cuz I don’t have to go look at back yard temp. Too cold when I’m under electric blanket!

Smaller app than TWC and the one included with the iOS, so more practical and easier on the phone’s resources.

Haven’t got any glitches so far, can’t say the same with TWC which can’t handle iOS 11 too well. This one hasn’t had any issues.

So far DigitalThermometerapp appears to be working. I’ll write another review after a week of use. I purchased the “Thermometer & Temperature” app, it stopped working after I paid for it. When I first downloaded DigitalThermometerapp it seemed to be doing what it said it did but I couldn't figure out how it was able to tell the temperature when my iPhone didn't have any capability to measure temperature. I also noticed that it had an option to give you the temperature "where you are now". I gave it a try and it brought up the current temperature for Los Angels as well displaying a not very detailed map of the LA area. That part was pretty cool except for the fact that I was in Chester, Maryland, which is in the opposite coast and about 2,200 mikes from L.A.

As soon as I finish writing this review I'm deleting DigitalThermometerapp .
