SkyAlert used to work better. The current version sometimes doesn’t send notifications. Thankfully we have the public alarm system in Mexico. Also, an annoying glitch in this version means that in “Do Not Disturb” mode, if you choose to receive notifications, you receive ALL notifications, even for quakes that are relatively distant and at 4.5 on the Richter scale - in other words, these smaller quakes don’t wake you, but SkyAlert does. SkyAlert used to allow you to choose the level at which you would be notified. I would be much more satisfied with SkyAlert if that setting were restored. That would allow me to be awoken when a larger quake occurs, but not for more minor temblors that we don’t feel.

I payed my subscription to the gold level but it doesn’t appear. I’ve tried to restore the purchases, to contact the developer. I’ve pushed the button that says that I have trouble with my subscription, (which really shouldn’t exist at all) and a message appears that an email was sent to the developer, no one has contacted me, no one has fixed this issue and my money is gone!!!!

SkyAlert shows me when a earthquake happens and how hard it hit. I live in California and we just got one, I’m glad it warned me. I love everyone no matter happens

I have the gold program, so I’m paying an annual service, why I’m not getting the alerts now that I’m paying and when I had the “normal” option (no paying)I was receiving alerts? This is ridiculous!!!!

Keeps me updated about earthquakes in my country and where my family resides. Highly recommended for Mexican expatriates living abroad.

I opened SkyAlert and started filling out the information, but when I come to the last question, it asks me if I wan “sky alert gold” and it won’t work after that. I clicked yes, I clicked no, I exited SkyAlert , I closed SkyAlert , I deleted it and reinstalled it, but nothing, it just won’t work.

I've paid twice the annual fee just so that it always shows I haven't paid a thing... They won't answer when I report this through SkyAlert ! It's a shame because it's the best looking app comparing it to the others but I won't stay with the kind of service they provide.

Great idea. But I haven’t been able to get SkyAlert to work right recently. In spite of smart filter being turned on and having a valid subscription, it still goes off for tremors that are far away. Just got me up at 1:00 am. Hope next version is better.

I like SkyAlert but missed last hearth quake

It is constantly logging me out, so when it’s on works otherwise useless. These types of apps, safetywise, shouldn’t do that.

Won’t refresh data even re installing SkyAlert .

Everytime there is an update i have problems with my subscription. This means it goes back to showing alerts for every little quake even though I paid a full year to get the so called smart filter. This time i have deleted SkyAlert and sent a mail to customer service. Of course i got crickets. For an app that prides itself in protecting your life it has so many bugs its not funny. I bet its just a couple of guys working on the backend. Customer service is laughable. And SkyAlert in general is unreliable having at some point even had fake alerts sent, having logged out for no reason. Save yourself the money and the fear of the horrible sounding alarm. There are better options.

Today early morning, an earthquake of 7.0 richter happened in south Mexico. SkyAlert sent an alert with an intensity of 4, when intensity should have been way higher according to the rate scale of values used in SkyAlert . The alarm was supposed to sound, but it didn't happened. However I received 3 alerts about earthquakes around 2-3 level of intensity (not magnitud). I think SkyAlert should review the way of rating each event accordingly and correctly with there intensity vs magnitud scale.

I purchased SkyAlert so I could only get some of the alerts --the ones relevant to my location. After updating my preferences I'm still receiving alerts from EVERYWHERE no matter the intensity of seismic activity. This is really annoying and disappointing. Also doesn’t make any sound during night and silent mode. I would think a safety app should override those settings, just like the alarm and timers do.

I used ti love SkyAlert. One day it started crashing and it wasn't really reporting seismic alerts accurately. Suddenly, they update and "pimp it up" and now, they want to charge $4 dollars -which are not explained anywhere in SkyAlert 's site at the store. I wonder why the lack of information and i don't feel i should pay what is not explained. It makes me feel cheated, especially when it had stopped working correctly before the update.

I keep getting the weak earthquake alerts even though my smart filter is on and my subscription is paid.
Also, miss the voice alert.

I really like SkyAlert but i rarely hear the alarms.... what’s it good for if the alarm doesn’t work?

Of all apps I've ever had , this one has been so helpful . For the past 2 earthquakes that I've felt in Mexico City , this app has warned me 60 seconds before the earthquake strikes .. Well done .. Saving lives

This is a great app! It could save lives but you need one key improvement. Now it does not work unless SkyAlert is open and at the forefront. If it is in the background then it does not work with alerts. Please improve it!
